It is understandable that first generation should have consideration, the next generation will need to apply for naturalization. I was born in Cavite by my late Mother from the Visayan Islands… not including my half brothers (all from different Mothers) by my Dad during the Vietnam era-I was fortunate to be raised by my step father and eventually get my Naturalization as I got older. It was excruciating to have the void growing up, but blessed I had relatives that raised me in Manila. I had to find my biological father when I turned 15 yrs old --long story short we laid him to rest today 8/19/2024 in Miramar National Cemetary. All my surviving siblings were ALL together finally, to send our Father in the arms of our Lord. My heart goes out to each FilAm child left behind. Thank You for the closure you give these precious AmeriAsians ❤
I agree 100%. US lets in all these illegal aliens and gives them benefits, yet the children of American parentage have been jumping through hoops and not being heard.
I’m teary eyed about what Regina said “ hope the American government will recognize the Amerasian “ She’s so right .. they are the children of the Service Men ❤
Leah & Blair, this video is very good. I would love to see you do a lengthier documentary on the 'Plight of the Amerasians', perhaps by splicing parts of videos together that you already have focused on this one subject with your vocal narration. 🙂
I feel you, Regina and the other amerasian 😢. I hope someday your wish, your work for amerasians will come true. I'll pray with you for it to happen. Yes, be strong and never give up.
I always thought that as long as you had a parent who was a US citizen when you were born ( even if outside the US) you could claim citizenship. This is kind of eye opening to an even bigger problem.
Technically yes the offspring is automatic US citizens but the father has to claim them by submitting evidence and CRBA application to embassy before 18th Birthday. If not then they can petition for them before their child 21st birthday
The main problem is the fathers and mothers aren’t married so then the child is illegitimate. It’s more hoops to jump their like getting DNA test that has to be requested by Embassy. And even then the father has to agree to it. That’s the main problem. If the biological parents were married before birth of the child the kid can derive US Citizenship
@@TooHonest4_You Funny how the US government (Federal, state and municipal) takes a different approach to dealing with alleged fathers than they do towards those men when foreign children are involved. I think...Philippines has enough Ameriasia children. That they need to file a lawsuit against America. For America to recognize these Ameriasia children made by military personnel or Americans. The United States military has a saying "NO MAN LEFT BEHIND!" And that should include the children they made and left behind! These men did not adhere to the oaths they took when they joined the military! Military law is very strict and military courts should hold these soldiers accountable! America offers a sphere of protection from China on top of paying the Philippine government heaps of money for those bases, sadly the US gov't would laugh at them trying that and considering the #1 concern among Americans for the past year and a half (according to multiple sources) is immigration I doubt anything will happen for a while. Regina, you're awesome and well-spoken and your son is so handsome. These kids (Ameri-Asian) should have qualified for American citizenship if they chose to, because they are not children of tourists-they are actually children of American Army/citizens and they were employees of the US federal government. There should be a formal request made at the highest level by the Philippine govt to the U.S. govt, considering the historical relationship between the two countries. I am a Veteran, I went to Angeles in the Philippines and married an Amerasian in 2022. I am disgusted by the men who go there and leave children for the women to raise or perhaps their son or daughter is abandoned as a street child. These children ARE people who deserve the love and care any child should have.
If you are human, you have to feel sadness for how some Amerasians were/are treated by people in their mother countries. However, such treatment was not necessarily the fault of the father, especially if he had no relationship with the mother other than a brief sexual encounter and probably did not even know that a child resulted. In such situations those children were not “left behind” by Americans and Americans were not responsible for the racism of the people in their mother country. It is like they are saying that their mother and her country do not count or have any responsibility and only the biological father is responsible. Why is that? Is the motivation of these children to escape racism, longing to know their father, or longing to get income from the father or US government?
They will face Racism in the US too. I mean it would be like other African Americans. Also it is true that the mothers and their country are also partly responsible for this problem. Basically parents who conceive these kids and let them suffer without being accepted and acknowledged are to be blamed.
She did an excellent job and I’ve explaining it of how she should be eligible for American citizenship. She is an American. She should be granted, dual citizenship. Thank you for that informative video and I wish her the very best.
