When you make a video called Fastest Helicopter in the World - Top 10, you dont have to say "making it one of the fastest helicopters in the world" for every one.
also seems he says mph when he's supposed to say km/h (or at least convert the speed)
talks about Eurocopter X3 but shows what looks line an Apache ...
Yes and the fastest helicopter speed is achieved in a dive, the MIL.MI 24 has a speed record for 336 km/h so the entire clip s a bit inaccurate...
Yea so confusing
When you make a video called "Fastest Helicopter in the World Top 10, and proceed to completely ignore the Westand Lynx, the fastest helicopter in the world at more than 400 km/h, which was actually verified.
Can I buy this helicopter?
7:14 "with a maximum speed of 315 kil- Eurocopter x3"
I love that transition.
LMAO
You used the same exact footage for the Apache and Eurocopter.
What does he think we're retarded or something?

@@rebelliouschild4277 the X3 is the experimental compound helicopter that was at the begining of the video. Why they used the Apache footage I don't know, when they had the footage of the Airbus X3. The European Apache is called the tiger and looks quite different.
I know nothing about helicopters and was still able to tell this video was inaccurate

luigiwinner goopir wait are you telling me the wiki isn't perfectly accurate when it comes to military vehicle specs? All I know is a lie 😂
I am a commercial rated helicopter pilot. I also hold an A&P ( airframe and power plant) mechanic's license. When the advancing blade and the forward speed of the helicopter are added together, they cannot be more than the speed of sound. The machine will instantly crash, if the total is too high.
Go Airwolf go!!!!loved that show lol

What happened to the chinook!?
TheAlmightyNetwork “via US military: “that’s classified”

The chinook is definitely slower than a Apache
sparrow no it’s not. Chinook will out shift the AH. Often would leave behind its AH cover when taking critically wounded from battlefield to role1 care in Afghanistan.

Officially the 'Westland Lynx ' is the fastest helicopter ...
It was with 249mph but the x3 beat it in 2013 at 293mph. Lynx is still the official fastest production helicopter. X3 was only a prototype. I personally don't see the x3 as a helicopter as it is a hybrid like the osprey v22.
Actually,THE fastest helicopter ever was the Lockheed AH-56 Cheyenne at 250 mph.
@@josephherman5790 unfortunately not true, the cheyenne only officially clocked the top speed of 244mph. They estimated that the cheyenne would have been capable of 275 mph but the program was cancelled and the USAF decided to use the Cobra instead.
@@josephherman5790 To be totally pedantic the Lockheed AH-56 had a top speed of 247 mph.
The Lynx topped out at 249.09 mph.
@@hoppy857h5 unfortunately not entirely true, at least one Cheyenne prototype clocked over 480 Kph or just under 300 mph. ua-cam.com/video/fR-r6RR1nJM/v-deo.html
When speaking about the X3, why does this video just show more Apache footage?
But none are faster than Airwolf! ;-)

I never knew the Apache was actually a Eurocopter. Bloody idiot.
The Sikorsky CH53 Super Stallion definitely should have been mentioned with a top speed of 315km and max service ceiling of 5640m.
Mike Whiter
CH-53 by Sikorsky is one of the greatest. It is by far one of the hardest working helicopters on the planet! Agree 100% it should have made the list.
The image of apache is the same that the image of eurocopter
hey the video of your so called euro-chopter is an AH64 APACHE
Nothing beats Air wolf 😆
So you put a comanche in the thumbnail but not in the video. That totally makes sense.
Nico Ibañez i thought that. I had to re-watch jist to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Actually Apache is relatively slow on our operations in Afghanistan the loaded apaches have to ask The chinooks and Merlins that they are supporting to slow down lol
Yes .. But i like the Apache from Gilze rijen Airbase..

might want to update with the Sikorsky X2 and soon to be the S97 Raider! I saw the X2 fly with it's coaxial main rotors and tail pusher prop it had a smooth sound and had a rock steady hover! It broke the speed record for a helicopter and didn't even start to break a sweat!
And the Helicopters record it broke, that of the AW Lynx is also missing from the list
S-97 Raider. Counter rotating blades and a pusher prop at the aft.
Tkx
The X2 has a pusher engine which isnt a tail rotor in the true sense of a helicopter and gives additional forward thrust. It is an experimental type and can just about get you 40 miles on a clear day.
Number 1 is Air Wolf everyone knows that
Yes, but "The Lady" aka Airwolf is dead. She was sold to Germany and served as a rescue Helicopter and crashed during a thunderstorm in 1992. 😪
A big thumbs up! No robot voices to be heard. Thank you!!!
I like how the RAH-66 was in the thumbnail but not in the video.
What about the Westland Lynx?
The first Lynx prototype took its maiden flight on 21 March 1971.[6][8] In 1972, a Lynx broke the world speed record over 15 and 25 km by flying at 321.74 km/h (199.9 mph). It also set a new 100 km closed circuit record shortly afterwards, flying at 318.504 km/h (197.9 mph).[9] In 1986, the former company demonstrator Lynx, registered G-LYNX, was specially modified with Gem 60 engines and British Experimental Rotor Programme (BERP) rotor blades.[10] On 11 August 1986 the helicopter was piloted by Trevor Egginton when it set an absolute speed record for helicopters over a 15 and 25 km course by reaching 400.87 kilometres per hour (216.45 kn; 249.09 mph);[2][11] an official record with the FAI it currently holds.[2][12] At this speed, it had a lift-to-drag ratio of 2,[13] and its BERP blade tips had a speed of Mach 0.97.[14]
would have been nice to break down the mechanics of why one chopper can be faster than another at the end...
Love that the video doesn't have 1000 ads on it. Great video !
Always fun to see a video that makes things up as it goes along.
apache at start and end....x3 looks bit diferent :P

