Yes I loved her character development in the comics and she‘s my favorite character in the comics. ❤️ Will had her powers from the beginning in the comics but her being the leader alone made her a much more confident and stronger person. I always felt like she acted a lot more confident and stronger whenever she transformed into a guardian and was the leader compared to her human form. :)
Also she couldn't have had all her powers since a large portion of the power of the heart of kandrakar was created to raise the veil between meridian and the rest of the universe, so much so that the first time it was raised, the heart was free for the taking for some time by anybody as it didn't have enough power

Will wasn't granted powers by the heart because heart's power was incomplete and partial because of the veil that was raised between meridian and the rest of the universe. when the veil came down all of that energy went back inside the heart of kandrakar which unlocked her powers. that energy also unlocked new abilities for other guardians that was originally missing. This is the reason why C.H.Y.K.N (the former guardians) had all the powers of the heart from the start. Because there wasn't a veil that was raised by the heart when they were chosen as guardians.
The "it's sorta working over here" scene might be one of my favourite comedic moments of the show, along with "thanks for flying with Guardian Airlines" and "Wow, must really be getting crowded in there".
I used to be pissed that Will got her powers so late bc I loved her for being so powerful in the comics but still relatable. But the truth is, that way they could focus more on her leading qualities and strategic abilities. Like in the comics she’s kind of overpowered with her absolute energy powers and basically unlimited heart powers. But the focus wasn’t on her leading qualities and she wasn’t a great strategist either. Like in the comics she was a different person as a guardian (confident, strong and sometimes even bossy) than as a human (insecure, immature, whiny) bc of her becoming a powerful leader as a guardian. But in the show her character development was generally (human and guardian) a lot stronger bc her main focus was on her leadership experiences and growing more mature this way not her powers making her stronger. Even when she finally got her powers she wasn’t as overpowered as in the comics.
For me Will and Irma were always tied for who the best character in the show is. One thing that bugs me is that they gave her super strength in the first season where she was shown punching some soldiers, that doesn't fit Will or any other girl from the team.

Beside, the guardians regurlarly get hit by magic, elementals attack and monsters powerful to break stones with their bare hands, yet they don't die, their body broken in every way possible so i guess it's fair to assume they are physically stronger as guardians.
Thank you for making this video. Will was my favourite character! I will never understand why this show got cancelled. It really makes me sad till this day, that we didn't get a season 3, 4,5 etc! It would have been great!!

The W.I.T.C.H got their super powers in the comics and the super powers were a update to their normal form, so yes the comics did come first but the TV-show was still continued in the comic after the end of the series

They changed a lot of things like they're ages,in the comics they're like 13 and when they transform they become olders,Hay lin grandma's dies in the beginning and joins the oracle. Kadma and Halinor are dead,but they've always watched over Will. Irma can see the future with water and other stuff I don't remember everything. A thing I remember is that Caleb becomes a flower and Cornelia uses the powers of all the other guardians to transform him back but they brake up because his in love with guardian Cornelia not human Cornelia and she ends up with Taranee's brother.
