The work you guys do is amazing. I think many folks who are doubters or negative don’t understand how important answers are. I also do some work like this and have run into this negativity many times. In fact, I’m running into it now, where someone doesn’t want to reveal the truth to someone who is obviously seeking it. But I don’t feel it’s my place to reveal it, so I’m relying on this intermediary who is refusing to do it. Frustrating. And I’ve run into it before. In the end, even when the truth is not as good as they’d hoped, the person is pleased to have answers. It’s closure. It’s fulfillment. That’s what you’re providing. I reconnected a daughter with her birth mother. The reunion was good but it all soured over time. They no longer speak. But the daughter (who was the one seeking) is still happy that she has answers. Otherwise, what would she be doing? She’d still be expending massive amounts of time and emotional energy searching. The closure is so much more than people realize. I’m not suggesting that Albert’s search will end badly. On the contrary, given the brevity of his birth parents’ relationship, the father likely never even knew of Albert’s existence. So, who knows? The father may be thrilled about this and take in Albert (and his sister) with open arms. So, my comments aren’t directed at this search in particular. But in other video comments there is sometimes negativity (like, “why do you want to find this person who abandoned you?”). Some of those comments are ignorant. There may have been no abandonment. It’s the military. Many of these men were forced to leave when their duty was up. It would’ve been easy to lose contact by mistake and then maybe they’ve been searching as well, but unsuccessfully. Or maybe it was abandonment, but they were essentially a kid at the time, maybe 18 or 19 years old, and they’ve since matured… and maybe they’ve been searching unsuccessfully or are too ashamed of their past actions to start the search. We just don’t know. Everyone’s story is different. We cannot just assume negativity (“you were abandoned by this guy; why do you want to find him?”). And even if the negative answer is the truth, the searcher deserves that closure. Keep up the great work. And here’s hoping that the results for Albert and his sister Kenet turn out positive.
I have been on the other side. My son was not mine. I tell you the father needs to know. No matter what. Then it is up to him to bond. I tell you the day i found out, it was the worst day of my life. But now i am ok. This man has the right to know, and it could be his best day of his life. Bring love together. Russell
I hope you don't act any differently towards the child. It's easier to love your own, but a advanced soul that loves without a DNA requirement. Do expect respect for your contribution to their life.
The bond between brother and sister is amazing to see. An instant connection and so many similarities that it’s uncanny. Albert you are truly blessed to have a sister that is so special
grabe, naawa ako kay albert but still happy for him,he have the right to know who is his father, please sa lahat ng ina, sana naman lahat ng gagawin natin hindi anak natin ang mag suffer....naawa talaga ako sa mga anak na sila magsusuffer sa kagagawan ng mqgulang...
Because Albert's mom doesn't know if you watch carefully you can see that Albert's mom is crying because she made a mistake with her father and she doesn't know that it's not the father
Hi! I suggest that you have to contact the father first and ask him if he wanted to see his kids before flying to Thailand. You guys did a lot of efforts already in finding him, so I guess it is better to know if he is interested and eager to know his biological children the same way his kids are anxious to meet him. These 2 lovely children don't deserve rejection and that will be too painful for them. Goodluck 🍀
Agree! Who knows if incase he got a wife/family over there she doesn't want to be disturb or she can't take it if there are other kids outside, there might be various reasons. But if they are open so much the better thinking that Albert is looking his biological dad.
I wholeheartedly agree... It's expensive to fly to Thailand and it's only a 50 percent chance Albert and Ate will be accepted on the spot. This man has his own family and this should be handled delicately ... God Bless All
Albert's closing statements, he seemed much more at peace. I can't imagine the roller coaster of feelings and emotions. He is one tough dude, but I think that stamina comes from being a caring, compassionate and forgiving person. He has a good soul.
THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS EVERONE!! 🥺 I appreciate ya’ll bigtime. A HUGE thanks to Leah and Blair slog as well for making this possible. The quest on going to Thailand and to reunite with my dad will be hard but i know you guys are with me on this Journey ❤❤❤
They were at least recognized with an award this year. Instead some of the super shiny pinoybaiting UA-cam channels. Which made me very happy. But yes, they could fund a project or something. Best one to contact would be Grace Poe. She understands this topic maybe better than everyone..
Albert has the right to know who is father is. The father has also the right to know that he has got a son and daughter. It's very important for all of them to find that peace. Thank you very much for your amazing work.
