Thank you so much to the grains that pointed out there was a bad word on the self adhesive minis. I was absolutely mortified when I was told what it meant. The scene has been submitted to UA-cam for blurring. I am lucky enough to be around people who would never say words like this and thus never learned of its meaning or existence. I appreciate you grains for being so kind in educating me so gently. ❤
UA-cam blurred it out before I could see it so they’re doing their job! Why did they also blur out the faces of the kids on the mini packaging as well?

The "artist" of the painting is Claude Monet, and Giverny was his the name of the small village just outside Paris where he lived, had his garden and painted. He is one of the most famous of the Impressionists from the late 19th century.
I'm glad you pointed that out cause I was ready to shout it's a Monet painting in miniture while watching the video. Of course she can't hear me but I find myself doing that even watching t.v. shows. Things like "don't go in the basement you idiot." and "He's a total douche bag. What are you thinking?"

Etsy has gotten pretty bad about allowing drop shippers to sell items when they aren't handmade. So there's a chance you could have bought from a drop shipper without realizing

It's really sad what they allow these days, drop shipped mass produced junk and AI stolen artwork. I'm looking into alternatives for my shop because I don't want to support that poop
I had to move my buisness off etsy because of it. The whole point of etsy was "hand made" goods and antiques and allowing drop shippers to move in destroyed so many of the small businesses etsy was supposed to be built for

Last year I was searching for handmade outfits for build a bear stuffed animals as I'd gotten some handmade stuff targeted at build a bear sized stuffed animals and found resellers selling bab tagged items some were no longer available at bab and some were uncharged items still available on babs online store. I had a wtf moment and felt disappointed that I now have to slog through resellers and eBay sellers on a artists site. I don't mind 3d printed stuff as that will counts as homemade but selling other companies stuff felt like copyright infringement on Etsy. I've also seen official Disney merch being sold for upcharge there XD.
for anyone wondering ASDA is a british supermarket and george is a clothing and accessory partner associated with ASDA, double strength is a juice that you dont need to put too much in a cup then you dilute it with water
The miniature painting is definitely the prize of the whole lot! Clearly hand painted, hand-crafted wooden frame, and finished off on the back with brown paper, the way a professional framer would have done! And the info on the back is spot-on what you would see on a real oil painting. You should see if you can identify the artist, and let them know how beautiful their work is! And DEFINITELY keep it!
Its a replica mini version of Monet's work. Should check out his other paintings as he is a known impressionism painter during the impressionism movement.

That word is as offensive to Indigenous people as the “N” word is to African Americans / Canadians.
The Etsy seller should also get a bit of “feedback” for even SELLING it in the first place.

I had no idea of this either, you learn something new all the time. I had to look it up to get some info on it. It’s crazy to think that someone would even put that out there like that. I could play devils advocate and say that they also didn’t know what it meant(although I doubt it with the picture there too), or the same way that black people use the N word casually. Or they could be indigenous too and not take it seriously and I’m guessing it’s not a well known term to the world. But I get a sense that neither are the reason in this case. I actually just feel really sad about it tbh.😢

I’m sorry you can’t do many crafts anymore. I enjoyed when you sculpted and customized and resin crafted. At least you can still do some resin crafting stuff! I’ll be very unhappy when I can’t create things anymore. I have really bad carpal tunnel and fibromyalgia.

The squash is a drink you dilute. It's double strength because it's concentrated so you need to use half as much as the ordinary strength squash. Means you get more squash in a smaller bottle. Hope that makes sense.

Ah, the ASDA items bring me joy. I am a UK grain and I love seeing creators react to things that are new to them. I love squash! It's good for hot summer days.
The little Monet painting has a number and a signature on the back. Some time ago I saw a video from a creator I subscribed. She was at a store with some crafted things and a museum I think. There was an automat where you put 5 dollars in and then you choose by number some crafted things from lokal artisans/artists. The items had the same numbers on the back like your little painting and were signed in the same way like your painting.

