For the "Go Lightly" prep, it's not good no matter what you put in it. Best advice from someone who has it done every 2 years, drink it ice cold with a straw. Don't chug it, you'll throw up. Also, get A&D ointment and spackle your pooper, have baby wipes on hand too. Keep the ointment on your bottom when you take your 1st drink, you'll thank me for that lol Set up a little station next to the toilet with everything you need for a night of powerful movements.. Your gonna see things come from your body that'll make you question "when did I eat that??" 😅

Yes I agree , I just had it done and make sure to drink it cold . Drinking that stuff is the worst but the Colonoscopy goes fast . They knock you out and you don't feel a thing , Afterwards make sure someone drives you home , You can not drive yourself. They found a 5mm polyp and said if I did not have the colonoscopy , it would have turned to cancer
Definitely add the lemon flavor and make sure to refrigerate it. Just drink it and make sure you stay close to the bathroom and definitely get baby wipes and throw them in a bag. The worst part of the procedure is drinking the prep but you can do it. Praying for you that everything goes well and whatever the issue is turns out to be something minor and not serious.

Congratulations on the garden and the chickens. Ok. You need to get a few t posts and put them in on the junction of each pole on the chicken pen. We live in Tx as well and have a coyote issue too. They actually tore the fence to get to my rabbit. At night always lock the chickens in. But that lil coop you have will not keep the coyotes out for long. You need to build something more substantial. Sorry. We actually had an old camper we used for a chicken coop. I really hope all works out with them. Also something that works amazingly well for a top for shade and strength is a trampoline mat. My daughter uses an old mat for her French bulldog outside enclosure. You know how the wind is here. That works great. You probably should put in some stakes such as long rant stakes to keep the chicken pen down so that the wind and /or coyotes doesn’t knock it over or go under it. Don’t forget we also have a lot of big birds such as kites and hawks that will swoop in and get the chickens. It would really help if you could put another fence up around the chickens about a foot out from the first one. Ok. Definitely mix the lemon in the drink. It is not bad at first but by the time you are through it will be hard to keep from throwing it back up. Make sure you drink all of it. It’s major important. I have had many of those done. My adopted daughter is a surgical nurse and told us a nightmare story about someone that thought they didn’t have to drink all of the solution. To say the least the doctors and everyone had a HUGE mess to deal with during the procedure. Lol. I would love to be able to have chickens. Adam get two foot pieces if rear and make j hooks out of the and stake down your chicken coop now too and if needed to u can stake the tops of your chicken coop too to the ground too also....

All the things they found wrong with me nearly floored me. I pray that you are found healthy and have no diet restrictions and don’t have to take all the medications. Praying for you girl.

I have a colonoscopy every other year I have Crohn’s and I can’t drink that at all it makes me vomit. I do miralax and ducolax prep. Good luck and I hope everything is ok . The prep is the worst part
I couldn't drink all of that when I was going in for my colonoscopy. I told them how much I drank and they said that would be fine. I drink a little over two-thirds of the bottle. Getting a colonoscopy for me with no big deal. They give you something to relax you end up falling asleep and you don't remember anything that happened.😊
The last one I had done, they just used murilax and dulcolax, and it was more tolerable. I would talk to doctor and in quite. I have one every 1 or 2 years. This process was much more tolerable. Prayers.
I found one of those coops in the garbage about a month ago. I couldn't pull it out, because it had stuff piled on top of it. It sells for $400. Man, that was frustrating.
Me n my daughter just planted a bunch of stuff over the weekend and yep, it poured and poured. The baby chick's are cute. We can't have those..one of our cats would kill them. He kills everything. I hear coyotes that pass through all the time too! Don't forget, when you boil veggies in water, save the water for your plants. Thanks for sharing

Dang that same storm moved through our town in SC today. I had to shelter some baby birds rhe mama laid in our mailbox pole. Crazy mama bird. But good oul tinfoil made a great tent over the pole to keep them dry and mama can get to them
Make sure you start it before they told you. We always start ours in the early afternoon . If you don't you will be up all night running to the bathroom. The prep is worse than the test. You will need someone to drive you home too. Will be praying everything is fine.

