This shows just what a soldier is. A person. Under the Kevlar and armor, its a person. Ukraine, moreso than most places, is that place where every soldier is a chef, a bookkeeper, a pianist like here, or something other. They're just people
I'm from Ukraine and just so you know: this guy is real. He calls himself "piano extremist". He's not a soldier, he was taking part in 2014 Revolution. He has been playing piano for month on a burnt bus during the violent protests in Kiev and became one of revolution's many symbols.
Błüęøñ123’š Fåctørÿ Yes, you can see on the video that he's playing on the street among regular people. I reckon that he became a street performer, who travels around the country.
This is a good video. It shows that soldiers are humans too. They have lives, families, etc. They’re not just people wielding guns. They’re brave people facing the ugliest things one can only imagine.
The little girl represents the juxtaposition between innocence and war. While the Ukrainian soldier plays on the piano, she dances to the melody. She's unaware of what's going on in her own hometown. On the other hand, the adults are cognizant of the emotional and physical trauma that people are dealingwith. The girl dancing makes this video all the more emotional and realistic.
Though another interpretation of this may be that the soldiers piano may be symbolic of his weapon of which he utilises do change the face of history for the sake of his cause, this is evident through the bystanders judicious range of emotions further solidifying the statement
Clicked for the lulz - Stayed for the feels You can really appreciate the polarity of human nature in this clip - You've got his black uniform, his balaclava, his tactical vest and the overall scary militaristic appearance, but then you've got the fact that he's just sitting there playing a song on the piano, wearing a wedding ring and just being a normal human by all means. It really is true what they say, that you can find beauty no matter under what mask.
@@digital_u4ia Hi, bro. Now i will show you a title from UA wiki. Piano Extremist (also vidomy yak Pianist Maidanu) - Ukrainian pianist and composer, artist. The history of the people, as she opened the image, flying around the weight of the lights. The image, which was formed by the bitter generation of Ukrainians on the way to the Maidan, the hour of the Revolution of Dignity. The founders of important historical warehouses and, through the author's talent for the project, up to classical music, the genre of his master's creativity can be called historical neoclassic.
Background info from CNN in 2014, this guy moved to Ukraine after his wife and son died, take note of the wedding ring. He was volunteering in the revolution at the time, saw this piano in a square and decided to play, and from then on he was known as the "Piano Extremist."
This is amazing. The mask, the uniform- removing any sort of humanity from his figure. He appears as one of the many others, he is sameness. But then he plays- and he does something that only a human could truly do. He sparked something, he conveyed emotion. The shot of the sheer music, running down to his hands. The beauty is that, in this shot, we can see that he is wearing a wedding ring- this man is truly human. He has a family, a life, a purpose- and we want to relate. That song he played wasn’t for no reason. This man has so much to say, and without saying one word, he said all of it. Through his song, this man makes me completely resonate him, and I feel everything he his conveying through music. just had to get these thoughts out…
That's a good way to put it. With the full soldier outfit and the sadness of war that he is there to be assigned he came and truely opened himself while remaining the nameless soldier he is forced to be
See that wedding band? That man has a family. Yet he's fighting for independence. He's like you and me. He's no different from any of us. Caught in a whirlwind that just doesn't stop. Free Ukraine
Xav X u mean free upain? These people got what they deserve, at least most of them. Bandera, UPA, alliance with Wermacht and yet, they still support them.
Xav X No, bro, slavs should be togheter, whatever their religion or political preferences are... They are brothers, the sons and grandsons of the once comrades in the Great Patriotic war are fighting each other, families divided by such ridiculous wars... You may think they aren't but afterall they are, they are KILLING THEIR BROTHERS for money and to break the chains from Russia, yet their chains are not russian, but from the corrupt politicians and oligarchs in their own motherland...
That man is like you and me, he fights for his family and his people, but they are falling to the obstacles, getting split and disunited, the cigarettes and alcohol kills them, their politicians split them up and lies them, telling them to kill their brothers, the religions aren't that far... United, the slavic peoples are capable of achieving huge things, United, the Soviets reached the further skies, United, the Yugoslavs broke free from the Nazis, United, the Soviets stopped the Nazi War Machine, with a sacrifice no people in the world would do, United they are strong, because, THE UNION MAKES THE STRENGTH -A random Italian descendant Chilean who wishes you all have a good day
Xav X His wife and their child died. That's why he's that incredible sad. He also isn't an actual soldier. There are interviews with him on UA-cam if you don't believe me.

A young man, his face covered yet his person comes through in his music, a child dances in the background, the disparity between their lives and experiences are so great, yet in this moment their is a commonality between them, and it’s built on the universal human element of music.
John Sierra Kind of just like we are all having this strange experience of coming from all corners of UA-cam to be united by the reccomendation system causing this beautiful video to suddenly gain tons of views? Really amazing.
Abram Fitch well said.
Apparently the guy playing the piano lost his wife and child due to the civil war in Ukraine. I hope he found peace, this music is a representation of what a beautiful soul he has in my opinion. God bless.
Jack Doe everyone has lost in Ukraine due to the war, it’s heartbreaking and doesn’t see an end in sight
That's sad :/
It’s not a civil war, it’s an invasion
What can we do?😭
I pray for you. But as you know many Russians are ordinary people as we are. I wish that the war makers get off from our earth.

