Stacey i have had 2 colonoscopys done and it was nor too bad. but i am surprised you drove home. I was not allowed to after both and had to have someone to drive home.
I feel for you as I had my first colonoscopy last year here in the UK. Thank goodness there was nothing sinister, but I found the pre-op preparation rather an ordeal. Sachet 1 was mango (ewww), sachet 2 fruit cocktail (nice) - but drinking the solution plus the same volume of water made me feel completely full up to the base of my throat and very uncomfortable. Luckily a couple of patients I met at my pre-op appointment warned me to stay very near a toilet after drinking the solutions, so I gave up the idea of going to bed and dozed on the sofa near the bathroom. What happened after that I can only liken to passing hot volcanic lava every few minutes! And did I feel sore!!! Each time I thought it was safe to lie down, I had to dash to the bathroom, so I was exhausted by the morning. Thankfully my procedure was done quite early the next morning and I opted for sedation. Hoping all your results come back clear!
I had that done and they removed 6 inches of my bowel in 9 hours of surgery and I had died for 1 hour but I'm OK now thank God for looking after me then
The geese really need a little pool. Not necessarily to swim in but they have to be able wet the eyes or something like that. I have heard that they really just need to be able to wet their little faces. And DONT LET THEM IN THE GARDEN CAUSE THEY WILL EAT THE FOOD!!!!!!!!! They are so sure! And Stacy I hope your recovering well!!!!
I had my first colonoscopy six months after having a hysterectomy due to endometrial cancer. Two polyps were found and removed. One was cancer, the other was precancerous. I had to have a colonoscopy every three months for a year. Then every six months for two years. I'm cancer free for 13 years.
I've had 3 colonoscopy, and I ABSOLUTELY, hate that stuff!l Yuk, yuk, yuk. And no matter how much I drink, they still have to rinse away residual poop!
I had that done a few years ago. It was very uncomfortable. I stayed positive & thankfully it came back clear. Hopefully I’ll not have to go thru that again. Love & blessings to u all.
Hey Stacey! I've had this a few times and I also get the endoscopy at the same time. I get them both biopsies. Cancer runs in my family really strong on both sides of my parents. Myself and 3 of my other sisters have had breast cancer. We lost one of my sisters to breast. It spread to her lungs and brain. She was 36 yrs old. Sending love and prayers. You got this girl! ❤❤
I did the colonosopy in 2017 and 2018. The second time included the endoscopy. My doctor suggested I drink the liquid with light colored gatorade. The toilet visits were atrocious as well. Glad you accomplished the task.
Last time I had to do that it came out of both ends. Doctor wants me to do it again, but I don’t know if it don’t come out both hands. Good luck with it. Hope everything turns out OK. Praying for y’all.
Colonoscopy yuk! I have to admit I was lucky enough to have a really nice doctor and hospital crew that were not only nice but funny. The prep was gross tasting and I started to resent my bathroom lol. The doctor kept asking me my name age and address which was the last thing I heard for the hundredth time while being knocked out so I called him a smart ass and everyone laughed. Headed strait to the diner for breakfast once it was over!
White house on the hill videos. They built tractor trailers for their birds that you can keep moving around. Very cool and convenient. Chicken tractors.
So glad for the update. Have missed you guys. I am happy that so far you have good news from the procedure. They are no fun, and I think the prep is worse than the actual procedure! ❤❤❤
Glad all that's over for now. Can't believe they let you drive home, my hospital won't even do a colonoscopy without someone signing to drive you home. Hope your results are good. Sarah, your cake looked delicious! Garden is looking good!
Same here. I’ve never heard of any hospital letting anyone drive home after being sedated. It’s really very dangerous to drive afterwards in case you doze back off. I’m sure they figured Adam would be driving but where I got mine done whomever was driving you home has to drive up to the location to pick you up after they wheel you out. They also make that person sign a paper stating that their driving you home. I know Adam can’t drive but just wondering why Sara couldn’t drive them home so they would be safe. Not trying to sound mean or anything but just out of concern for y’all.
In the UK we are awake for a colonoscopy, no anaesthetic to knock you out. Mine was done this way and I watched the procedure on the screen. Also we are given sachets of bowel prep which you dilute with water. The US healthcare system does seem to take unnecessary steps, but then its a money making machine.
Really? I'm in the UK and had sedation for 2 endoscopies and a colonoscopy. Initially I thought I'd like to watch the first one on the screen, but having seen my angioplasties on screen close to my head, I opted for sedation which was the best thing.
Because my Dad had Bowel Cancer, my Sisters & I have to have 5 yearly colonoscpies from the age of 40. That prep is just BRUTAL!! Good luck for a clear outcome x
I was a pharmacy A Tech for 17 years and our pharmacist always recommended drinking the liquid you are about to take with a straw as that moves the liquid past your taste buds and always cold.
Hi guys hope everything goes well for you i know its not the same ive just recently come out of hospital after 3 half months i got covid ended up getting clots and they also thought i had TB , i had 2 serious operations trying save my life and ended up having my leg amputated but im still here gotta think of whats infrount instead of what was and us women are the strogest youll get through this Stacey all the very best prays are with you ❤
There is no way to do it, but to just do it!! I did this and did all preps and ended up not being able to have the test, I got sick w/ fever, so they sent me to Emergency Room and discovered I had Covid🙁
I have Crohn’s disease and get scopes up and down regularly. The secret to a relatively painless colonoscopy is to relax and try to pass wind as many times as you can. (After the procedure lol)They fill the area up with carbon dioxide so the dr can get a good look at the bowel or stomach. You need to get it all out or you feel all bloated and sore. I’m in the uk and 24 hours b4 an (afternoon)procedure we stop eating and drink 1 litre of the horrible liquid. In morning we drink another litre. It doesn’t half clean u out 😬. I bet you are glad it’s all over Stacy xx
I had to drink it on prep for a colonoscppy & EGD one time at the hospital. It tasted like a cross between a rubber tire and salt. I was only able to drink about 1/4 of it. It was nasty!!
You were doing "the jug". Up here in the North Woods. You're required to have a driver. I call the procedure a "Butt Check ✔️. I hope everything went well for you and yours. 😊
Having that procedure done... is no fun bc of the prep!!! I was abt 3 glasses away from finishing mine but it had gotten so salty and the pharmacy refused to give me a lemon option... sigh. But mine went great! He said I had an exceptionally clean colon! That was 4 years ago. I personally think they should rename that product 1 azz blaster 2000, or blast away! 😂😂😂
I had my first colonoscopy just this past February and it was one of the worst thing I've ever went through. I messes up the drink 2 times and my ass was raw for a bit lol. But that wasn't the worst of what happened lmao. After recovery I flippen fell off the bed and to the floor on my bare butt. Talk about embarrassing. 😂😂😂
Praying for you I have to do it every 3 years cause of cancer cells, not cancer but the cells, plus I had stage 4 thyroid cancer 6 years ago, so far still cancer free, just those dumb cells, keep us posted
My bowel burst 3 years ago at home I had to have 3 8hour surgeries in 9 days I had to have a stoma for 18months all reversed now but I think I may have a hernia where my stoma was waiting for a scan to see if I need another surgery preying for Stacie x
Oh yes, I remember mine almost 10 years ago. I ate Italian ice for breakfast and chicken broth and jello. So freaking delicious. Not !!!! Lol 😂 next year I go for another one. 😢 I dislike the prep.
I have had the trouble since I was born. I had two test where you use laxatives but still didn’t go on second one. And they then filled my colon with German like the pink stuff you use to drink before some tests.I had major surgery several decades helped but stopped working after about 10 years.
Drinking that stuff made me sick! I woke up the morning of the colonoscopy sweating and feeling sick. I can't believe they let you drive either. When I had mine done there had to be someone sitting there waiting to drive me home, or they wouldn't even do the procedure. I pray all of your results are good. The cake looked delicious. And the little geese are adorable.
Glad to hear it all went well for Staci. Hope the test results come back good as well. Sarah is such a pretty young lady, she mad that awesome cake, looked yummy, thanks for sharing.
Awww Baby Girl! God's with you !
Prayers for Stacey!
the prep is worst part of the whole ordeal. i get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy (tube down the throat) every year. i feel your pain girl!
Stacey i have had 2 colonoscopys done and it was nor too bad. but i am surprised you drove home. I was not allowed to after both and had to have someone to drive home.
No way! That's a big no-no!
Glad you got through it and they didn't find anything 🙏for you hun😊💛
Next time, ask the doctor for the pills. You don't need to deal with that disgusting gallon.
I asked the doctor for the pills and he said no. I just had that done on Thursday. The stuff wasn’t bad but I drank all but 4oz