We raised Chickens for over 30 years, 65,000 at a time. I want to warn you that skunks can dug tunnels under your wire and right up to the inside. They like to eat the chickens head, and one skunk will kill them all especially if they are babies. You really need something heavy around the bottom of the pin As for coyotes maybe an electric fence. That is just suggestions that we have experienced. I love your garden, keep it up. I am older now, and broke my ankle in three places,no garden for us,and harder to do things. I really enjoy seeing your family enjoying farm life. You garden makes me so jealous lol. Farm life is the best.❤❤❤

Have had the colonoscopy a few times. Drink very cold and for me I had to drink fast as I have a sensitive gag reflex. And stay close to the washroom. Will be praying for you
Go lightly is anything but. The lemon flavor will help ever so slightly. But ice cold is best it will go down a bit easier. But you're going to go a lot. Stay very close to the bathroom. Your bottom could get a bit raw so keep some ointment close by in case you feel you need it.
Drink it through a straw... had this done earlier this year, and it's the only way to tolerate it. It's not nice but needs must. Can't comment on the lemon as I didn't have that option. I'd say use it though. It can't be any worse.
You've got this. My first one I did not prep well (medicine was too cold and made me physically sick and very cold inside). I had to go again in 2 years and had to prep for 2 full days. Only clear liquid plus drinking a full prep each day. It was awful but at least I was clear and next time not for TEN years.

OMG , I’m having the same thing on July 17 , but I didn’t know you have to drink that big bottle . I raised Rhode Island Reds for the eggs, you cannot beat them, they give you an egg a day. I accidentally got mine for free because we were using a supply store near our house.. I thought we got a chicken for the three times we had gone..😂 .. imagine my surprise when we came home and there was 60 baby chicks, all Rhode Island red hens. I had a problem with raccoons. Lesson learned, we put leftover chain link fencing on the ground under the coop. ❤
My doc gave option of 2 orange gatrades drink with 2 small Metamucil. One in each bottle and drink all. Medicaid should pick up the cost, if you do not have insurance. After your procedure, never have another. There are several procedures that will do the same thing.
My late husband used to say when the foxes, coyotes,and wofe. Are yapping they are hunting as a pack keeping track of where they are in on the hunt. When it goes quiet they have gotten there pray.

Unfortunately I deal with thyroid nodules too and have them biopsyed every 3 years. The needle biopsy doesn't hurt one bit which is surprising. You'll feel the pinch of the needle and that's it. My daughter about passed out watching the 1st time I had it done lol I was so surprised because it honestly didn't hurt. Just remember when you're dr says "don't move " he absolutely means it!

