this was so so so helpful- its so scary to not know what any of the dorms are *actually* like when you're trying to organize an entirely new life somewhere, so thank you so much for making this :)
She's so cool, maybe I'll meet her someday... I lived in Stever last year, and I really liked it. I met a lot of my friends in Stever, and typically you'll never be bored. It's super easy to swing by some of the common areas to see if there's anyone around, which there usually is (during orientation Stever is absolutely packed). There are study rooms on every floor but second, which is super convenient for doing work (although sometimes they aren't the most productive LMAO). I would say there is a general tradeoff between social atmosphere and amenities, although I do know some friends who lived in Residence on Fifth who found their friend group there. In the end, choose the dorm that's best for you, based on your needs (socialization and amenities). Whatever you choose, don't spend too much time in your dorm building (made that mistake second semester)!
oh my god that mcgill dorm was decorated so cutely. the girl also had such a cheeky lil smile 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 i hope i see her on campus next year, what a nice sweet nice girl!!!!
Donner looks so fun! I’m definitely living there next year!! EDIT: on a real note, I’m the girl in the orange shirt in Donner and it was honestly a great place to be. Everyone bonds over being the collectively hated-on dorm (they just don’t like our spirit 😤), and so many of our friends who come to visit our room comment on how it’s unexpectedly a really nice place-nights in Donner feel like a fever dream 🤪🤩🥳 and we do have soap!! just not that day LOL EDIT 2: come say hi if you see me next year! and I made the trek from donner to gates everyday while I was there so if you’re a CS student, it’s not too far!
Could anyone share more experience about living in Hamerschlag?🥺 I will live there this September, and i am kinda worrying about the living experience since there is no ac/elevator.
