Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This UA-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

entered yesterday man! would love to try them out!
Already done, looking forward to the merch being released
W!
I live right next to this golf course. Waiting for the day I get to play it LOL. Brutal!
Rickie on the range calling out to you is so pure, love the energy😂

When was that?

Just some good ole Rick on Rick action 😂
The vibes in this one with the music and the video production are top notch! Well done!
An empty course, a chilled out Rick, a great mindset, superb result. Great golf!
Seriously, THE BEST swing I’ve seen from you. So fluid, and absolutely dialed. Practice paid off Rick, love to see it.
Was just going to say this....I just watched his round with Lee Westwood from I think 6 months ago, and the difference in fluidity is incredible. Everything seemed so relaxed and paced.
Rick just taking as much as his pockets could fit before the 15th is gold😂
Bit disappointed with Rick, I’d have taken the whole box 😆🤣😂
I feel like karma may have bitten him for the remaining 4 holes though...
You can take the boy out of Manchester but you'll never take Manchester out the boy 🤣🤣
@@andyukh1625 free pencils!!!!! 😂 I wudv prob taken quite a few too 🙈
You can take the boy out of Manchester but you can’t…………..
You can tell how happy Rick is with a shot by how hard he wrips his glove open 😂
Some of the best golf you’ve played in a while Rick, what a course to do it on! Brilliant performance
Aside from hiccups on 8 & 9, this is probably the highest I've seen your confidence while playing... Especially on a new course. Solid strikes, lucky mistakes (like hole 12)... Dunno what you're doing to mentally prepare, but keep it up, Rick. Really motivating round. Thanks for the content!
Rick, this was some of the best golf you've played in a long time! Your swing is looking really good - the more controlled iron swings look so good, especially the mid to long irons. Keep at it, the game is coming and we're all excited for 2023 to be the year of breaking 75 every time!
Thanks 👍
Beat me to it was going to say your iron swings look so much more fluid and not snatchy like before.
Who did u say hello to on the 9th? Was it fowler?
I agree too! I think Rick was a bit hard on himself but with those greens his putting was mostly incredibly good. It could have been a 72 round if a few more had dropped in but a few worse shots and suddenly it's 82!
He hasn't been duck hooking nearly as often
The production value of your videos are insane, I mean the quality is immaculate, as a viewer it feels like I am there with you on the course!
I've been thinking about this: Something about Rick's team's camera work is significantly better than network TV. Each shot has a lot better continuity and a lot better immediacy than on the big broadcasts, somehow.
Hey Rick, just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love the positivity in this video. Please have more videos like this. So great.
Fr, the actual laughter after that runaway putt on 3 was just great.
I really love the editing in this video and when the music reflects what rick is doing at 9:38 when he checks to see if the ball is short of the bunker and the music stops but comes back right on time. I like that attention to detail. Also, Rick, you are playing golf incredibly in this video. I love seeing you working hard and making achievements over the years. I don't even play golf that much anymore but this is why I have been watching so many golf youtubers over the years, and watching them get better over time and achieve their goals, and it's so inspiring, and you were the first golf youtuber I started watching.
That backdrop on 18!!! WOW!! Some people don’t realise how lucky they are to play at a place like that regularly! Great effort there Rick. 🤙🏻
The initiation fee at The Floridian is $150,000. I don't think luck has much to do with it...
@@tmtmtlsml or everything...
@@tmtmtlsml so you have to be lucky to have $150,000 to spend on golf to start off with and then lucky that you live close enough to go and play. But I know what you’re sayin! Money does talk 🤷🏻🤙🏻
@@tmtmtlsml id call it lucky for those who were born into rich families that can afford it eh? not everyone, but I guarantee you there's plenty of Chads out there playing at prestigious courses due to pure luck of the draw. At the same time, plenty of people that have earned it too. But luck plays a part for many, no doubt.
@@ozzie_golf1157 most of their members dont live close. guys fly/helicopter in to play. only a few rounds a day at the floridian. i'll be there in a few weeks.
Well I grew up in Florida so these last few videos have made me home sick. But at the same time, they have encouraged me as well. I was so excited to see this video today and could not open it up fast enough. I did my own version of break 85 today for myself and successfully did it.