If the black canopy you put over you coop doesn't last, I suggest that you get a Coolaroo awning or you can get it in a roll to make one yourself. Coolaroo is a great brand and it lets in light, though it provides great shade at the same time, also keeps a lot of the rain out. It's very strong and holds up well in any kind of weather if you put it on correctly and tight enough without over stretching. We put it on the top of our duck coop and put the very small mesh wire around the bottom after the duck stuck it's head out of the coop at the hawk and the hawk hurt it's neck. Thank goodness the hawk didn't hurt the duck much. The mesh will also help keep the snakes out. If you make the canopy yourself, just some some grommets in it and zip tie it the posts at the top, overhang it a little if you have enough. I also suggest you cover the entire coop top to keep hawks or other critters out, so don't leave any gaps on the sides. Best of luck with your tests!
Definitely use the lemon flavour in the drink, you will find it much better, and it's way, way easier to drink cooled. a helpful hint is to use a mug for drinking out of. also, plug your nose and drink it all in one full drink with your nose plugged while you're doing it. but do not stop drinking till you hit the bottom. I have to drink this stuff every 3 months and that is how I make it through the whole jug. good luck!
taste and smell are both connected so when you plug your nose fully you literally can not taste what you swallow. you can also use a straw to get the same result if you push the straw down your throat far enough to get past your last row of taste buds. know though when you unplug your nose you do taste the stuff but it's an afterthought.. my MOTO when I drink the stuff is hard and fast! its rough but it's over and done in no time. it does help if you do 1 1/4 of the drink at a time every hour. The whole thing is rough I will not lie, but if you use a strong clear juice you really like instead of the lemon flavour provided, it may work better for you if you're bad at drinking meds.
Christy's Butterfly I totally agree with that. also, get some panty liner overnight pads as you may have seepage for 1-2 days after you get the scope done
I've only had one colonoscopy and the bowel prep I had was orange flavored and quite nice, but I'm in the UK so things done differently. We also have it done free (ish) on the NHS. Every tax payer makes monthly payments via National Health Insurance , which is a low percentage of your salary, so when tests or procedures are needed we don't have to pay anything. You can opt to go private where you pay out of pocket or pay into a monthly health plan for treatments etc., this is the quickest way to have procedures done. The US health system is all about money making!
Oh my gosh I happy that I live in Denmark 🇩🇰 We have free healthcare but we also pay more taxes And we have free education university I pay my taxes with joy 🤩
I too have had the procedure done... I will be keeping you in prayer for a successful procedure... The flavor for the mix just adds some flavor to a drink with the consistency of an aloe drink or coconut water... The flavor isn't too bad with or without the flavor... Most people I've talked to have a harder time drinking that much fluid... I myself drink a gallon of water a day... That's not counting other liquids... You can do it... It's not as unpleasant as people make it out to be... You can do...
I think it's better with the flavor packet but it's still nasty ! Make sure it's cold and you are in my prayers . I have to have a colonoscopy every 2 years because my family is very susceptible. I have had 2 sisters and my son have colon cancer.

My mom had the same procedure done and she said that the liquid tasted fine for her with the flavoring in it but drinking it without the flavoring was nasty and the worst part about it was it made her keep running for the bathroom. I am in Canada and I have had the procedure done very recently. This procedure itself was a piece of cake, so no worries there. The drink was different than mine. I had not flavor packet. Dang that same storm moved through our town in SC today. I had to shelter some baby birds rhe mama laid in our mailbox pole. Crazy mama bird. But good oul tinfoil made a great tent over the pole to keep them dry and mama can get to them
Make sure you start it before they told you. We always start ours in the early afternoon . If you don't you will be up all night running to the bathroom. The prep is worse than the test. You will need someone to drive you home too. Will be praying everything is fine.

We raised Chickens for over 30 years, 65,000 at a time. I want to warn you that skunks can dug tunnels under your wire and right up to the inside. They like to eat the chickens head, and one skunk will kill them all especially if they are babies.

Have had the colonoscopy a few times. Drink very cold and for me I had to drink fast as I have a sensitive gag reflex. And stay close to the washroom. Will be praying for you

Go lightly is anything but. The lemon flavor will help ever so slightly. But ice cold is best it will go down a bit easier. But you're going to go a lot. Stay very close to the bathroom. Your bottom could get a bit raw so keep some ointment close by in case you feel you need it.
Drink it through a straw... had this done earlier this year, and it's the only way to tolerate it. It's not nice but needs must. Can't comment on the lemon as I didn't have that option. I'd say use it though. It can't be any worse.
You've got this. My first one I did not prep well (medicine was too cold and made me physically sick and very cold inside). I had to go again in 2 years and had to prep for 2 full days. Only clear liquid plus drinking a full prep each day. It was awful but at least I was clear and next time not for TEN years.
Make sure to do something about varmits that dig under the fence.
When my boxer would eat them. It sounded like he was eating ruffles. He loved them.

OMG , I’m having the same thing on July 17 , but I didn’t know you have to drink that big bottle . I raised Rhode Island Reds for the eggs, you cannot beat them, they give you an egg a day. I accidentally got mine for free because we were using a supply store near our house.. I thought we got a chicken for the three times we had gone..😂 .. imagine my surprise when we came home and there was 60 baby chicks, all Rhode Island red hens. I had a problem with raccoons. Lesson learned, we put leftover chain link fencing on the ground under the coop. ❤
Put an electric fence wire up about where they might try to get in and let it bite down on that!

