A very small detail that's always bothered me is that in Lost Future when Layton and Luke first go to future London, Luke says "I was born and bred in London". But we know from Specter's Call that he grew up in Misthallery?
that statement is stil correct, he only lived in Misthallery for a couple of years before moving back to London again
@@koolooc726 is that true?
@@anyoneatall3488 just Sems logic to me. I have read this on the wiki too
@@anyoneatall3488 It´s actually said in the game, but only in the bonus section (by the secret door I think) of spectres call. Luke says there something like that he was born in London, but raised in Misthallery. The developers were probably aware of this inconsistency and tried to put more sense into it by adding this line

Well if Star Wars slapped Vader’s image on bags of oranges it’s not too surprising to see Layton Bread.
The sock lore update is keeping me on my toes!
Oh you!
I also know a good fact about the franchise: In the Shop Mini-game from The Miracle Mask, there is an instrument section that contain a reference to Zelda Ocarina of Time. All 3 ocarinas in this section have different names: Witch's song, Fairy's Breath and Goblin's Bellow. What is great is that their descriptions are referencing each part of the Triforce: Power, Wisdom and Courage.
And one of them is blue, just like the Ocarina of Time
7:28 legitimately made me do a double-take, I thought it was some DeviantArt stuff going on for a second
As a long time die-hard fan of the series, I appreciate these fact videos that actually include lots of insightful details backed up by research. Unlike other fact videos that start with obvious comments to pad out the runtime, it is clear you do intense levels of research to find these intriguing little secrets. Subbed!
Additionally, I remember in the tutorial section of the Curious Village for European release it shows the first 5 puzzles in the Puzzle Index, however Puzzle 5 is shown to be called "Digital Digits" rather than "Clock Hands." Presumably the puzzle listings are slightly different between localized versions, but Level 5 forgot to change the tutorial images.
I can't remember if this was in your other fact video, but 12 years after it's release I found out not long ago that there's a Folsense ticket in the Nintendo DS box for the game!! I actually had to go searching in mine when I heard this, and it's true! I was like what the hell, that would have made the ticket puzzle go much faster! 😂
I'm so sad so little Layton content exists in the west, I think I was 10 or 11 when I found the novels exist but wouldn't be able to read them and I still am😭 I had no idea so much physical merch existed, I'm lucky to have two mini figures of Luke and Clive I got at London MCM some years ago, but I'd love one of Emmy or Flora😅
You can read the novels online they've been translated :)
@@prohow4010 omg how do i find them? 😊
I think you can find them on reddit!

Here's two of them :)
The third one will be made available in about a month or so 👍
@@samhoward9085 oh wow thank you!
I LOVE THE SONG YOU USED IN THE OPENING! It’s one of my favorite songs in the entire Layton franchise! I actually stopped what I was doing to listen to the song for like 20 minutes
its is indeed a very good song, tho i would prefer descole's theme
THIS is what we call Layton Facts you might not know. I knew a lot, but many of them i didn't know! For example, the bread. I would definitely have bought it if I was living in Japan!
I don't want to know who found out how to get old Layton as a sprite xD
Catch me tryna do that though now 🤣
This Channel is just the primary definition of the words "perfect timing" I just recently go back into playing and watching the Layton games and watched the Movie with my Mom and we absolutely love it, and now I'm doing an Abridged Series of it because my Mom encouraged me and I had a really fun time doing them and this is just the Frosting & Cherry ontop of an already delicious cake 🍰, thank you for helping bring Professor Layton back into the public eye.

