VIKING GLORY | First impressions | Baltic Sea cruise ship

In March 2022, the new cruise ship Viking Glory premiered on the Turku - Mariehamn - Stockholm route. The ship is built in China, owned by Viking Line and is currently the largest ship in regular traffic on the Baltic Sea. I went on a half-day trip from Mariehamn to Stockholm to get some first impressions of the ship and everything it offers.
In this video you get to see the boarding, departure, views from the deck, restaurants, a quick look at the spa area and "Fyren" ("the Lighthouse") which is a private dining room for twelve people with an outstanding sea view.

Back in the day, Silja used to be the up-market option and Viking the more budget ships between Finland and Sweden. Now those roles are reversed. My girlfriend and I travelled on Glory last June and it was a breath of fresh air. The a la carte Kobba restaurant is excellent and our cabin was great. We sailed back on Silja Symphony and even though those ships have that central promenade, which is very cool, the entire ship just felt a little jaded in comparison.

Nice that you had a great trip! I agree, we also took one of Silja's ships on the way to Åland, and then getting on Glory for the journey back was a truly wonderful experience. I'll try to cruise all the way to Turku, Finland in the future.

Ms Viking Glory is cruise ferry with a capacity of 2 800 passangers and 584 cars. It's the biggest ship ever operated by Viking line.

I didnt like it, fellt like the whole ship was just stairs, only positive its the amazing outside area, but inside, just a mess, it looks nice but not what I would expect from Viking Line.