My doc gave option of 2 orange gatrades drink with 2 small Metamucil. One in each bottle and drink all. Medicaid should pick up the cost, if you do not have insurance. After your procedure, never have another. There are several procedures that will do the same thing.

Unfortunately I deal with thyroid nodules too and have them biopsyed every 3 years. The needle biopsy doesn't hurt one bit which is surprising. You'll feel the pinch of the needle and that's it. My daughter about passed out watching the 1st time I had it done lol I was so surprised because it honestly didn't hurt. Just remember when you're dr says "don't move " he absolutely means it!

If the black canopy you put over you coop doesn't last, I suggest that you get a Coolaroo awning or you can get it in a roll to make one yourself. Coolaroo is a great brand and it lets in light, though it provides great shade at the same time, also keeps a lot of the rain out. It's very strong and holds up well in any kind of weather if you put it on correctly and tight enough without over stretching. We put it on the top of our duck coop and put the very small mesh wire around the bottom after the duck stuck it's head out of the coop at the hawk and the hawk hurt it's neck. Thank goodness the hawk didn't hurt the duck much. The mesh will also help keep the snakes out.
If you make the canopy yourself, just some some grommets in it and zip tie it the posts at the top, overhang it a little if you have enough. I also suggest you cover the entire coop top to keep hawks or other critters out, so don't leave any gaps on the sides.

Drink with a lemon/lime soda like Sprite. Helps the taste.
Definitely use the lemon flavour in the drink, you will find it much better, and it's way, way easier to drink cooled. a helpful hint is to use a mug for drinking out of. also, plug your nose and drink it all in one full drink with your nose plugged while you're doing it. but do not stop drinking till you hit the bottom. I have to drink this stuff every 3 months and that is how I make it through the whole jug. good luck!

taste and smell are both connected so when you plug your nose fully you literally can not taste what you swallow. you can also use a straw to get the same result if you push the straw down your throat far enough to get past your last row of taste buds. know though when you unplug your nose you do taste the stuff but it's an afterthought.. my MOTO when I drink the stuff is hard and fast! its rough but it's over and done in no time. it does help if you do 1 1/4 of the drink at a time every hour. The whole thing is rough I will not lie, but if you use a strong clear juice you really like instead of the lemon flavour provided, it may work better for you if you're bad at drinking meds.
Christy's Butterfly I totally agree with that. also, get some panty liner overnight pads as you may have seepage for 1-2 days after you get the scope done

I've only had one colonoscopy and the bowel prep I had was orange flavored and quite nice, but I'm in the UK so things done differently. We also have it done free (ish) on the NHS. Every tax payer makes monthly payments via National Health Insurance , which is a low percentage of your salary, so when tests or procedures are needed we don't have to pay anything. You can opt to go private where you pay out of pocket or pay into a monthly health plan for treatments etc., this is the quickest way to have procedures done. The US health system is all about money making!

I too have had the procedure done... I will be keeping you in prayer for a successful procedure... The flavor for the mix just adds some flavor to a drink with the consistency of an aloe drink or coconut water... The flavor isn't too bad with or without the flavor... Most people I've talked to have a harder time drinking that much fluid... I myself drink a gallon of water a day... That's not counting other liquids... You can do it... It's not as unpleasant as people make it out to be... You can do...
I think it's better with the flavor packet but it's still nasty ! Make sure it's cold and you are in my prayers . I have to have a colonoscopy every 2 years because my family is very susceptible. I have had 2 sisters and my son have colon cancer.

My mom had the same procedure done and she said that the liquid tasted fine for her with the flavoring in it but drinking it without the flavoring was nasty and the worst part about it was it made her keep running for the bathroom. Lol. She also said she had to drink it ice cold because it made it easier to swallow and get it down. Lol. So, I hope it's better for you. Prayers that all goes well with good results.

I am in Canada and I have had the procedure done very recently. This procedure itself was a piece of cake, so no worries there. The drink was different than mine. I had not flavor packet. Mine smelled like fruity loop cereal but was horrible to drink.. I wish you all the luck and well wishes.
