SCP 526 has two parts. SCP-526 -1 is a hill in Norway that is easily identified by a ring of nine (9) stones approximately 2 meters in height, with numerous runes inscribed on their inward surface and placed in a 10 meter radius centered on the top of the hill.
Every day at sunrise a group of individuals will appear on SCP-526-1, designated SCP-526-2, fully armed and combat-ready. These individuals usually appear to be temporally displaced, but all individuals within a single instance of SCP-526-2 will be from the same time period and appear to in fact be from the same military unit.
SCP526 came to the Foundation's attention after three individuals were hospitalized after being attacked by "a bunch of Vikings with axes".

@Cem Gürel If anything I'm surprised I have never seen an MTF depicted with full size battle rifles. Knowing the kind of monsters they normally face I'd expect them to bring something 7.62 to be on the safe side.

@@oznelnavnaekal6679 to be fair, there _were_ cultures, even specifically northern european cultures, that wore horned helmets that they could've been dressed as; it never said they were specifically dressed as vikings (unless I missed it) :P
(this is mostly an excuse to shout out the Viksø helmets; a couple of incredibly cool-looking helmets with very impressive horns that were discovered near Viksø, Denmark and have been dated to about 2,000 years before the vikings)

It sounds like the circle summons units of soliders like rolling dice. It's highly likely that all of the units that show up have all share the common denominator that they all died in battle. I don't think the people the circle summons are people that can be spoken to, it sounds like they're just carbon copies of people who are still in the mentality of where they died.
Or maybe the Allfather from his throne in Asgard calls upon a selection of warriors or soldiers who once died in a glorious battle to guard the gateway to Valhalla and they sometimes if they Allfather is in a bad mood, he would order them to kill the ones that come closest to the portal.
Maybe the Allfather commands a selective few daily to guard the portal as a way of training for the day that Ragnarok comes.
Sorry😅 I’m someone who is obsessed with Norse/Germanic mythology. Oh and maybe those knights killed those teenagers in their Viking costume, because he was disgusting at the fact that they wore helmets with horns, which real Vikings did NOT posses.

I also empathize with the guy who was worried he might of killed his ancestors and disappeare. Luckily those cave man were already dead but brought back to life to defend some weird Nordic gate.
I think those emerged soldiers are like "copy" of their designated counterparts, they are not really time traveling through it. Because if that's the case, those KIA MTF soldiers should recognize their surviving fellow soldiers and not engaging combat with them

Yeah, and one mistake, the Knights on horseback were the only ones who spoke and have manners, while the rest were mute and rude. They should have able to conduct an anomaly interview.
No, it's them. The story about the knights was made up by Dr. Bob. The manifestations are dead warriors. There to train for Ragnarok. Or allow others to come to Valhalla by giving an opportunity to die in battle and further bolster the ranks. Whether friend or foe don't matter. Gate to valhalla it may be, but the only way to get through it is to be dead.
Even without the supernatural extras, if someone asks you to come to a party out in the middle of nowhere where there's no cellphone service and no way to drive home that should be a clue something funny is going on.

Fun detail: One of the more commonly seen runes in this video is othala, and if you’re curious about what it looks like, feel free to look up “othala rune elder futhark”
The othala rune represents home and nobility, and reversed (upside down) it represents loss of home and materialism.
Yeah, I know the Othala rune that represents the letter “O”. I can write entire texts in English using the Elder Futhark alphabet. The Othala/Odal also represent the heritage.
It’s a shame though that that rune has gotten a bad influence because white supremacist groups, including the Nazis, misused it. 😔
The Othala rune is my most favorite rune to look at, with the next one being the Algiz rune, which represents the “Z”.

@@Mo_Mauve LOL its just a story used as a way to move into the rest of the story, this is used in tv shows, movies, and stuff. But I also felt like this intro story was too long and kinda dragged on. He probably did this so that the video could be over 15 mins long since the intro was longer than the actual SCP explanation.

Technically to enter Valhalla you have to die in combat with weapon in hand. assuming this is related to Norse mythology there should be a second instance called Folksvanger . You can send a class d in if they die in combat or other things. Technically I think loki once sent one of his children in as a spy.
What if I use a pencil to kill a fly....would that pencil be considered a weapon...and thwm be able to hold it when I die to get into Valhalla?

What matters is intention. If you are having a friendly duel with someone and they stab you in the face accidentally, causing you to die, then you ain't going to Valhalla because you did not die fighting for your life.