This is a very touching and sad story . I’m not sure if this issue had been raised among US lawmakers-meaning the US congress. Maybe the Amerasians should write a letter to the Congressman that represents their Father’s state in the US CONGRESS. I think the more voices heard in the US congress about this issue and awareness about their plight by the US lawmakers-your rights will be recognized . Thank you for this amazing video-you guys are doing Leah and Blair
You two. This is such an outstanding video. I had no idea that children of Vietnamese / American soldiers being left behind were somewhat helped in Vietnam with education and obtaining a US passport. The children left behind by US servicemen in the Philippines do not have any advantages, and many are looked down upon. I'm doing a little bit more research on the video that you provided, and with your permission, I'd like to expand upon this just a little bit further and bring awareness to the situation. No interviews, just bringing the facts forward to the public. The hardships that a lot of these children have faced are because they're half-and-half. Whether we'd like to admit it or not, there is a stigma about skin color. There never should be, but I've mentioned in other videos that The people of the Philippines, although loving and kind, caring and giving are prejudiced against darker-skinned people. This is not a prejudice within myself; this is just a fact. Those of you who know my background or my history know better. Outstanding video, or should I say mini-docudrama of a news presentation. Job well done, and thank you for sharing.

I'm 59 so she would be about 61 or 62 now. My dad was stationed at Clark when he was in the US Navy late 50s and 60s I'm guessing. Can you guys help me out?
So unfortunately sometimes here in the states becoming a citizen through serving the military isn't all caked up to be what people think. I heard of a story several years ago where a guy who was Mexican came here illegally, served in the military and still got deported back for whatever reason.
She has a point. I hope the US government or maybe a Senator can sponsor a bill so that they can come to the US and reunite with their siblings. If people who cross the borders were given a chance to live in the US, why can’t they when they’re obviously sons and daughters of US servicemen who served the country.
This is sad story like in my case I had my DNA test last year unfortunately my dad passed away on December 2022 and I don't have an immediate family match but most of my dad's relatives are my matched from closest to distant,I have two siblings with my dad my dad's sister and brother don't want to reconnect mam kat Ann admin of amerisian group send them a letter but they don't respond..to the U.S government please hear our voice we are the living creatures that your american soldiers left behind..

Immigration is federal law so I don't think that one state can have one immigration rule while other states have different rules. Immigration law falls under federal law, therefore, it is uniform.
It is every state and region has a Circuit District Court. Which a judge may rule in different favor for Immigration cases. California is district 11. But CRBA for instance if no claim before 18th you can’t get it. And then after 21 for immigration if the father doesn’t petition then it’s hard for them to come to the states
@@TooHonest4_You I disagree with you my friend because the judges in those courts you're referring to have to follow federal guidelines not state guidelines. Federal laws have to be uniform, a state can an immigrant more state rights than the Fed but the immigrant has to be in the state, anybody immigrating to the USA has to abide by strict federal guidelines.
West coast state district courts for immigration matters is usually more liberal on cases if it goes through appeal process. Once a federal judge grants a decision USCIS field offices in that region follows guidance from that case outcome on future cases
Regina is a smart lady and if her son ends up in the USA and he is handsome, I can see him doing well and providing well for his family back home in the Philippines.
I entered the USAF in 1984, and my first duty station was in Idaho; my unit there went to the Phillipines (Crow Valley Range Complex) many times, and we gained several personel when the bases there closed. They were all good people and talked frequently about those they left behind. I personally believe that genitically related offspring should have preference and support in relocating, more so than the so-called "refugees" we are bringing in by the 747 load now.
The philippines has to leverage its geo-strategic relationship with the US to have these Ameriasian become US citizens...I blame the Philippines Government for not leveraging its strategic pivotal location vis-a-vis US-China relations in getting the US to grant them Citizenship ASAP...
that leverage can completely backfire because it's not a "hey we're doing you a favor by letting you stay here and not getting anything out of it" the US gov't pays the Philippines gov't tons of money to use and build bases and in turn also protects them from China so it's a 50/50 shot.
You can ask your parents to pitch in , if they don't have it they don't have it. You didn't ask to be here, they brought you here so it is a responsibility not a favor. Just my opinion.
Hay..i am Amerasians too..And I think that the American government for not giving help or support in my life and theirs all the time.. should apologize by opening the way and giving a new life in a country that claims The most humane...
These stories hit my heart because these children were entitled to US citizenship from birth. My parents were married and I was taken to the US, but when I joined the military, seeing mixed race children left behind really hurt me. I have the opposite situation where my country of birth, will not grant me dual citizenship (even though that is not my goal) even though I was born to a national, in the country. Unfortunately, in the Philippines, many children were born to sex workers or casual partners, so the military fathers did not sign paperwork for their children. I think these children, if they can prove by DNA who their father is, should be considered US citizens, regardless of their age. Even if deceased, they should be able to apply for citizenship. Like Mike, Michelle's father said, these children would have had different opportunities if they were raised in the US. Maybe they should try to work through President Marcos to see if an agreement could be made with the US. As we all know the Marcos family lived in the US for many years, so he probably knows people who could help.
