- Wildfires in the US state of New Mexico continue to burn out of control after destroying more than 1,000 homes in the state.
The entire population of one New Mexico town was ordered to evacuate.
Overall, more than 70 million Americans, about one in five people, remain under heat alerts on Wednesday. Heat alerts also apply in six Canadian provinces.
Meanwhile, tropical Storm Alberto has formed over Western Gulf of Mexico.

@@brianroesch3259 it depends on the climate there. In some forest it's pretty wet like over the wintertime to decay this a bit. In other areas where it's dry those sticks can become easy fire fuel but Gras can be decayed everywhere by animal and livestock. Because this dry grass like in California can easily be ignited by a spark or so.

Has anyone watching a U.S. based commercial news service broadcast ever heard tell of the 1%C/4% moisture-in-the-air relationship? It was an American meteorologist who was interviewed, and he was excellent, but he’s nowhere on “our” stations. And has anyone enjoyed watching The Weather Channel - of all places - tying itself in knots trying to avoid discussing the human-influenced aspect of climate change/global warming? Comical if it wasn’t tragic. TWC much prefers heroic rescue operations coverage and “exciting” storm-of-the-century type entertainment to ever mentioning the unmentionable: Fossil Fuels. Thanks BBC. It's been like this for millennium. Think about this, subtropical countries like Indonesia Philippines Malaysia build mostly prefabricated and low cos houses, if you look at the low land mass, the houses are not it's not constructed like the European model. So when they get hurricane and tropical storms they suffer greater damage to their infrastructure. After these storms have past the area looks like a nuclear explosion. So it's not because the weather is more violent it's because of unsuitable structures.

Unfortunately this fire had very little to do with the environment and was mostly bad governance. Controlled burns were stopped and when they were brought back it wasn't to a standard that would make a difference.

@@Nxck2440 look it up... in 2022 there was a partial ban on controlled fires and just last year there was reports that while the ban was lifted there aren't enough controlled burns taking place to make enough of an impact.
@@Wolfcamp555 the area the fire occurred has had wildfires for centuries they are what happens in hot areas. The reason the fire goes out of control is because controlled burns aren't occurring as they should be. It would be like living in a snowy area and blaming climate change for the road being covered in snow and ignoring that the government stopped using snowploughs to clear the snow.

Just for the benefit of all.. if you examine Palaeolithic records of co2 vs temp you’ll note that there was a NO CORRELATION.. Additionally, the Hawaii records of co2 AKA The Keeling graph, was unable to detect any variation in co2 following the Covid lockdowns or the large industrial uptake in 2000 from India and from china.. furthermore, Dansgaurd Oeschger oscillations occurring during the quaternary period showed huge anomalies in temp and co2 wherein temp rose by 5-15 deg in as little as a few decades and this occurred several times over the 700k year records via ice core data.. There seems to be a synchronous duality between co2 effect and ocean gyres which has only become omnipresent since the closure of the typhus sea.. Finally l, beryllium 10 isotope data shows a perfect correlation to the mini ice age and it is now understood that the suns heliosphere is pivotal to the solar system’s ability to deflect GCR (deep space particles travelling at 50k km/sec) as these partial ionise the upper atmosphere and seed cloud formation which in turn blocks sun light and increase our reflection or earths albedo.. This finding was further verified via sun spot records which show a weakening sun.. Currently the earths magnetosphere is weakening
