If Horrible Histories was allowed to swear this is exactly what it would be like.
Twenty Øne Cheers for Sweet REEvenge it was supposed to originally! It was supposed to be for adults with Stephen Fry as a host. It was later reworked to the brilliant kids show we know today.

Dyspracticaly Dyspraxic yes we know but the show was originally pitched as an adults show until the BBC thought it would be better as a children’s show. They did eventually make an adults version with Stephen Fry narrating instead of Rattus Rattus!

If you haven't already I suggest you watched 'Quacks'. It's a historical comedy about victorian doctors and Mathew is in it! I dunno if it's still on bbc iplayer but you can probably find it online somewhere

On the Horrible Histories channel there were so many posts about how hot Mathew Baynton was and all of the school girl (and boy lol) crushes that the now women and men had on him when they were adolescent kids ...they took down the comment section on Horrible Histories. Was the most funny and interesting comment section I ever read in my life. I truly miss it 😂 apparently not appropriate for kids which I understand but it was fantastic 😂😂😂😂

the guy playing lord george byron has a really cool looking face. it's just really nicely symmetrical and he's really good at expressions, like he just walked out of a cartoon! also the woman telling the story is goddamn hilarious.

This video has a whole new level a humor in 2019, with Ghosts premiering on BBC (Starring Mathew and a bunch of other former Horrible Histories alumnus) and a certain Romantic-era Ghost (Played by Mathew) having a huge distaste for Byron
It's gotten even better- the narrator, Jessica Knappett, appeared in the newest season of Ghosts, and Mat's character falls in love with her iirc 😂
Jessica Knappet is a really underated comedian. It's actually her quirky retelling of this that makes it so funny.
I love when you can hear the camera crew laughing in the background, that's how you know its a really good one, and this is hilarious.

1:44 I really love how smoothly he transitions from talking to the doctor to breaking the fourth wall here. Especially since he can't affect the line delivery b/c it's all voiceover. It's all in his body language and how he changes his eye line.

Not being British, sadly. I just found Horrible Histories like a month ago, and have since developed a massive crush on Matt.
1) I turned 10 two years before Horrible Histories came out.
2) I'm not British nor from an English-speaking country. I wouldn't understand it for about next 2 years after it came out and I would still need subtitles, otherwise I'd catch 10% of one whole sketch at maximum.