So Happy That Albert has His older sister to be there and talk to. As a person that dealt with Depression and Anxiety, I could see the moment that Albert found out that Robert wasn't his biological father . his Mannurizans changed, more of a lost and disbelief look, pulling his hair. BUT, the moment that Kenet reassured Albert that She Will Always be there for Albert, he had a look of relief. and smiled. Stay Strong Albert and Renet.
Hi Leah & Blair. Thanks for all your efforts in reuniting families. Re: this case, one way would be for Albert to post a message on expat forums based in Thailand. One is ASEAN now, the other is Expat Forum Thailand. Albert could write a short note there and link/ tell about this video (some forums don't allow video links, if they don't - then just point to the name of this vlog.) Hopefully, someone who is a member of those forums knows the American dad in Phuket and will tell him of the news./ the circumstances. I realize that it was for privacy reasons as to why you didn't release the name of the dad. (which is good, as not everyone wants to be on UA-cam) Maybe if the dad knows, then he'll contact Albert via social media, email or WhatsApp/ FB messenger, etc. Good luck to all!
@LeahandBlair you're welcome. Upon thinking it over, maybe you (Blair) or Albert can make a post in the expat forums in TH that you're searching for a man named - - but don't state why, and that the reason can be discussed in a PM or email. For privacy reasons, the dad may not want his "young shenanigans" to be exposed to everyone. I think it's also best to have contact w/ the dad first. I wouldn't advise that Albert go to Phuket to search for him because he might face rejection and his time/money/ efforts will be lost, not to mention the effect on his psyche. Good luck!
I made a similar suggestion just now before I saw this comment. I’m glad someone suggested this. I was thinking of old messages in newspapers, where people are asked to make contact. Caleb might have seen this sort of thing, being a genealogist. And people also try to find locals here where I live, by posting in local community Facebook groups.
This is one of my advice, I suggest that Albert writes a letter to his father and then ask him if he's willing to receive that letter to Albert's father or a video message.
What a heartbreaking story, but interesting at the same time. I am glad Albert has found a lovely sister in Kenet. I think shes lovely and will be good for Albert. I just hope his dad accepts them both with open arms. I dont know if Albert should go to Thailand? I think I'd see how the dad responds first, to having kids. I would hate to see Albert travel to Thailand, only to be rejected. Thats why I think its best to sus out how the dad feels first. I wish Albert and Kenet all the best ❤❤❤
I pray that this has a happy ending.. Brief encounter, like his mother described, a half sister which means another women, and yet Thailand - and Phuket of all places - instead of Philippines, sounds like lots and lots of brief, unprotected encounters (which he maybe even fled from by moving) and a man with no responsibility in his mind.. but maybe other half-siblings, who are so nice as Kenet at least
Leah, Blair and Caleb, amazing! Kudos to you all👏 All the best Albert and Kenet 😊🙏🏼 Albert try not to carry within you🙏🏼 Please tell your mother you love her and Forgive your mother for part of your healing…Breathe🙏🏼, many blessings 🙏🏼. Sing and be happy😊 Rowena please forgive yourself 🙏🏼🙂
Albert and Kenet deserve all the great things in life! I hope your connection strengthens. Albert flashing that huge smile after his sister stated, "No matter what, I'm here. Okay. I got you. Don't worry. We're holding hands. You got a sister... " Beautiful moment there!
As an adopted person (who has found biological parents ) it’s something that shapes a person. How do you know who you are if you don’t know where you’re from was my motto. I love helping people connect with their history but I’m also aware of how rejection can trigger all the feelings you had as a child growing up. Please touch base with the dad first before any surprise visits. Sometimes it takes time to process before they can reach out to their children. Love your work guys ❤ Good Luck Albert & Kenet
@kyliecharlton2394 hi Ancestry.com the address to send is in the description and comments section here at the top. Or please PM us at our FB page, The Leah and Blair Slog. ❤️
My body was shocked about the fact that his dad is not his dad, but there is a dad in Thailand. The shock was tempered knowing it's really the truth that he and his sister were looking for. The truth will be the medicine that will bring peace no matter the outcome. Can't wait to watch the next episode. TY Leah and Blair for your work. It's a story many have. My siblings and I just learned who our real grandfather is, and we also learned that his family knew, but it was a secret. We always wondered why we were never invited to a part on my father's side. Was strange
Wow...what a twist of story. I admire Blair on the way he announced that the father he was thought was his father all the while, was not his real father. Yung tingin ni Albert sa Nanay niya. Anyway, salamat pa din sa Lord na may kapatid siya na mabait and who got his back. Most of all, Blair and Leah are doing this for him. Saludo ako sa inyo Blair and Leah.