Well it's like Mr. Beluga showing up in the Crown Petone and Riddleton in the background, just a little reference, not intended to make much sense. It could be argued that Shrader was deceiving Layton about when exactly he had obtained the box, due to its alluring nature.
Incidentally, it's a pity they only made one film, I would've loved another one more, even if they had to sacrifice one game.
Return of the King 💪
Also, I love hearing the Misthallery music again!
1:10 Every guy felt that
DearestHershel and the astounding amount of archaic actions!
In all honesty though, this was great; even more cool facts which expanded my knowledge and took me by surprise. I really liked your editing for this one and can't wait to see what you do next. Keep up the good work, and have a nice day.
Very nice playlists on your channel.
@@Jay-iu4st Thank you so much! You are the first person to compliment them, and I really appreciate it.For the last 2 and a bit years it has been y goal to listen to new music every day, and from that it just expanded.
I've been doing it a little less, due to the fact that it's a bit of a chore to do things when you have 1k playlists. Due to your kind words, I may just keep at it a bit more. Hope you have a nice day.
I only recently found out that Henry and Angela in Miracle Mask are voiced by the brilliant Matthew Mercer and Laura Bailey. Two very famous voice actors who are cast members in the popular web series Critical Role. Liam O'Brien, the voice of Dimitri Allen and Clark Triton, is also a cast member of Critical Role. I've seen a fair few anime with Matt and Laura in them yet I only know Liam from his roles in Professor Layton (and Critical Role) 😂 It's nice to see more of my favourite voice actors in my favourite game series!
Yes fancy stuff *drools*
Plot twist- the haniwa figure (if I'm spelling it right) is the secret villain of the next game
Video idea, look at Pandora's box tea set minigame, try to somehow correspond the ingredients to real life ones (through descriptions or images) and make the teas in the game out of those ingredients. That would be really cool video I think.
I've always wanted to do this! If I had a bigger kitchen, I'd love to try them all for a vid - it's just that one of the ingredients is seahorse!
Looking forward to it!
Once again your eye for detail astounds us! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. :•)
great video i want more layton facts
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm such a huge Layton fan ^^
I’m kinda late but the bread thing is actually quite popular!
I’m general it’s a popular snack among teens and kids. Having a character’s face on it is quite big, animes like Love Live Sunshine had two collabs and they sold out quite quick 👀
Oh wow! Never really thought about that. Is it, like, baked onto each slice or just on the packaging?
@@DearestHershel just the packaging. If it’s too popular, they usually make new flavours based on the series (in Love Live Sunshing they did Honey-Mandarine filled breads).
I’ll try to find more about the Layton brand, but since they did tea chiffon cake chocolate bars and chocolate gateaux chocolate bars, the bread could be chocolate scented 😭
@@serahmatsu6906 I've always wanted to try the teas from the 2nd game, but would love to try some chocolate Layton bread!
@@DearestHershel I've been investigating and the breads where the usual (melon pand flavored and chocolate flavored) but they also didi a milk bread softer than others :)
1:11 Now THAT'S a clever joke! Also Cool facts @DearestHershel !
I LOVE THESE VIDS M8! BEEN HYPED FIR THIS
Good stuff right here
I genuinely thought that the Layton Collection was named after the Professor until now...
amazing work as always
More DH content! Yay!
Huh. The only one I knew about even remotely was the box in Schrader's office during Eternal Diva. Thought he was able to resist opening it for a year or three.
this was great as always!
can’t wait’
Love to see a part 3!!
You forgot to mention that Layton, Luke and Emmy show up In Inazuma Eleven Go 2 chrono Stone and Inazuma Eleven Go Galaxy, as recruitable, payable characters.
I mentioned that in the first one!
*B R E A D*
More werris wheel facts lol
Thanks for the heart mate!
Yayy thanks!
So many great facts!!!
Do you have an explanation for Brenda's arm in the one CG from Last specter where Emmy is helping her out of the cellar? It's bugged me since I first played it so I wanna know if you have an explanation for it!
Just looked at this now and don't really know what you mean? She seems pretty normal to me.
Anyone heard about the rumour that Layton 8 is in development. I hope it’s true and I hope it comes outside of Japan
Never heard this before. Do you have a source?
I only saw news about a plus version of Layton's Mystery Journey
I wonder if its finaly going to be lukes letter from lost future
@@redmondthealien7840 omg I hope so
Please I do not want the source to be:"Bro trust me"
Don't give me this hope
Are you also excited for ‘Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam’?
No. It's another cash grap and it doesn't even have 2d cutscenes. Fucking bullshit.
Yes. Number 19 never made sense to me.
Does that McDonald's game have an article on the Lost Media Wiki?
12:12 from which game it's this cutscene? I can't remember
It´s from spectres call. Its one of those mini episodes you can find in the Professors suitcase (I think its called Emmys Memory)
How can you show me the light of Layton Watches just for them to be nigh on impossible to find?
Believe me, I've been wanting to get a hold of one for years! They were prizes in Japanese arcade machines, but incredibly rare nowadays!
@@DearestHershel you know somethings rare when there isn't even one horrifically overpriced one on ebay xD
not to mention Mick at 10:03
Yey
What about all of the women layton has slept with?
Wasn’t there that one time japan has a plane for him?
