I lucked out and snagged a copy of Tracks with decent joints. Only his knees and the mushroom pegs in his hips are loose, but just noticeably while handling him. He can still hold his weight in most poses like the rest of my collection. I don't mind the larger backpack since he's a non-aerial character with a Back to the Future-esque flight conversion. I see it more as necessary accommodation for his flight equipment, kinda like a jacked up version of Sideswipe's jetpack. I even keep his tail fins extended in 'Bot Mode to better reflect that, inaccurate as it may be. The leg transformation sometimes throws me off, but I wouldn't say it's bad. That's just me forgetting how to do it right after not touching him for extended periods of time. I'd actually go so far as to say it's ingenious. Then again, I'm one of the weirdos that enjoys a little unnecessary complexity in what should be a simple toy. I don't know if it's a hit-or-miss QC issue or if it's a problem across the board, but the only proper complaint I have with this Tracks has to do with his chest-waist connection. The pin in the chest slider seems to be set a bit too deep in it's housing so it doesn't clear the waist joint like it should, forcing me to flex his chest uncomfortably to accommodate the connection and making it just as much of a chore to disconnect to get him into his Alt-Mode. Now both parts of the slider are almost entirely stressed and I'm worried I'm gonna break him. I'm even afraid to snag Road Rage now, much less replace Tracks when he finally does break.
I'm still mad I could never find Roadrage. I'm hoping I find her at TFcon at some point. I didn't hate the leg transformation, but I did find it funny that Legacy Animated Bumblebee basically figured out how to do it properly.
at 1:57 - this is the part of the transformation I cannot get right no matter what. The legs/feet were to me just unnecessarily complex and fiddly. Just have the feet flip down from the bottom, and open the leg to extend it out like other figures do now (Sideswipe), then you're done. Simpler and less of a hassle to open.
I wanted Road rage never found her. I kept passing on Tracks whenever I saw him. Kind of regret that now.
I just got Road Rage yesterday at a con. Its def the better version but if youre not big on Season 2, then Tracks is a pretty easy skip

great video bud love the transformation sequence!
There Is an up grade kit made only four him that fixes the legs.
I like this figure, that leg issue is a huge downer but if you get a good copy he is a pretty cool transformer.

Hopefully we see a concept SS86 Tracks that uses the bumblebee leg flip and is a touch slimmer.
If I could pick the next bots to be in a 4-pack, I'd like to see Loudpedal, Riggorus, Outback, and Reboost.
An easy scoop for me. I'd love all of those

Someone else pointed out that LGU Animated Bee gets this motion correct
Do you often do reverse transformations in your reviews? 'Cause all the figures are packed in robot mode.
I just prefer to start in Vehicle mode
Is the translucent plastic on Road Rage less likely to crack?
No idea