I feel so nice when I see both brother and sister in the same frame .. sisier is so supportive.. and little brother has already shared his secret to her long lost sister ...❤❤❤ The instant sibling bonding😘😘
In the end - it is Albert's and Kenet decision to pursue.... But if the father doesn't know - how can he accept or deny as well? IMHO nothing ventured - nothing gained. And there is so much to gain.
How wonderful that Albert and Kenet have found each other. As you say, their biological Father may have no idea! He must be told at least. And then all we can do is hope for everyones sake that he is willing to make contact. Thank you to Leah and 'Mr' Blair and also to Caleb, for all your tireless work.
Poor Albert 😢 .he was angry at his mum for a minute there. Its not her fault😢.People need to realize a couple of things before passing judgemental negativity on mothers. In this case, its very obvious the mother was very young at the time of 'brief encounter ' .how much stress the mother went through would easily remove some memory and many people assume that 1 'encounter ' is less likely than several 'encounters' a couple of weeks later. So mum believed wrong person 😢. I don't believe his mum was old enough to understand that possibility until this moment. ❤to her😢❤. Hope the siblings all have amazing adventures together forever ❤❤❤❤what a cool sister❤
That is awesome news for Albert. I always have to watch these videos when I'm alone because I don't like to cry in front of other people. If you grew up with both of your parents and you know who they are then its hard to understand what it's like to not know who your father or mother is and how hard it really is when people ask about your parents. I grew up with my mother but she would never tell me who my father was and I didn't find out until I was 38 and he had passed away 20 years prior so i never got the chance to know my dad. I am 48 years old now and retired and living in the Philippines and have a 1 year old son and a second son who is due in 3 months and I enjoy every day with my son and look forward to the same with his little brother and I want them to have what I always wished I had growing up. Good luck ALbert and I look forward to seeing the outcome of this journey
If there is one thing thst came out positive from this is he found a kind and caring sister. So whatever the outcome of finding the dad its still positive he found his ate.
I am glad Kennet and Albert can have that special sibling bond. I hope that you can track their father down, but I am concerned about Alberts state of mind at the moment, it is so overwhelming for him. Hopefully you can get in contact with their father and not get Albert to go to Thailand before you have made contact. Thank you for what you do. You, Leah and Caleb are such a blessing to many people.
Try to contact the dad to let him know about the 2 children he has. You won't know his reaction until you tell him what is going on. I think perhaps having albert and his sister write a letter together or separately and give it to the bio dad. That is all one can really do. I wish the best of luck and to Albert and his new sister. I think he still had a win with finding that awesome sister.
I believe the father should be informed. First I think Blair should try to contact him to test the waters. If he gets positive feed back then you should arrange for Albert to meet him there or wherever. I think it would be a big blow to Albert if he travelled to Phuket and his father refused to ackwolede him or his sister.
That is exactly my main concern and suggested to Albert before traveling to Thailand. I/we don’t want to see him end up heartbroken by feeling unwanted and rejected 😢
The minimum is to make contact no matter what that takes. Up to traveling to Phuket Thailand. The best part Albert and Kenet is you have each other’s love 💕. I sat here watching the video and it is stunning news to find out that the person who you thought was your dad , is not. The good news is you do know who he is with the hard work and dedication of Leah, Blair, and the Great Geneologist Caleb. Much love and respect to the team for doing such tireless research and work. The answer is yes to contacting your father.
Tbh ,I was also very surprised that Robert Fields isnt the father. In the baby photos he does look a lot like Robert, imo. The bio dad has some resemblance going by that younger pic . I would have to see a more recent photo of him to decide fully.
