Another awesome video man! While Mirage may not be my favorite (maybe because I intended to build it but never got around to doing so during it's prime.) I have to agree that BT-11 Mirage is such a good generic top end for blue. I also love seeing the fish/bird support and intend to add it to my own Funky Fish deck. I always enjoy how your videos are edited and the theoretical and informative approach you take to them. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next project!
Mirage is such a weird one for me, funny enough. I almost never play the full blown tribal build because I hate Bandai telling me how to build my own deck. More often than not, I'm splashing it into something else because of how open the design is. Was happy to see how open they ended up making the Xianpengmon stuff too. It would've been easy to make it fish-locked, but now it's splashable in anything with a decent On Play Level 3.
Mirage is still very much in it's prime. It loves all the generic jamming rookies we have gotten and still delivers top results in every tournament. It's also really cheap compared to the other top decks so just build it! 👍
@@falko2473 Honestly, I think Mirage would be a fantastic pick for anybody looking to get into the game, or get a better grasp on it. The deck has an interesting mechanic, a flashy boss monster/finishing play, requires you to engage with the opponent on both turns, makes you track resources on both sides, and allows enough non-tribal pieces to keep itself fresh and interesting in almost any format. And yeah, it's pretty affordable. BT11 Mirage gets a bit expensive at times, but it's not that bad more often than not.
It's not fun when people just play it as a mindless otk machine. I hate that approach too. It's not to pilot or play against. It's a lot more fun when you go off tribe and play more of a midrange approach. You get a lot more back and forth with the opponent, and nobody feels like they are on some stupid clock.
@@nomnom2407 You gotta find the fun where you can. Plus, I find that the OTK approach to a lot of decks really leaves a lot of skill expression and creativity on the table. I don't feel great winning or losing because someone "just had it," you know?

Glad to see you're back in the saddle!
Glad to be back! Thank you sir!
Waited for you soooooo long!!!!
Sorry I kept my best fan waiting!
There's nothing fun about this deck.

@@kevinski-tcg I guess I can see the appeal in this version of the deck. It has a smidge of Aegisdramon stuff, so at least it has that going for it.
