John, I found this channel from your main one. I'm really enjoying your whisky journey. I've recently been getting more serious about the subject though I'm focused more on Bourbon and local Texas whiskeys. Thanks for sharing your tasting technique.
Brilliant review with a fantastic backdrop. Cotswolds are doing some great things and like you said, amazing for 3 years. Have subscribed to watch your Whisky journey Cheers.
I adore this whisky. Cotswold Distillery is my favourite current English distillery. We visited them in when we took a trip to the Cotswolds last year and sampled some of their other bottlings which was fantastic. We was also told that their Peated Cask version is aged in barrels from Laphroaig ;-)
I prefer the original cotswold whisky they make (the 3yr old) one - really good for the age. Their gin is also fantastic. Did their tour pre lockdown and was great to see this small scale distillery in action! Nice to see it gaining popularity outside the uk.
I think I saw a bottle from that distillery here in Washington State but I don't thinknit was cask strength. I'm the guy on your other channel that recommended a wood project that spanned both channels of yours. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
John what’s the #1 relatively budget friendly whiskey you would recommend to someone who doesn’t really like hard liquor or whiskey, that’s available in the United States? You have convinced me to give whiskey another try.
Well I can only really speak about Irish whiskey, so I would say try maybe Jameson Black Barrel, Powers Three Swallow, they would be around $30 or if you want to spend a little more maybe 50-60 bucks the Redbreast 12 year old is great. You could try a tasting pack too so you can compare, that's a good way to try get into whiskey.
@@thewhiskeyshed.4105 ooh, a tasting pack. That sounds like a good idea. I’ll have to see if I can find one. Thanks for the tips. Keep up the good work John, your channels are fantastic.
More videos please 👍
I haven't tried this but the English Whisky Co make some fantastic whisky.
Thanks John. Your reviews are a treat!
Glad you like them!
Excellent review, I could almost taste it as you described it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