Leah and Blaire I am blessed to know my mom and dad and a grandpa. But my family tree is only 50% told, only on my mother’s family but in my father’s family it is again 50% told. The other half of my paternal grandmother is quite vague; no stories about her, no pictures and her first cousins never answer our queries about grandma. I am both blessed and a bit broken but, watching you help solve their genetics igiving me hope to know about my grandma’s roots. Salamat Sa inyo❤
You two have been a great help to those looking for their ancestry . I always cried specially when the time comes that the family get to know and see each other. God bless you both, good job!❤
Your work to help bring families together is fabulous. Respectfully, I want to give you some feedback. Albert is emotionally vulnerable, and I was troubled that you gave him and his sister the news about the real father on camera. Alberta was a deer in the headlights, and whilst he seemed to get through it eventually, there are some people who struggle emotionally and mentally, who might spiral down when that type of news is not delivered with gentle sensitivity, in an environment that is not being filmed. You're doing a great service and I hope you take my words as they were intended, as support for what you do and the wellbeing for all involved. Cheers.

Albert finally can share his life with his sister. This is going to be a great help for his struggles.
Just like Del Boy said... He who dares wins!
Kenneth is so beautiful and Albert is handsome.

Y'all are loved! Albert and Kenet, God bless y'all! Jesus loves you! Hugs and love from Texas!🙏💕🙏💕
Albert and his sister . What great people. I would be extremely proud if they were my kids . I hope this all works out for them
How wonderful that Albert and Kenet have found each other.
Omg! What a revelation.
Kenette, you are such a blessed sister to Albert🙏🏼❤️😍
Aww thank you so much ❤
Good luck to all concerned. I have two wonderful boys, both half-Filipino. My heart goes out to this young man and his sister.
Watching from California without skipping ads ❤❤❤
Thanks for the support! 👊
What an amazing sibling duo. It was so touching seeing her try to comfort him despite having literally just met him via video chat.
Thank you ❤
@ So hopeful for you guys! As a Fil-Am, your story hit close to home. So happy you both have found each other. Can’t wait for updates. 🥹🥲🫶

I hope you find your father albert...thank you very much leah and blair and also calib❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing.
Excited to watch the reunion ❤️

hope that 3 of them meet soon…Big hug to Leah and Blair.May God continue to bless you🙏🙏🙏
If there is one thing thst came out positive from this is he found a kind and caring sister. So whatever the outcome of finding the dad its still positive he found his ate.
She's great right!
No matter what, Albert and I have each other! ❤
@kenetcochrane598 indeed God found a way through several people for you to find each other.
Kenet is a cool big sister to have! Albert is one lucky young bro.
Thank you Leah and Blair's vlog for knowing the truth that made them complete ❤
Omg been waiting for this part 2 … please we want an update for this in the future
Correct too.
face to face give Albert a better chance of preventing rejection.
Give it a try……leah and Blair, you are so blessed and a blessing to others.❤
Thank you to your help mam and sir goodbless sana mka tulog pa kayo sa maraming tao need nila
kaabang abang ang next episode
I'm Subscribed for you Now Sir...❤️
It's awesome!!
Thank you ❤
Omg the looked in his face all the questions sad and confused for Albert ❤ hope they meet each other soon
Ang galing ni ate kenneth nakakaproud
Keep up the good work Blair Leah and Caleb bringing closure to people in pain
Caleb is the 🙏 Man
Tbh ,I was also very surprised that Robert Fields isnt the father.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. 🙂
You help a lot sir and leah, God will bless you more
Hi Marj. Nice seeing you here 🫰🏻
Thanks Dan
@@DanDan-01 hehe hello Dan ❤️🫰
Cheers.
Appreciate
Thanks guys!🙏❤️
You got this young Albert ! You a strong man and don’t let the past prevent you making a future for everyone you actually love in your life
Gooo to thailand Albert... you all get our back.. Soon all will be ok..thanks for these couple .. Blair and Leah

HOW TO SEND THE DNA TO THE LAB?
Send us a PM to The Leah and Blair Slog on FB
Wow. The plot thickens 😮
I think you should all go to Thailand and chase the father down.
How much money do you need to get there? I’ll throw some in.
There is a go fund me link pinned by Leah and Blair.
@@joyce2482. Thanks.
This is a Beautiful story ❤ 🙏 I pray you can meet both your sister and father, My prayers are with you keep us posted please
When can we expect an update?
A good few weeks, nothing has changed as of yet.
Wow that's great job ❤❤❤ I'm waiting for this day
The best you can do is to visit the embassy (is it American?) in Thailand where they can help you track the whereabouts of Albert's father.
Great work
