Texas Stars, How To Cut The Angles!!! (Part 2)

  • In this video I show you exactly how to cut the angles for a Texas star.
    I had some scrap wood laying around the garage and rather than throwing it out I decided to make these "Texas" style wooden stars (five point stars). Made from scrap pallet wood. Fairly easy project once you know how to set the angles on your miter saw.
    Great way to re-purpose scrap wood and create some art for your home!
    Make some stars for the holidays or year round decoration.
    See part 3 video for how to glue the star together and how to stain it.

    I just made 6 stars, using this method, and it worked perfectly. 3 stars were made from 1x6 pine, and 3 from 1x3 pine. Thanks for the video.....very clear instructions!

    I saved the cut offs and glued them together might have to sand just a little. But it made a nice 4 point star. This used up some waste on the 45 degree star and going to try it on this one too

    my table saw only has 45* in that case what would be the measurements for the cut, you put 54 x 31. So me with 45 what would be the other angle??? Thank you

    I really want to know the how to figure out the narrow piece like 1 1/2 " not 1x4!

    • @savvybuilds
      @savvybuilds  Рік тому +1

      That can be tricky to cut because of how small the pieces will be. There is a hollow center star that could be made safely with 1 1/2". I have yet to make that video.
