First part:
- F Aeolian plus Bb Mixolydian to spice it up during the Caug7etcetc
Second part:
- Bb Dorian (I know it's the same scale, but it's another mood) plus Bb Mixolydian as before on the Caug7 and a little note of strangeness with a D Locrian on the Dm7b5. And if you want a bit of extra craziness ;) the C whole note steps on the final C7
Everywhere: a lot of nice descending chromatic phrases sound nice on this track! ;)

Anthony Edwards I thought the same thing when I listened to this track the first time. I even started it over after the 28th count and noticed at the very beginning there’s an end to a 16 count loop that sets you off for a verse. If you listen the whole way through, you’ll notice a couple silent counts that ultimately prove to be pretty significant parts of the structure of the entire production
Anthony Edwards I used to notice down beats kinda similar on Thelonious Monk recordings. A lot of times he used the “ off “ beat to emphasize his counts. Pretty genius if you think about it. Also another time I noticed it was on that album “ dark side of the moon “ by Pink Floyd on that song “ money “, it was played on a 7 count loop with a silent count used to keep the song uniform.
