Before I ever saw the clone wars, I saw Rebels. And Kanan was my favorite all the way to the end. He showed me what it meant to move forward by looking inward and not outward. The way he wrestled with his own struggles and doubts was moving for me. I felt as if I had grown with him. To see Kanan go from so fearful, to so confident and assured or himself was powerful, and his death broke me. To this day I will always love Kanan Jarrus.
Kanan is one of a few Jedi that represents what a Jedi is supposed to be and taught me this lesson through his struggles and pain as he never let those issues get to him even in his darkest of moments teaching not just me but all of us that our past pain and suffering is not what makes us but it's what helps us grow as long as we learn from the hurdles of life to be able to move forward in life and to never give in to that inner darkness but to use that darkness to to help change the world for the better whether that be in your own life or helping someone close to you or even being kind to a stranger cos that's how we grow as a society
Kanan is a legend. He embodies what it means to be a Jedi. Him, Qui Gonn, Ahsoka. They walk the line of following the rules but knowing when to follow your heart and do the right thing even if it’s unorthodox or against the code. Absolute Legends
An excellent tribute to one of the finest Jedi Knights the galaxy has ever seen. I love the transition shots in this thing, especially here at 2:00; the shift from Caleb as a boy looking back at his master and Kanan as an adult in front of his family, accompanied by the Grand Inquisitor's condemnantion about how he couldn't save the latter any more than he could save the former, and how _utterly_ false his words were proved; at 2:49; where Hera's line about how "you could always see me" shifts to him recovering his sight in his final moments as he gazes upon her*; and at 2:53, where we see the impact he has had on all of those around him; Hera's love, Zeb's friendship, and Sabine and Ezra's gratitude. I also love the bits where he says "I couldn't just let it all burn down around me," as he's holding back the flames in his final sacrifice, when Bendu says that so long as he sees himself, he will never be truly blind right before he gets his sight back, and Jacen appearing as he says "Hera;" the final gift he left his beloved. * Which I believe was a final gift from the Force itself to this most loyal and true of its servants.
This remaster was the chefs kiss to end the year for me. 10/10 video again man. Loved the new little add ins. Made me tear up a bit. Must be dusty in here
the inclusion of live action ezra was so subtle i almost didn't notice. what an incredible remaster of what i personally consider to be the best of your work. dont ever stop making these

Outstanding remix! Fixed the audio issues around the spiders. The inclusion of some of the live action Ahsoka show is a little jarring maybe, but definitely more complete, and hopefully there will be more live action material to balance out this video. I like the messaging and pacing being under 5 minutes, gets the core of it, so if there's another remix with new material, I'd recommend you stick with what you've got, it's already heart-wrenchingly spectacular and well timed. Glad you took some time to revisit this one! Love it!