And I have your channel to thank for getting me back out there playing and getting healthier. SHIELS ARMY!!!!!! LETS GO!!!!!!
Rick, man you are awesome just to see you repair a ball mark. My grandfather passed last week and I know he would appreciate you.
Just love the break 75 episodes, what a course, your so lucky to play these courses that is mere mortals can only dream of playing, nice one Rick look forward to seeing the nxt episode. 👍
Love how Rick appreciates the little things in the game of Golf that keep us from coming back.
Visuals look stunning Rick and team!! Not just the scenery but the editing is unreal!
Totally agree.
This is delightful for the eyes!
Looks stunning on my 77" LG C2
Love your videos Rick. My Dad is 92 on the 27 January. We would play golf together when we were both younger in Naples, at Foxfire and Country side golf courses. If you are ever that way please can you do a video for us. Thanks Rick.
you can see how your attitude and perspective change has really helped to improve your golf! loving it!
What a gorgeous setting! Unlucky not to get a lower score and so nice to see you playing well and hitting more GIRs.
Very well played, my friend. I’m scratch, and I would have also been very pleased with that score on those fast, sloping greens. You had an outstanding ball striking day. You would have been in the red on easier greens. I sometimes resent the fact that putting is such a huge factor in scoring. I’ve always said that the hole should be a little bigger to give you more reward for hitting the ball good. A larger hole would make golf even more fun than it already is, in my opinion.
Got an invite to play at Floridian once maybe 5 years ago... one of the best golf experiences of my life. Phenomenal course and club, service is outstanding. Thanks for bringing some of those memories back Rick and you sure played a lot better than I did!
Saw some frustration setting in but you got it under control, did some positive self-talk, and came back for a terrific round. Great job! Fun to watch.
After The Medallist , another simply stunning Florida course ! The conditioning looked incredible and those greens are scary quick , only $150k to join apparently , worth every penny , if you have it ! Your game is improving Rick !
Is that per year? 😂
@@l3laal that’s the initiation fee not the members dues. I would say probably 20-25k a year
I believe you do have to be invited though
ONLY!!!🤣🤣
Only haha
Best I've seen you swing it for ages RS. The hard work is paying off.
WOW! What an effort!
I NEED TO BE MORE INSPIRED THIS YER!
At almost 60 and mowing greens at a Country Club in Michigan,I am ready for the season! Let's go! 😋
Always a good day when Rick up loads a break 75
I have never been so invested in a break 75 as this one! Great video Rick Best one yet.
This was one of the more enjoyable break 75’s for me! Some mega golf played there, just caught out on a few tricky putts. Driving is unreal
A lot of comedy in this one Rick. Really enjoyed it.
Dang it Rick…you teased us earlier, but I’m glad you re-uploaded this!
LETS GOOOOO! 🙌🏾
Love the content. Need more of you and Peter!!
The production quality on this is above every other UA-cam golfer
It is crazy to me that Rick is so blown away at the small things with this club. When in America it has become a rather norm for high end golf clubs! We really are lucky here in American golf.
What an episode! And what a course! Editing and music on this was fantastic. Great to see you enjoying the game Rick and playing great.
That left-handed 9-iron shot was crazy good! Well done Rick!
If you find yourself in tree trouble often that shot is something you really need to master. It doesn't have to go over the fairway an almost into a lake though. 20 yards is usually good enough to get you in a much better position that a drop would have.
totally was... but would have been quite easy to do a RH shot if he wasn't such a ***** about snakes etc, lol!
Rick, I have been following you for quite a while now and I have to tell you how much I appreciate you. Your personality is amazing and I am looking forward to watch more of your videos. Keep up the great work! I hope to be able to meet you one day!