no shit bruh this is a top 10 fastest helicopter video. its pretty obvious that it is one of the fastest helicopters
Very informative and thanks for mentioning meters and kilometers as well.
I can't wait for the SB-1 Defiant to come out
In a top ten video titled "Fastest Helicopter in the World," how many times do you have to remind us that one of these ten fastest helicopters are "one of the fastest helicopters... in the world"
Edit: also you cut out the entire segment about the chinook.
You forgot to mention the British Lynx the fast helicopter in the world. very disappointed you missed it out.
The AW139 is also being used by civilians EMS across australia, and by far one of the best aircraft I have had the pleasure of working in!
What if the second fastest helicopter was flown by Jan-Michael Vincent?
He was drunk at the time. lol
Eurocopter X3 and you show and Apache lol
Am I missing something? The last helicopter is not the X-3? The opening is the X-3. Should have put the Sikorsky X-2 on the list. That is more of a Helicopter than the X-3. The X-3 is a death trap for anyone getting in and out of the helicopter in combat transport role.
They not only showed the wrong video for the X3 but also didn't informed themselfs enough about it. It's not a military helicopter, it's an experimental helicopter to prove the overall design. The actual X3 had no other purpose then testing and demonstration. The only build model is already in a museum near Paris.
Yeah, was wondering why Boeing's AH-64 was in that #1 clip as the "X-3", which the real X-3 was in the opening. Poor editing.
Since you would be able to command the two tractor propellers independently of the main rotor, they would be shut down before allowing anyone out of the aircraft. Obviously a safer design would be to shift the wings and the propellers slightly to the rear if at all possible.
The V 22 osprey definitely deserves a mench I would really like to see it in a video like this it is just made for a video like this
Awesome and they all have some major power
Ehm, the Eurocopter X3 is the one in the Intro, not the one you showed when you said the facts about it!
Westland lynx did an official 249 mph or 400kph in 1986!!!
RIP CW4 JAMES WILLIAM "HOOKER" MILLER. At the age of 64 yrs old, my brother just passed away on April 13,2019 from cancer that he contracted from serving in the end of Vietnam and the Desert Storm wars. He was one in a million that could do it all and took pride in the being an Apache Pilot and Instructor for our boys to be the best at what they could do. Nothing is better than the Soul that can fly high and also play the soulful blues as Hooker could do. I will always have your 6 brother❣❣❣

The navy cobra was better.

That's what I said where was airwolf
Yeah very true! But Airwolf doesn't exist anymore. It crashed in Germany in 1992.

NUMBER ONE IS STILL "AIRWOLF" HANDSDOWN : )
It is clear this voice-over doesn't know helicopters, nor is he a pilot. His mispronunciation of words like "subsequently" is a giveaway. He is simply reading the Wikipedia page for each aircraft. The video doesn't always match the aircraft he is talking about. Nor does he use the NATO names for the Russian/Soviet era aircraft that the world is more familiar with, like the Hokum, the Havoc, and the Hind. That last aircraft is clearly the AH-64 Apache. Instead of providing details like armament, rate of fire, combat operations, he keeps repeating horsepower and SHP which is the same thing (shaft horse power). "Gunship" is the same as "Attack helicopter". I wanted to like this video but I didn't.

The Eurocopter X³ (X-Cubed) is an experimental high-speed compound helicopter developed by Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters). A technology demonstration platform for Eurocopter "high-speed, long-range hybrid helicopter" or H³ concept,[1] the X³ achieved 255 knots (472 km/h; 293 mph) in level flight on 7 June 2013, setting an unofficial helicopter speed record.

Jee Mr.+peschernik, to my absolute astonishment, how didja managed to type the.., reduced in size "3"- as in "Cube" of after the X, I'd very much like to know. How, may I ask are you able to achieve this (probably only me and a handful of others who're backwards in our understanding of keyboard functions) unique typing mode. Can you teach me, please??
Cuz I've been like, from since time in memory, has had to make-do with the pathetic method of typing; let's say for example; "Degree" - wic (by my standards) can only be represented by the same aforementioned word, "degree", alone. Wic is to effectively say, in essence, the Keyboard had evn up till now, in this day & age, had no representation of any sort of a reduced in size ;- "o" or to further add, they as well don't come with a certain abuv the letter stroke to represent the of be they "High or Low" pitch for certain pronunciation.
Here I "Thank You" in advance. Do ave a good-day & week ahead. Godspeed always.
So not really a helicopter as it has a tail-plane and no tail rotor, wing-booms with two turboprop engines, not a production aircraft or a military one either!

Sounds like you're focusing on the wrong thing[military aspect]. The video was purposely focused on the speed aspect, so yeah, a video about the fastest bulldozers wouldn't be far-fetched.
Airwolf.. Best for bisnuess.. Best of all..
The Lynx has the distinction of being the world's first fully aerobatic helicopter with the ability to perform loops and rolls. That thing they show at 0:16 is the one that was supposed to be at the end. In my opinion it shouldn't be on the list. Propellers = hybrid fixed wing.
Because if he showed you the Eurocopter X3, it would be seen as a hybrid, which is exactly what it is. it has a normal rotor but also 2x turboprop on wing-booms, one on each side and no tail rotor.
