Nick should send a Subject Access Request to the Bank to find out the info they have on him and this will show why they closed his account. Thereafter he should sue the bank.
Another bank coming out with the biggest load of bollocks concerning their shitty actions. I was wondering when they would join Bank of Scotland, Coutts, NatWest and I’m sure there will be other despicable actions to follow. The government needs to intervene and outlaw this kind of behaviour unless there is indisputable proof they are breaking the law!

No! In order to export a weapon system (any weapon system) you need a license from the government. So he must be operating with government approval. So that excuse isn't going to work for the bank.

This is about the wrong people in positions of power.
I strongly suspect these rules and regulations are intended to make the banks think harder and pay more attention, instead they, like many British organisations nowadays, would prefer to promote cheaper less qualified people into decision making roles rather than recruit and retain more experienced staff. (This is now rife throughout Britain, from the schools through to the police and here the banking sector). They do not want to be scrupulous and meticulous but rather chase short term profits driven by "targets" pulled out of somebody's @r$€ in order to maximise end of year dividends to please share holders.
Low quality people make low quality decisions, you keep a turnover of second rate managers for long enough and it will degrade the country's performance. Which is partly why many of us feel that the UK is becoming more and more second rate.

Yes. Bank clients who stay in the black, are never overdrawn and who never borrow money are now seen to be 'bad' customers. To the modern high street bank, a good customer is an individual who is constantly having to borrow money to stay afloat. Barclays are now closing accounts that are in any way associated with an address outside the UK (for example, ex-pat banking). It must be costing them millions!
I know 100% that the Govt forces some banks to open/maintain accounts for some entities. The Govt can sort this out, if it chooses so to do.
Why are people just realising that banks are terrible things. You are FORCED into having a bank account in the UK otherwise you can't even pay a bill nowadays. Why? Because money is power and what do politicians have huge connections with? Yup. Corporate companies and banks. They run the country.
Oh, and as a last comment...what do most major politicians do when they retire? Yup. They join a board of a corporate company or bank and get paid hundreds of thousands for one or two days a month of work. Why? Because of the contacts they have that keeps the inner circle keep going.

Because Barclays blocked their sales to Ukraine. They tried another route, with Wise, they refused the business too. All the banks are shi**ing themselves because of Standard Chartered fined $1.1 Billion in July 2023, Deutsche Bank fined $630 million, JP Morgan fined $920 million, HSBC fined $1.9 Billion etc. for money laundering. So now Barclays have also debanked all the British living in France that had UK bank accounts for their UK pensions etc. It is risk assessment gone mad.

the first entity that shows it is not prejudiced or woke in any shape or form and puts reliability and customer service at the forefront will be inundated with new customers - for now I have reduced what is held in the bank account (not mentioned yet by the media) by 75% as it seems none of them deserve any consideration.................

Disappointing to hear Wise is involved here. I'd hoped it was a good company. Barclays is not a surprise. A friend of mine had his overdraft facility removed by Barclays because he HASN'T used it. He had it as a back-up. Odd. He has loans and all sorts with them, so they make money from him.

This is funny. 1. UK MoD have asked Zelensky’s boys not to use Challengers > on the front lines, real tanks though out of date, because with the world - but not UK viewers for whom it is cancelled by the wokerati - watching the best of US, German, French military tech burn up like roman candles on bonfire night it is not a good look for the marketing crews. 3. These FV are out of date. Russia’s new drones which they are using in mass now swipe better FV’s like flies, Swat swatted. UK MOD will not want to see these in Ukraine, because they will be destroyed very quickly, taking the soldiers with them, in bits and pieces. Bad publicity. Even the Challengers have been updated with (dodgy) drone protection cages. Look at the new tanks and armoured vehicles pouring into Ukraine from Russian factories (no manufacturing base in US/ UK/Europe) equipped for modern warfare with EW systems and Heavy drone protection. Never thought I would agree with Barclays closing someone Bank Account BUT with this one I totally agree. This guy if profiteering from the misery in ukraine. If he really wanted to help ukraine he would tell the UK government to stop giving ukraine money and military equipment and to get ukraine and russia into PEACE talks. @chrisbacon3071 up until the vehicles are deployed as medical assets they are AFV's. In this particular interview i see no red crosses so generally speaking they still remain APC 's or troop carriers. They could be MK 1s ( petrol) or MK2s Diesel or a combination of the 2.
@@keithgoodrick-meech3921 I think they are mk2s… he has painted Red Crosses on quite a few of these APC but for the moment I don’t think these will get them, also I think calling them AFVs isn’t quite right, like yes they are going to a war zone but they’re not going to do the fighting… idk maybe someone more knowledgeable can tell us.
@chrisbacon3071 you could well be right about the present situation however, the 432 was designed specifically as a AFV, variants include the GPMG mounted in a turret and a mortar base plate as well as the REME recovery variant and the ambulance version. I was at the School of infantry, Warminster in the 70s working in the APC platoon.