Great round, Rick. Beautiful course. I love fairways that are like greens and greens that are even better. I used to belong to a Donald Ross designed golf club in Indianapolis, IN. The course was amazing. Ross was infamous for making tricky greens with either subtle undulations that were hard to read or extreme greens with killer steep levels that were dangerous to put on. They were tough courses. The fairways there were nicer than most greens and intimidating to hit off of because you didn’t want to hurt them. After my first round at that course (as a guest at the time) playing with about 25 others, everyone was talking about the quality but difficulty of the course. One of the guys asked my how I liked hitting off those amazing fairways. My answer was, “Well I only hit off the fairway once…..and that was AFTER a putt”. That course ate my lunch which is why I joined. I learned to play that thing over time and actually eventually won the club championship. It was a bear and I loved it. Since moving away to Texas and losing all of my golfing buddies I just quit playing for almost 20 years. Now I play again but very rarely. I would love to play more but need a few golfing buddies to play with. I suppose I need to join a group,of strangers and build that special group. I’m playing with the same clubs (Calloway) that I bought back in the mid 90’s. I’d like to take advantage of the new and improved technology but that is a lot of money to invest for as little as I play. That said, your recent review of the Callaway Paradigm drivers has my juices flowing. Thanks for all that you do for the game and love seeing you having fun again.
Flipping heck! That's some of the best driving you've done in a long time. Could easily have gone round in par the way you were playing. Brilliant effort and WHAT a course!!! Great video!
As a Floridian that’s never played the Floridian this video make me very very jealous lol…
Be careful guys, Florida man is jealous

I feel this for sure. I live on the treasure coast
@@blakewolfe6331 same brother at least I’m playing Florida club tomorrow can’t be to mad about that
Claude called the greens. It's cool you take us hackers with you onto these difficult courses here and in the UK. THANK-YOU for that and the time you put in to keep us playing better and entertained.
Watching these in cold and rainy Canada gets us through the winter golf itch. Thanks, Rick!
You should do an American tour video series (connected to break 75 or not, your choice). Travel through the states and play golf. I'm in the Midwest and there are some incredible golf courses here. Give you a challenge and new experiences :) Love the content, great job!
Don’t forget the PNW (Seattle).
I absolutely love this course. Got to play a few times and it's absolutely unreal. Can't wait to watch.
Fun to see the Floridian. When I lived in Jupiter I was lucky enough to play most of the courses down there, but the Floridian was one I never got to play. Thanks for bringing us another top notch video Rick!🔥🔥
Adam Sandler "GO TO YOUR HOME BALL" was the exact same thing I screamed at my computer when that shot didn't go in haha. Love this series and the humor of this particular video.
Phew!!!!!!! Friday fix is here!!!! Thank you RS team 👍⛳️
22:40 I love how it cuts from Rick laughing to immediately him being on the green about 20 feet away from the hole like “ok, so it wasn’t that good”
“Keep getting luckier”, story of my life Rick! Love the video👍
Best I've seen you play in a while. I think Claud telling you you'd hit it well helped the confidence.
Love the videos! Game is really improving. Big shout to the camera and production crew. Thanks for keeping them coming.
Imagine if you start a series called breaking 70, you would break 75 all the time.
Brady, Jordan, curry, all said this is the hardest sport. Don’t sweat the little putts Rick. You’re playing incredible.
Playing by yourself puts out better vibes. I know that its entertaining to play with others. But, you play your best by yourself. Reminds me of season one of break 75. Love the vibes with this format. What a beautiful course, too!
What a stunning course. You played really well especially not knowing the course. Loving the American videos so far. Looking forward to the rest
I love how he changed the over/under just so he didn’t have to say he wouldn’t break 75 😂
CH with the correct side, too! UNDER for Rick!
Welcome to America, where you ask somebody if you can break 75, and they tell you the parameter is 78.
*gunmerica
Cause Rick isn’t good enough to break 75 at 99.9% of golf courses
Those lip outs on the final two holes were stakes in my gut. Good stuff Rick. Hope you enjoyed hanging out on this side of the pond.
Great video! The production quality of your videos increases by 10 fold when you’re playing in the sunny weather of Florida. You played very well and seem so relaxed and happy in this video. I really enjoyed it.
Great round, Rick! You’ve been improving so much and so has your outlook and mode on the game. Absolutely beautiful course and I always love how much you take a moment to appreciate it. Great video. Keep them coming…😀
Lovely to see your golf trending in the right direction Rick lad
Glad you enjoyed playing in my hometown!
I've figured it out Rick. You play your best golf on really beautiful golf courses! Stunning!
Played super well, just damn unlucky on a couple of holes. What a beautiful course! (and thanks for the heads-up re flight club in Manchester. Recently visited from Switzerland and had a great time!)
