One of the reasons I traveled to Hong Kong was to enjoy the Amazing food this region has to offer. When I saw a noodle soup shop endorsed by the Michelin Guide I decided to take a look. The restaurant specializes in home made noodle soups. All made from scratch. The owner was previously a chef at the Four Seasons Hotel with a pedigree in French cuisine. Let me tell you the Seafood Noodle soup I engulfed did not disappoint!

My name is Brian but everyone calls me Greeny. I retired in January of 2020 after working 30 years in Law Enforcement. I wanted to retire young enough to be able to do some of the things I always dreamed about! I knew I wanted to travel extensively and retire somewhere warm and exotic I sampled a ton of places in the Caribbean, Panama, Colombia, Turkey but set my sights on Thailand.

thanks for sharing. pretty cool place
Thank you for watching!!
Nice! really liked the alleyway edits.
Thank you. Was like a maze in there
Thanks for sharing. I have lived in HK for 6 years and never knew about this place but will be sure to check it out!
A little hike out to the boonies. Worth a day trip there.
Great choice Greeny, amazing price for that bowl of goodness🍜
Was delicious.
True Cantonese food, that's why the word hello in Cantonese roughly translated means "have you eaten". Unlike Thai food, Cantonese food is rarely sweet, and my wife who is Cantonese can not stand what we Americans consider normal salty food. They have some of the world's most sensitive and keen taste buds. Enjoy Hong Kong 🙂
Thank you. I basically went there for the cooler air and the food. Both turned out perfect
Thanks Greeny, great food video, looks amazing. Loved the Phu Quoc video and many others. Dan, Virginia Beach
Thanks Dan. Great meal
I'm married to a HK lady so my mother in law can cook up a storm very smart of you to get out of BKK and head to HK
Was a nice break from the heat.
Theres a video out there where tons of Hong Kongers flock to Shenzhen China due to the falling Chinese Yuan and went on a spending spree. Maybe Greeny should investigate.
Interesting. Id like to go. We will see.
50 HKD to USD is less than 7 USD. That is less than what I paid for at a michellin rated restauranf in Thailand.
Nice video Greeny! Its a Greeny marathon today.
Oh. Sweet. I appreciate it.
man i'll definitely go to that noodle place next time i come to HK
Worth the 30 min train ride from Kowloon. I’m the next town over has the 10000 buddhas. Definitely worth a day exploring that area
The drone footage over Hong Kong what drone did you use. Crew overnights we stay in Mong Kok at the Cordis easy to get around one of my favorite layovers.
Just used some stock footage I pay for. Pretty professional stuff
@@GreenyTravels Mahalo hey wanted to ask the bloke you interviewed a bit ago that moved there then moved back I wanted to get the company he used to ship his things over there any chance you know or how to get hold of him. GO BLUE !
What's the price of the meal?
Was in the video. $18
@@GreenyTravels oh thanks. I missed that out.
Hong Kong is a place close to my heart. Such a crying shame what's happened to the place, and its wonderful people.
That aside... the food options in Hong Kong are brilliant!
Want something simple, and Western? GIve Le Velo, right near Central, a go. Great sandwiches!
Want an experience that'll put hairs on your chest? Cheung King Mansions on Nathan Road (it's got quite the reputation, so might want to read up on it first, haha). They do curries upstairs, and you'll be escorted past rat p*ss, dodgy hawkers selling knockoff Rolex' (opposite a legitimate Rolex store!!!), and illegal immigrants laying low. You'll certainly have a few stories to tell from there!
Ebeneezers in WanChai for great kebabs.
Sun Hing in Kennedy Town for 3AM Dim Sum (opens at 3am, closes at 4pm).
The above options are just a small snap-shot, and should still be valid. I haven't been back for a few years.
Have a great time!
Thanks. Wish I knew. Home now
1) Is the opening footage from your new fancy drone or you just stole it from some stock video 😂? I always wonder if theres a law against flying drone inside city limits with so many skyscrapers around. 2) Is it just me or the serving spoon is the size of a cooking ladle?! 3) The dish does look delicious but how is it compared to the USD$2.75 crab noodle that you had in Phú Quốc?
lol. Both soups were good. Actually great. You could tell it was. More expensive seafood in this one. Everything huge. Probably healthier too but I loved them both. At the store they told me you don’t need a license for under 30 meters high. This was footage from a subscription I pay for. Why reinvent the wheel. Most big cities have available drone footage. Mine will come in handy for beautiful nature type places. Like beaches. Waterfalls etc. not that comfortable flying it in densely populated areas. I actually haven’t even opened the box yet
@@GreenyTravels - I'm sure you'll enjoy the cheaper priced DJI either way!
Careful with the food there. Some of it’s like katoey; modified and maybe not what you really ordered. 😂
Some of meals may have been like that. I don’t think this one.
Where’s your next stop? Seems many You Tubbers are trying out China right now, especially the main cities! Plus your just a ferry ride to Macau, atmosphere is very different to Hong Kong, then there’s Taiwan, a very developed country with its own culture!
I hit Taiwan than back to Thailand. Been to Macau, well actually all these places before. Really just wanted a few days out of the Thailand heat
@@GreenyTravelsOk, definitely Japan and South Korea are good options too, if you haven’t been yet! I went some years back, I think especially Japan is becoming more affordable now! Then there’s Nepal, it’s only few hours flight and well worth exploring imo!
Too much noodles
Welcome. I'm even further up in Fanling. Try a pub called 'A Better Ole' in Fanling. Owned by an Australian called Stuart. All the best.
Nice. Enjoy!!
You should try the local fav street food place, Tai On Building in Sai Wan Ho. Can go the by MTR, building is above MTR station!
Next time
Holy moly, Greeny, was that drone footage at the beginning from the new drone you bought in the last video??? Do they let people fly their own drones over the city like that?? Crazy! Clarity was amazing.
lol. No. I pay for Canva pro. That was probably made with a professional drone
Nice soup joint. Thanks Greeny
If I stayed longer I’d try all of them.
Food in hong kong is excellent!
Yes. Great food destination
I got to unsub. This is getting so repetitive.
How so?
If you're going to unsubscribe, just do it. Why do you feel the need to leave a comment about it.
No attention as a child is my guess.
Get to stepping
Dime
His videos are real and entertaining. I prefer that any day to some phony trying to make a days travel into a wantabe Hollywood production.
