P.S. 'Radical joy' also maps onto Nietzsche's idea of 'slave morality': the oppressed overthrowing the noble morality as to equalise on their terms, so that their morality is the superior. The whole 'critical' movement is slave morality. They are defined in relation to the noble, which manifests itself proper. Nietzsche claims the noble man exists forward, creates openly, but the slave morality cannot create or move forward on their own terms. They only exist in relation to being anti-noble, hating the noble, removing the noble. (Of course, this does seem to be related to the actual black power movement types, so there are roots in slavery itself, but Nietzsche does not mean literal slave so much as 'spiritual slave', and Jordan Peterson a few days ago said that this is the same as wokeism, as well.)
