My husband and I moved to the Bible Belt from Southern California in 2001. We attended church, and I joined a women's Bible study group where I hoped to not only get more deeply into the Word, but make friends. What I found was a group of women broken into cliques! There was no room for the outsider, unfortunately. I remained with them for three years, for the study only. The church was beginning to change because of sudden growth, so we moved on to a non denominational church. We didn't last more than a little over a year there though, because of the "we've gotta grow" attitude instead of the desire to teach the gospel. My husband now has dementia and we live in an apartment complex where I have finally made friends with my Godly Christian neighbors! I had to leave church in order to find fellowship. I thank God for the love and kindness I have found now, but can't help but wonder why it wasn't available where it should have been.

Talk to that church about your experience. If they don't know it's not a problem they can't fix it. Just a thought. :)

I grew up here, in the bible belt. You nailed it. I've only ever known "cliques" and I've not been comfortable in any of them. What's worse is discovering, at the age of 49, that there were preachers and other Christians who actually read, believed and taught the True Scriptures. I can't tell you how many times conversations have been stopped because, and I quote, "You know more of the Bible than I do." I didn't know such a thing could be a problem in Christian conversations, but it was. I'm actually still searching for a good, bible-believing, bible-teaching church. I'm praying for us both!

It’s hard to find biblical friendship and fellowship with other christians when you have megachurches and churches turning apostate rn in the world - part of the great falling away sadly.
There are still a handful of churches preaching sound doctrine , most likely we need spiritual wisdom from God to help us navigate through this world to find a good biblical church where the saints are at.

I see God moving across the deserts from Edom, the Holy One coming from Mount Paran. His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise.

I wish I had real Christian friends. I suffer with depression and am introverted. I keep myself away from people because I’m seen as a misunderstood outcast. And people are shallow and talk about crap that doesn’t matter. I pretty much hate people. And stay away from them. But I still want a true friend. I lost mine 3 years ago and I’m still sad 😞 please pray for me if led to.

JESUS is the friend that never fails, leaves, always listens and can talk to anytime, any hour. I´m 51 yrs. My advice: Don´t search for a Christian friend.. look for Christ.. He will be always there.. and pray for you to find your place in the church. We all have gifts. you can feel the call and put it to service for God's purpose and to give Him honor and glory.. you'll find friends willing to serve with you and you'll feel the agape love. God bless you, Greetings from Lima, Perú.

This brother is so right about the segregation within churches. Even the way bibles are marketed is segregating. Women's bibles? Teen bibles? Men's bibles? What about just plain THE Bible? Although l do believe children's bibles are excellent starting points. But the categorizing seems to take away from the fact that we are a family and a body that's eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
The brother is also right about church discipline. I believe that too often pastors choose to be liked and popular (read: cowardice) over speaking the truth in love. There's a fear that if people are confronted about, let's say, immorality, they will walk out the door and not return. But where's the concern for the impact this may have on those who are practicing self-control? If favor is shown to the wicked they do not learn righteousness.

If I'm not welcome at your church, I'm not welcome. But your approval isn't necessary for me to worship.

Pastors don't have any friends? No wonder so many burn out. Although I'd have to question why a pastor would put himself in that position. There's a saying that the best way to have a friend is to be one.

It is written in the five Books of Moses detailed; instructions, measurements, design, materials used and construction techniques.first the ark of the covenant which contains the Ten Commandments (Gods word) and Aaron’s budded staff.all the wonders done through the staff was the word.when the staff budded the word made flesh.next an altar, both where inside the tabernacle of the congregation, which was in the centre of the camp of the children of Israel.if we draw a plan of the camp using the measurements we get a cross.
For 40 years the children of Israel wondered around the desert in the shape of a cross.in the centre of the cross was Gods word, the word made flesh and an altar.
Please read the scripture, pray and ask the comforter for guidance.