Thanks Rick! I really enjoy getting to see all of the beautiful golf courses. How blessed you are to get to play them.
that left handed recovery was next level ricks back on the grind
Great round Rick. Some of the best golf I've watched you play and as always, love your mentality out there.
Well done Rick. I shot a 74 the first time I played Doral and my lip outs were also brutal. Florida golf is fantastic though and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Cheers.
Does anyone else give little fist pumps when Rick hits a great shot! Loved this break 75, what an amazing course, and your swing looks syrupy!!! Keep it up, mate!!
This video and that with Ricky Fowler have been the best for a long time, Rick - not the tee boxes, or the greens, or the chat, just the great driving, fantastic approach shots, getting out of trouble and speedy putting too! Well done!
Another kick ass Break 75 video. Happy to have you across the pond. Hope you make it over to the West Coast for some golf!
Absolutely stunning place to play golf!!!! Great round...very well played!!!!
Great video the edit was awesome with the background music going along perfectly with the vibe of the entire round ....well done
Ricks appreciation for the scenery is underrated, you are awesome Rick
Love the North America break 75 videos. The courses are absolutely stunning, and much more relatable for us across the pond whom don't have many chances to play links golf.
Rick, you are the absolute greatest to watch.
Rick getting down and rubbing the Teebox was hilarious.
Cracking round on a fantastic looking course. Well played 👏👏👏👏
Hey Rick, as a southpaw, I could have helped you hit that shot next to the tree.
Love your channel. Please keep up the great content. You are the man.
Seeing Rick play in Florida is a like a behind the scenes of little Rick on Christmas morning as a kid...
Loved watching this after listening to the pod with Claude. Thinking about what he said regarding lowering your score by eliminating a 3 putt per round or a double bogey per round and then seeing a few of those things in Rick’s game and knowing he is one or two little things from this becoming a break 72 or break 70 series is really cool. Great video and a great pod!
This is one of the most beautifully shot videos I've ever seen on a golf course, WOW. Every shot was pristine, felt like i was there. Amazing video guys! And some really great golf from Rick.
I was not expecting that ‘is this real life’ part. That bit killed me!
Love the content.
Has anyone noticed Ricks american twang when saying 'damn' :D really made me chuckle in all the videos from america! Super golf course, one could only dream of playing there!
Absolutely gorgeous video! I don't care what you shot... You're great attitude is what I have been missing! You sir are a BALLER 😍😍😍
Truly one of the best videos this channel has ever seen... Marvelous 👏👏👏
Hi Rick, Having watched your round to is how I see it. It's December, you're in Florida, you shot a great round and you've got a smile on your face. Job done. Well played. Regards Phil
There was actually a rocket launch in the background while Rick was playing the 17th hole. The vapor trail is visible at 32:05, and then the Falcon 9 booster can be seen during its re-entry burn at 32:14. With the time of day, I’m assuming this was the OneWeb 15 mission launching on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with the booster landing back at Cape Canaveral, pretty cool stuff. And the golf was good too.
Looks like you're enjoying the warm weather. Very smooth fluid action - swinging really well. You make those 2-3 footers look easy!!
Mate I literally physically recoiled at the last two lip outs. So heartbreaking after you struck the ball so well the whole round (more or less). Best driver I've seen you hit recently. Great video and what a course..
Great episode. All I know is, everyone watching, rooting for you to break 75. Thanks for the video.
So many great golf shots by Rick in this round! Then when he showed the course slope and rating, I mean, you have to really appreciate how well his round was. Amazing beautiful course too.
Haven’t seen you this consistent with your driver ever. Well done!
Stunning! Beautiful golf played and lovely breathtaking course. You are blessed. Thankyou for sharing. Love the vids
Mateeee. In rare form in this one Rick. You were so clearly buzzing the whole round. A joy to watch
What a stunning course. Great to see you playing with confidence again. My goal is to get my swing as yours was around this course
Looks incredible there, what a place to play golf.
Great golf considering first time round there 🥳
That’s one of the best ones yet , great effort
What a truly stunning life your living mr shiels
Them last few holes In That sunset was absolutely majestic
And so glad to see your golf is back to where it should be!! Enjoy fella 👏🏻
