I agree 100%. I have never seen the media like this in Australia before. Totally partisan and openly biased. I have never seen such one sided coverage of important issues.
In order to be fair, even as children we were taught to get both sides of the story. Even if you don't agree with someone, they should be given the right to mount their argument and explain their point of view. This regularly doesn't happen now. Also the personal attacks are disgraceful, and indeed childish.
In my point of view, the Australian media are totally unprofessional and unwatchable.
That's why it used to be such a honorable profession to be a journalist.
We no longer trust our governments or our media.

Not right wing. Just right so far.
I should also add that people are now offered an ample number of sources of information that include better quality reports, independent of the politicians and, above all, informative in the real sense. We are waking up to a new world where controlling newspaper or a chain of TV stations will not buy you a controlling mass opinion system as in past. That is what happening, then as an extension, advertising loses interest in the media as they do not reach the audience in significant numbers anymore.
My real concern is that the fragmentation of media claiming journalistic status is just becoming echo chambers pandering to specific ideologies rather than honest critical fact based investigation.
And that will not be good for anyone in the long term
I dont feel any compassion towards a lot of the msm that are experiencing financial hardships there has been so little real investigative journalism because the media have been focused on advertising dollars rather than informing the public that they claim to serve.
And unfortunately the truth has been sacrificed for profits.
Hopefully small independent and truthfull players with honest motives can fill the void.
And bring back some integrity to the profession nievity? I hope not for all our sakes.
