- Laurie Perez provides continued coverage from the Grapevine, where a massive 4,400-acre blaze dubbed the Post Fire has forced more than 1,200 people to evacuate their homes.
I still don't understand how these fires start all the time!

I remember driving from Santa Barbara to San Diego through a massive fire on both sides of the grapevine back in the early 2000s. Whole streets of homes on fire, swirling smoke, crazy winds. I was terrified the whole way through.

Gorman is not on the grapvine. It's about 4 miles from the top end. Also said fire is moving Southeast (away from grapevine).