"Hero"
He was a commander in Nazi German army, and was one of the people responsible for a slaughter of 50.000-100.000 Polish civilians in Volhyn (most of them women and children). I'm sure Ukraine has better heroes to commemorate in the present time.

To everyone saying F HE'S NOT DEAD. I posted this comment before but I figure I'll repost it now.
To all of the people wondering this is Bogdan "The Piano Extremist". Dude lost his wife and kid and was feeling Terrible as you might expect. Then the maidan protests happened, he saw the piano and started to play.. He even wrote a song for a friend of his who was killed in the conflict. He has a soundcloud with various covers on. Just search "piano extremist" on there.
His name is a jab at the political figures in power calling those who were protesting militants and extremists.
iirc He's in the documentary "Piano" too, giving an interview

F = Respect not RIP
Also putting f in the comments is to show respect to all the fallen soldiers
@@violetto7769 It literally is a reference to a scene in a video game where you literally "press the f key to pay your respects" to the dead.... So No. It's directed at the dead.
@@electrovplat1474 If you wish to do so that a fair enough claim, however as the person playing is neither a soldier nor fallen, I don't see the relevance here. That being said I too hold great respect to the fallen, and am eternally grateful to those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Who's here after Russia declared war on Ukraine?
•_○
And before. This vid has aged well.
This shows just what a soldier is. A person. Under the Kevlar and armor, its a person. Ukraine, moreso than most places, is that place where every soldier is a chef, a bookkeeper, a pianist like here, or something other. They're just people
And as a family as well (the ring he has )...
Every man is a brother, father, uncle, grandpa, you name it. I love how this brings that out
who knows?
No he work with me he Russian komrade
I'm from Ukraine and just so you know: this guy is real. He calls himself "piano extremist". He's not a soldier, he was taking part in 2014 Revolution. He has been playing piano for month on a burnt bus during the violent protests in Kiev and became one of revolution's many symbols.
O-o-oh very interesting!
Super cool. I like him a lot. I hope he achieved great things 😁😁😁

Хорошего тебе Настроения! Is he free and still alive
Błüęøñ123’š Fåctørÿ Yes, you can see on the video that he's playing on the street among regular people. I reckon that he became a street performer, who travels around the country.
The song is "Nuvole Bianche" by " Ludovico Einaudi" for those who might be wondering. Beautiful piece of music.
You legend, Thank You So Much!! I've have been searching for this song for ages now!! Legit months!! Thank Youu

F from Italy, thanks for playing Einaudi.
This is a good video. It shows that soldiers are humans too. They have lives, families, etc. They’re not just people wielding guns. They’re brave people facing the ugliest things one can only imagine.
I wanted to cry when I saw his wedding band. Agree with you 100%
He's not an actual soldier he's a protestor
smoking while playing piano in the cold, that's Slav
The little girl represents the juxtaposition between innocence and war. While the Ukrainian soldier plays on the piano, she dances to the melody. She's unaware of what's going on in her own hometown. On the other hand, the adults are cognizant of the emotional and physical trauma that people are dealingwith. The girl dancing makes this video all the more emotional and realistic.
Jason Trang yeah some fuckin' lit moves out there 🔥🔥
Nice comment but this ain’t fuckin English class
Though another interpretation of this may be that the soldiers piano may be symbolic of his weapon of which he utilises do change the face of history for the sake of his cause, this is evident through the bystanders judicious range of emotions further solidifying the statement
The things that makes this sad is
The backstory
The purpose he's doing this
The song itself
Clicked for the lulz - Stayed for the feels
You can really appreciate the polarity of human nature in this clip - You've got his black uniform, his balaclava, his tactical vest and the overall scary militaristic appearance, but then you've got the fact that he's just sitting there playing a song on the piano, wearing a wedding ring and just being a normal human by all means. It really is true what they say, that you can find beauty no matter under what mask.
I feel you!
damn
What he play is a fantasy,
what he wear is the reality.
True story but we live in a fantasy world with peace and harmony...

I come back here every now and then but never looked into the guy, you found some facts?

With the full soldier outfit and the sadness of war that he is there to be assigned he came and truely opened himself while remaining the nameless soldier he is forced to be
This needs to be the top/pinned comment
United, the slavic peoples are capable of achieving huge things, United, the Soviets reached the further skies, United, the Yugoslavs broke free from the Nazis, United, the Soviets stopped the Nazi War Machine, with a sacrifice no people in the world would do, United they are strong, because, THE UNION MAKES THE STRENGTH