Department of Foreign Affairs should be an advocate in helping these American children who have a birthright more than any other immigrant who are being accepted in the United States.
You are right and even white amerasian been bully, I my self was experience the different colors matter, and I was bully tell me go back where I should belong, you are raw skin color, you are something came out in the bamboo tree, and a Tarzan hungers and many more, thank you for the videos you made, now I'm here in USA without any help from my father nor government but it's longway hard to do it
kagaya ng japan all half pilipino half japan. the government in japan nabibigay ng citizenship tinatawag na descendants. sana mayroong ganyan sa amireca
She is automatically a US citizen by birth or child of a US citizen as long she can prove paternity through a US deceased father. She can still file for her US passport by providing her biological father birth certificate and DNA results through her US base siblings. Doesn’t matter if she applied before using information from her presumed father. If you’re a child born of a US citizen anywhere in the world, you automatically a US citizen if you can prove, and DNA is the easiest way.
As much as I blame the fathers for abandoning their kids. Most of them didn’t know they had offspring. I think the mothers share a huge responsibility as well for placing their kids in that situation. Considering prostitution always been around everywhere for centuries. Then when you add military bases anywhere this is bound to happen. Birth control needs to be preached in the Philippines and I know it’s hard since it’s a Catholic country. And a lot of the women there assume if they have a kid with a foreigner the kids automatically citizens which is true in some ways but false. Filipino women or any women from any country just know if you intend to have a baby with US citizen being married before the birth of the child will make it easier for you to claim his or her CRBA. But out of wedlock your at mercy of the child father which most of the time they’re not cooperating. Just play it smart and practice safe sex. If you look at places like Amsterdam the Red Light district is regulated and ensures women have access to birth control. Regardless of military men or not, this will happen regardless you take young horny dudes out of their homeland and go overseas this will always happen
Also, they should make them take a DNA test upon enlisting in the military to hold these US marine accountable, responsible for their children they are leaving behind
US Immigration laws are outdated since the INA was created in 1952. No congress want to make any major reforms from both sides of the aisle because no one in DC can get along.
The question is, what if the DNA results proved that you were a child of an American citizen. Could that be a big help in turning your life around and be a US citizen as well? Do America recognized you as their own and allow you to obtain US Passport and citizenship?
I am an American veteran that retired almost three years ago and I am living here in the Philippines and married to a Filipina and we are about to have our second son in a couple months and I made sure to do my first sons CRBA so he has his US citizenship and I will do the same for all my children. The US immigration system pisses me off even more being a veteran because I served for 22 years and I am married to a Filipina and getting her visa is the hardest thing that I have ever tried to do. They make the process so complicated and expensive for people who are trying to go through the process legally but then turn around and give money to illegals and let them stay in the US while the government processes their visa applications.

Thank you for your service, Sir!
Interesting, Regina strikes me as of Samoan descendant! I wish everyone the blessings of what you are searching for, best of lucks!!
Samoans are genetically SE Asian (same ancestoes as Filipinos) and Black Islanders (Melanesians). Basically the first Blasians.
That’s so true mam 7:22
This is true,reality of life..
I'd love an update on her
They need to shut down our border letting people who hate us and turn all that help to help the GI children in the Philippines
Trump was right.
Yes!
She did an excellent job and I’ve explaining it of how she should be eligible for American citizenship. She is an American. She should be granted, dual citizenship. Thank you for that informative video and I wish her the very best.
Thanks.
Bravo ate I love your accent
love watching your show
This is a very touching and sad story .
Yes its being taken up with congress for many years, but nothing changes. 🥺
Since the Marcos family lived in the US, I wonder if the President or a family member in politics could help with this problem.
Yes 😢 i hope they will help her move to the US and her kids too
8:14 that’s frustrating letting others in but not amerinisians
Exactly!
Thanks Rob! 🇺🇲❤️🇵🇭
You are right and even white amerasian been bully, I my self was experience the different colors matter, and I was bully tell me go back where I should belong, you are raw skin color, you are something came out in the bamboo tree, and a Tarzan hungers and many more, thank you for the videos you made, now I'm here in USA without any help from my father nor government but it's longway hard to do it
i loved watching your you tube channel God Bless you both!
