Carnegie Music Hall was NOT the predecessor of Heinz Hall. That was Syria Mosque, also in Oakland but now demolished. Carnegie Music Hall was the ORIGINAL Home of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra - at the end of the 19th into 20th century.