For Me the "Gas" was the worst part!
Of course the drink is CRAPPY and the toilet needs to be available! LoL
Oh! Sarah did a great job on the cake.I never tried dr.pepper, sounds good.

Oh Staci I feel so bad for you! Hoping results come out clean! ❤
If she is taking that stuff that night, it will not turn out good. You should not be eating anything that night.
After drinking that my daughter said she could poop to no end like a fire hose.
I forget what I drank because I can't do lemon.

Glad you made it through your test
I had to sign paper not to drive after mine here in KY
Me too. Every time I've had this they wouldn't let me drive. I'm in Georgia. Hope you are well Stacie.
they dont tell you when you run clear you are cleaned out and you can stop drinking that stuff
Glad all that's over for now. Can't believe they let you drive home, my hospital won't even do a colonoscopy without someone signing to drive you home.

I never drink that entire bottle of nasty stuff. 😂😅😂
That cake looks so delicious. I would definitely like to it.
Praying all goes well and you feel better and get answer's.
Kinda late help suggestion but My advice is to drink with a straw! You drink more than you realize with a straw!
🙏🙏
I’m sitting outside watching this video and the Whippoorwill’s are talking to your geese!!

That’s a great idea
Good thought. I wish I knew that when I had my done.

Male geese may fly away , females not so much. The males will come back around breeding time