Help her pls

PM Leah May on our FB page. We are snowed under and it may take a few days. 👍
@@LeahandBlair ok thanks.....
So unfortunately sometimes here in the states becoming a citizen through serving the military isn't all caked up to be what people think. I heard of a story several years ago where a guy who was Mexican came here illegally, served in the military and still got deported back for whatever reason.
Is soo funny when you say..my wing woman,Sweet🥰🥰🥰
She has a point. I hope the US government or maybe a Senator can sponsor a bill so that they can come to the US and reunite with their siblings. If people who cross the borders were given a chance to live in the US, why can’t they when they’re obviously sons and daughters of US servicemen who served the country.
I was in my teens and I saw this catastrophe. America should have shame.
They are citizens and should be recognized.
Keep continue fighting my beloved 💝. You will soon find your biological parents. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It’s really hard for Blasian offspring in Asia. Philippines especially because the beauty standards is definitely geared towards more White/European. I can’t imagine the torment they went through. especially for how limited resources are in Philippines. They got treated like below the earth there 😢. If you look at all the Miss Philippines 99% are mixed with White

Thanks for sharing this information.
Beautiful family
Regina is a smart lady and if her son ends up in the USA and he is handsome, I can see him doing well and providing well for his family back home in the Philippines.
I'm proud of being ameraisian, because I raised with the family that
Love me so much..and even I'm not their blood they treated me as their family ♥️
Yes ma'am.
These kids that were left behind must be given citizenship and fathers should be notified
Well said. Thank you for your service Sir. 💯
The philippines has to leverage its geo-strategic relationship with the US to have these Ameriasian become US citizens...I blame the Philippines Government for not leveraging its strategic pivotal location vis-a-vis US-China relations in getting the US to grant them Citizenship ASAP...
Agreed
that leverage can completely backfire because it's not a "hey we're doing you a favor by letting you stay here and not getting anything out of it" the US gov't pays the Philippines gov't tons of money to use and build bases and in turn also protects them from China so it's a 50/50 shot.
Their both beautiful and im shock that USA didnt approve her citizenship
You can ask your parents to pitch in , if they don't have it they don't have it. You didn't ask to be here, they brought you here so it is a responsibility not a favor.
Just my opinion.
Hay..i am Amerasians too..And I think that the American government for not giving help or support in my life and theirs all the time.. should apologize by opening the way and giving a new life in a country that claims The most humane...
Please put all results in one video......we cannot find the send half and they're not chrono
❤❤❤
She is really right.
Absolutely disgusted with the US Government..they should be ashamed
She is right.
Do the mothers not know who the fathers of their kids are? It seems so often the children are mistaken about whom their fathers are.
Hope my daughter also can find her father , american also u.s navy
I would like to hear the US government's reasoning of why the Phillipines arnt included like the other 4 or 5 countries are
Did they have all so a Facebook site
Yes search the name and it should come up, can't put the link here. 👍
♥️♥️♥️😇🙏
This is so sad. If they can prove dna, they should be granted citizenship. It’s so wrong to leave them behind.
🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

kagaya ng japan all half pilipino half japan. the government in japan nabibigay ng citizenship tinatawag na descendants. sana mayroong ganyan sa amireca
I think that's the government rules same as Japanese children left behind in the Philippine.
yes kids need to know who
She is automatically a US citizen by birth or child of a US citizen as long she can prove paternity through a US deceased father.
After 18, US are very very very difficult in accepting cases.
Wish brother help me also ...😢😢😢😮
Halo mam ĺeah and sir blair merun din po akong problema sa anak ko rin po airforce michican po ang ama nya.
Also, they should make them take a DNA test upon enlisting in the military to hold these US marine accountable, responsible for their children they are leaving behind
That's an idea!
Reginald is definitely an American. Hope that American government hear their call to grant them citizenship.
Regina looks like someone driving a Honda to go see her kid play little league in an American suburb.
I agree this government sucks here in the United States
US Immigration laws are outdated since the INA was created in 1952. No congress want to make any major reforms from both sides of the aisle because no one in DC can get along.
It's a shame.
Yah thats true
Exactly, thank you for your comment Sir. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.
US should automatically allowing Amerisian to become citizen if they have some proper documents or relatives in the states from their father side.
To all Ameriasian you need to apply US Citizenship as early as you can don't let it pass 20 years old you will have a hard time
