- Hello friends!
I present you a new video where I wanted to test the Chrome paints for the first time. I was really curious if I would be able to obtain the mirror-like effect on the miniature scale
This video is not sponsored, I just wanted to share with you my first impressions and experiments with such Chrome paints. If I did something wrong while painting, just let me know in the comment:)
I have used the paints from @greenstuffworld and @vallejocolors .
The shields come from @puppetswar9452

Check out the brushed copper and bronze again. You create an organic, hammered, look on the surface. Looks awesome.
That bronze colour is gorgeous.
True, it is very attractive!
I’d like to see some more tries with airbrush application. I have an army of custodies to paint and it seems like a great way :)
Great demo, thanks for sharing!
I'd love to see what these maybe look like with some wash's on them, or on a bit of scenery like a copper/bronze statue weathered with some nihilakh oxide.
That looks wonderful. Im still gonna stick to Molotow for Steel Chrome, because its wonderful and super easy to use, but that gold and chrome look absolutely stunning. Will definetly check!
So basically thin with alcohol and use it like a wash. Thanks 👍
thanks
Nice
These look great! Tempted to try them out with some Stormcast Eternals
I would love to see the effects!:)
Normally when airbrushing chrome, it has to be sprayed over gloss black to get that mirror finish but when I brush paint this stuff, it doesn't require a gloss base and still comes out perfect.. is it the same with the airbrush? For example, Alclad's chrome look's totally different over matte vs gloss but does GSW's look the same, regardless of matte or gloss base? I haven't tried airbrushing it, yet. I would love to see a comparison of it brushed vs airbrushed on matte and gloss.
These paints look great! I do wonder how they would look on some grey knight armour 👀
Let me try it during the weekend!:)
@@galharen I've actually been thinking about starting a grey knights army, but have had trouble on deciding how to do the metallic armour- depending on the result, this may be exactly what I'm looking for
I’ve heard these work best on gloss black primer Not just gloss varnish over top, but a pure gloss black.
This is why I have tried it in the end of the video:)
Subbed
thanks!:)
Bro, you have to paint all of them with the airbrush. Then you will get the best results.
Would someone get in trouble for pa8nt ingredients their roof with this,,;??
Would’ve diluted them to reduce the visible brush strokes edit: you did it with the last one! Nice
I have the silver chrome one and i was wondering what you recommend for pin washes?
I would try the oil wash to get it only in the recesses.
@@galharen any particular varnish over the top of the chrome prior to the oil wash?
🔥🔥🔥
Flund this video not so long ago. Convinced me to buy the tin plate and bronze. Currently doing magnus the reds armour in the tin plate. I absolutely love it.
