ethan cianfarani that’s my only big complaint with Young Justice, too many new characters in the seasons after season 1. It’s one of the reasons why I stopped watching after a couple episodes into season 3. They’re not bad, but it’s like watching a completely different show but with a similar plot line. There were just wayyy too many new main characters introduced. We barely got to know the new ones in Season 2 before they threw more at us lol

zeu xlaught she also lost her father in season one and tried until season 2 to bring him back but learned to come to terms that he was gone and Fate somewhere along the way let her see her father every year. Her magical prowess also grew without her father tutoring her, so her being able to take on klarion without her fathers tutelage is amazing considering klarion is a lord of chaos

The thing is, when a character such as a magic user is too powerful, they are not usually seen much in a series/movie.

Zatanna is so OP when compared to the rest of the team. It's funny. She looks like a balanced character because most of her appearances in Season 1 are unfair one-sided fights like Red Volcano, FIVE top tier magicians, Harm, etc. If she participated in the tamer fights, it would have been incredibly obvious that she is overpowered.
yeah, I got that feeling too, hence she was incredibly underused in the subsequent seasons except for when the plot really demanded it. It's been like that in previous issues and incarnations too
I agree. And in the later seasons. Even if she is no part of the team anymore. With the missions. You can tell if she was still part of the team the missions wouldn't have taken so long XD

When Clarion got mad that Nabu's tower didn't belong to Zatanna I laughed. He obviously didn't remember that her father is currently posessed by him, therefore granting her special access.
He didnt know, he left before Zatara exchanged his own soul to Nabu

@@user-uu7bi4wr6s M'gann created a mindscape in Artemis' mind while Zatanna's magic just blinded her with magic, allowing her to speak to Wally's "Spirit" and get closure for his disappearance. She went through an entire life with him, including her own child, but she got so caught up in the fantasy she forgot it wasn't real.
Once Artemis came out of the mindscape, she said she was fine and could move on, but Rocket asked if Zatanna really called Wally's spirit and she admitted she cannot do that, and Rocket put two and two together, realizing it was M'gann who 'helped' Artemis instead. Zatanna even said "If she ever finds out what we did, it won't be pretty."

@@EvanFox-r1s Had to be done, sure, but who's to say Wally's actually dead? All the Scarab said was "cease", not "die", so there's still a chance he'll come back. Plus, season 4's subtitle is "Phantoms", so there's always hope.
She was very underutilised in season 2 but in season 3 she was hardly even there hoping to see more of her in season 4

@@c0mplicaketed530 Gwen has so much more than just throwing disks. Idk but i think the writers are to be blamed. In the classics, gwen was very useful and she utilizes her magic very well with her spells. But in the succeeding seasons (alien force and ultimate alien etc.) Her powers seem to dumb down provided that her powers are now more anodite-based rather than magic. Instead of the human sorceress she was, she became a half-alien who uses magic out of her alien origins, which i am not really a fond of (her being an anodite is great but her manipulating mana solely from her anodite heritage is kinda....) the writers should've focused on her magical abilities she derived from charmcaster's magic book or they should have just sticked to the concept of gwen being a normal girl who achieved sorcery by learning it. If that would have happened, then surely, she should have been a stronger entity who has a greater potential with her elemental magic, analogous to what zatanna is capable of.
Zatanna has a beautiful soul,mind and,us one of the most powerful Magi in the world.she my favorite character because she's unique and responsible.
Such an underused character in the series, I wished they would use her more often, she's so awesome & she actually has some of the best episodes from this series.
The only spell I can make out from all of that is "Etativel," which is "levitate" spelled backward.
I can make out that and heat up metal weapon the one she used on harm

Her using one of Fate's spells is actually much more impactful than most realize. Remember in Season 2 when Fate couldn't cast the Beattle Cleanse spell because it was human magic?
Well, this means that Zatanna has the power to even use one of Fate's, which is a LORD OF ORDER
She was even able to summon the power of a goddess in s2
In the comics she has the powers of Arion who is beyond Dr fate
They way in the comics shes even more powerfull than him
I love her character, so it's a shame they that added so many new characters in Season 3 instead of focusing on the fan favorite originals.

I like her performing magician design. It's refreshing compared to the mage aesthetic usually given to characters with magical powers
there's something about season 1 Zatanna's spells that I'll always enjoy more than season 2 and 3. Maybe it's that she used her magic to support the rest of the team (like the snowstorm and the cloning spell). Maybe it's that she was very clever with how she words her spells to get exactly what she needs (knowing that by making shazam transform into Billy she won't have to give him the starro chip cure). Maybe it's the fact that she uses magic like how a teenager would use it which made her that more relatable to the audience (to change out of uncomfortable boots and perfectly season her cooking).
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing her becoming more powerful and using really strong spells over time. But there's definitely that utilitarian "writer's solution to resolving the episode's conflict" feeling with a lot of her spells in the later seasons. Her general lack of screen time also doesn't help with that.

They did it. It’s called White Witch but their power never was saw because they have a little time in comics (one short issues on it). I presume they have the same powers each other - but we saw Zatanna using chaos magic and how powerful she was, now imagine that comes true.
