Thanks for the review. Half of my last name is "Roe", so I was hoping this was going to be an amazing whiskey. Oh well. Here in British Columbia, the Powers I can easily get is Three Swallow, which is a little more than Roe and Co. I absolutely love Three Swallow. Maybe I'll try Roe one day, but probably not.
18 months later and prices have risen. €23 is about the best price for the budget brands now. I picked up a Roe & CO today in SV for €30. I have to say, it is lovely neat. The 45% makes it feel oily, almost gloopy in the mouth but not burny or offensive like the cheaper whiskies. It's very moreish to my taste anyway. I am happy to pay €30 for this. When the price goes back to €43, I'm back to the Powers or the Bushmills.
I’m gonna disagree I am a novice but I just picked this up and I absolutely love the whiskey! The smell from the beginning had me excited. I’ve drank almost every Irish common whiskey available from the liquor store and this is very good.
Hi John love both your channels just having my first taste of Liberties Oak Devil my son bought me for my birthday today really nice but finishing off with my favourite Tullamore dew
I picked this up from Tescos for about £25 so I’m assuming they’ve done the same deal up here as they have in the south. I have just finished the bottle while watching this funnily enough, and I have to say I agree with your review. I think I remember seeing that the RRP here is around £35 and for that price you’re headed into Spot territory.
Hi john just Sub to you here and the woodworking Great from what i seen so far I am an Antrim man! So my tipple would be a large bush! But like most irish i drink anything wet Can't wait to see when you will try the mighty Bush Good luck stay safe and take care
Another great review, loving the history behind each review, when we have at home socials (pre lockdown) I always like to give some background to my whiskies, be it distillery history or a quirkiness surrounding the maturation. Just started following your Instagram page, @theliqourcupboard, hit me up with a few likes or a follow if you wish. Slainte
This is so immediate and friendly without being boring, it’s utterly delicious and is up there as my favourite whisky of all time.

Glad you enjoy it!
Great honest review
Keep it going
Great video👍🥃🇮🇪 The coffey still also had a huge impact on the demise of irish whiskey.
Great video production quality

Thanks for the sub! I'll have some Bushmills soon!
I agree with your opinion 👍
I buy it for mix drinks.
totally agree 40€ is just too much for this - BTW stay away from the Roe & Co Cask Strength
it sure is, I'll give the cask strength a miss
I'm in crisis between a tullamor DEW 14 yeqar old or this one Roe...what do you suggest?
I'm not a fan of the Roe&Co, I haven't had the Tullamore 14 year old.
Picked this up for 25 euro today
Its far superior to powers
But at 25 euro it's a good price but no way would I pay 40
I'm trying to guess where your accent is from, guessing you have roots in Dublin and Meath?
No lol , you are not the only one to guess wrong.