Yup. To enter Valhalla or Folksfangr (the “Valhalla” of the Norse/Germanic goddess Freya) you have to die in a glorious battle with actual weapons and not some pencil where you write with.
If you die of old age, disease, a criminal or an oath breaker, you are guaranteed to never enter Odin’s/Wodan’s or Freya’s great hall in Asgard and you will 100% end up in the bitter cold realm of Helheim, where the only type of food or drink being 🤢

How did those 4 stumble into the gate's vicinity if the gate is sanctioned by the SCP? The Foundation had been well aware of it for some time before the 2021 party. May have missed something. I'm also surprised the SCP Foundation hadn't pulled strings to get that particular billionaire's home condemned.

The incident probably occurred before the perimeter was setup by the foundation. Must’ve caught em just in time to give the survivor amnestics. Also could be a literal plot hole 🕳
For the sake of storytelling, yes, the Foundation containment/monitoring team were made incompetent. Would’ve made more sense if the intro took place decades before modern day, when the containment team could still have been considered “complacent”.

I have to wonder about that last one involving the summons of that lost MTF: was this SCP doing that out of spite or just because it a naturally random affair?
It seems to randomly pick people who presumably died in battle.
The real danger with the last one is the implication. Think how many anomalous military forces are in the canon, now picture them coming through the gate. Even if the gate exclusively summons human combatants, that still leaves Chaos Insurgency, Mekanists, Sarkists, G.O.C soldiers, etc. This anomaly could be far more dangerous than the foundation gives it credit for.

It summons just enough venerated dead residents of Valhalla to fight and allow anyone who wants to die in glorious battle to do so. It was just random chance that it summoned an MTF team. And they weren't lost, all the MTF members were recorded as killed in action trying to contain an unknown SCP.

I like to think the MTF that came through the anomaly was from the SCP-5000 universe and they'd already desensitized themselves, that's why they didn't respond and just opened fire. Also, as always, great video! Keep up the great work!

It's a lot, but basically the foundation discovers that when you die your consciousness remains and feels everything that happens to it from it decomposing to turning to dust and it only gets worse as time goes on. There is an entity that feeds on this pain and it lives in the collective mind of humanity, so to save all past and future humans from the trauma of undeath they reversed their core beliefs. They set out to destroy every last human to kill the entity, using scps and by somehow numbing their empathy and general feeling. 3000 centers around a foundation employee who got into a suit that makes you unprocessable to anything potentially perceiving you and the story of him surviving in this CK class event version of earth.

This episode sounds like a perfect to time to put in a Raid Shadow legends sponsorship.
While I wouldn’t say they were in the right, I’d call the knights actions towards the partygoers justified for the following reasons:
1. The knights gave several warnings before attacking which were all ignored.
2. The knights only attacked in response to hostile action from one of the partygoers (the bearded man drawing his weapon)
And 3. The partygoers were dressed up as the Norse who, depending on the period of medieval history those knights were from, were in sustained, active, and armed conflict with much of Coastal Western Europe.
I remember reading about this one. Good to see this SCP getting some love:)

The fact that you took the time to draw out actual runes of the Elder Futhark on a rune wheel used in a grand total of two scenes instead of just scribbling down nonsense makes me extremely happy as a pagan. Dr. Bob never ceases to impress.

Imagine one day you're a knight fighting against your enemies, but then you find yourself on a hill, with nobody in sight, all of a sudden you see people who appear to be knights, only their armor looks strange, they have glass covering their faces and they have long metal sticks which you can only assume to be a spear, what's strange is that there is no spike on the spears, all of a sudden you notice theme talking to a metal box, you see it and realize that this is some kind of dark magic, how can they be communicating to someone else using a metal box? So you attack and they point their spears at you, you being the best knight in your kingdom think to yourself that this will be quite an easy challenge since you have a longsword and a bow as well. Then they press down on something on their spears which appear to be a lever of some kind and suddenly holes appear throughout your body and in the dirt behind you, you don't have time to examine what are in the holes in the ground as you are already breathing your last breaths and there is nothing left you can do. You lie down in the hills as you watch more and more fellow knights suddenly appear on the hills and get slaughtered as your blood spills and soaks into the grass.
Hold up, hold up, did Dr. Bob just wore SCP-5000 at the end? Sheesh

Missed opportunity by the foundation though, not doing the Monty Python routine on the knights.
Two bits of critique:
1) when saying “radius”, the visual aid showed “diameter”.
2) the intro should’ve taken place decades ago, not in 2021, otherwise the partygoers would’ve seen the walls & armed guards long before seeing the horsemen. Plus, any lapse in containment could’ve been chalked up as the monitoring team being complacent again, allowing the viewers to maintain suspension of disbelief.
Aside from those minor nitpicks, however, great job! Always love these videos, and the stories they accompany them!
