Hi. I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to camera repairs. What kind of lubes do you use to line those parts? And what kind of solvents are you using to clean the camera parts?

Hey man Ive officially watched all your videos. Best photo channel ever, fro knows don't know anything compared to you! I'm trying to fix an old Kodak stereo camera where the film itself winds the shutter when before being wrapped onto the takeup spool (what is that type of winding mechanism called?) whatever its called its awful because I have three cameras that use that method of cocking the shutter and they all have the same issue. The take up spool knob on the right of the camera will turn but the tension is so great that the film wont actually wind or the shutter won't cock, it's just making the light clicking sound as I turn the knob, which I think is the counter mechanism but I'm not sure because I've gone about as deep taking the camera apart as I feel comfortable doing without a repair manual or one of your videos. Any advice would be awesome. THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS!!!!

Very cool! Thank you for your keen interest in FOC. Sounds like a video on the Kodak Stereo Camera is in order. Might be a long while before such a video is produced though. Can you cock the shutter by rotating the sprocket with your thumb? If it is cocked, does it release? The entire front shutter plate assembly can be removed as a unit by removing the long shouldered screws located on the edge of the film chambers.

OK Mr Fixit.. question for you... I have a Mamiya 645 with a problem... the little pin on the cameras body that should engage the f-stop ring on the lens.... does not engage correctly...actually not at all. I have to hold the pin in place when attaching lenses. Do you know who could help me with this? Thanks for any help you can give!!!!

Hi! I have a canon af35m. I noticed that there's a small chipped off coating on the lens (inside). Will it affect the output? Thank you!

A small chip in the coating or glass could cause some lens flair.