This makes me want to go make mini mystery boxes in all recyclable packaging and where you can pick the scale or mix and match for people who build mini sets.
As a miniature dollhouse builder/maker I would have been over the moon about that luxury box for that price!! And you didn’t buy a specific theme box so you can’t be mad that you were sent a mishmash of all different seasons and holidays. $54 for that box is great!
Yeah I was like “You bought two separate boxes so you can’t value them both at 80. Only at the price it actually costs.”. It’s like if I bought two 25 Barbie Movie dolls at Walmart. I have to judge them by price individually, not in total because they didn’t both cost 50, they were 25 each.
The prices were horribly high! You can create/ print off your own "wall paper", gift wrap boxes, and all the other paper crap she received. That is why this mystery box was not worth the money. Then the items were not packaged carefully or in a manner to create an experience for the buyer. Please don't waste your money on sellers that are reselling drop shipped items and sheets of paper. The seller repackaged mass produced pieces and it is clearly seen. It is a shame that people just don't put effort into what they do!

I was absolutely horrified when I read this and I had no idea what that meant. I had put a blur request and the scene will be blurred out within the next hour!! I’m lucky enough to have never been around people who use slurs so this was a learning experience for me. 😔

Squash in the UK is a concentrated drink, so double strength would mean that you need less squash to water to create a drink. It is usually a tenth squash to water ratio.

The double strength thing is about the concentration of the squash, you add water to taste, but water is added in the processing at the factory, then someone worked out it's much more cost effective to not add the water in the factory and ship the higher concentrate strait out.
It's also great for kids parties/bbq etc, as you take one bottle and then get way more drink depending on nearby water sources. Our tap water in the uk is generally pretty decent so it's easy to add for those who want a juice drink instead of plain water.
The miniature painting is quite adorable & could easily be turned into a fridge magnet, totally cute 🥰🥰🥰

The "cute little squash bottles" are juices that you mix with water. One part juice and nine part water. They're pretty common here in europe.

Oh man, those ceramic miniatures really took me back to my childhood. My mom used to collect little clay dollhouse accessories and I spent hours playing with them as a kid!
I do like that the Asda packages don't use individually wrapped surprises as that cuts down on packaging that may not be recycled depending on where you live. But, I feel like they should include more items per basket for the price.

I think the rooster and blue parrot in the expensive kit might actually be (supposed to be) ceramic birds, that can be placed to decorate someone's house or used as paperweights. My grandma had a bunch of those, though they were all unpainted white porcelain.
If that's really they case, they actually *are* to scale with the roses.

Now I want to know what and where was the "bad" word! LOL! The pot with the burner and spoon, I think the heart plate went with that and you would put the plate on top of the burner to hold the pot. Love your videos!!!

It was on the gift wrap at a bit before 14 minutes. You can see that something is blurred out, which is where the word was. If you sort by recent comments and then scroll to the bottom, there is a comment identifying what the word is and why it's offensive.

I believe the burner for the little pot was upside down. The flat part goes up.
No the flat part should be at the bottom. In india we use similar burner made-up of clay. Instead of candles we use wooden sticks and shavings to burn

Also the heart plate she got matched it, as well as some other items matched each other that she didn’t put together/didn’t notice they matched?
Dish sets: large, matching sets are something you can buy for doll houses easily. The mixed handmade dishes seem more like a real person's dishes.
Also, one of the pitchers matches one of the mugs.

Most of those little ceramic things used to be able to be bought at the Dollar tree in whole sets. The ones with the cups and pitchers and stuff.
Not gonna lie, if you happen to not want those pattern and seed prints, I will happily take them off your hands XD My mom used to sew and grow flowers, and I literally recognize some of those (specifically Simplicity 4407, because she actually *had* that one and made me a blouse from it) so I would absolutely make those up for my dollhouse (yes, I'm almost 40 and I have a dollhouse. I feel no shame for this lmao). Failing that, if there's a brand on the prints so I can buy them somewhere, I would be super grateful to know ^_^
You can print them off for yourself. Just do aan image google search then shrink down to the size you want. You could even print them on card stock or slightly heavier paper than normal printer paper. So much cheaper and easier to do than buying from etsy sellers that are buying drop ship stock and repackaging it to sell at a marked up price.
The apple and blackcurrent squash is dilution juice - you mix it with water to make normal juice

I like the random mugs. I'd make one of those hook contraptions people hang their mugs on. either one you can put on the wall (behind the coffee maker/ tea kettle) or a tiny standing one as decor on a kitchen counter
The leafy blue set is a tea set. The it’s a teapot, sugar bowl, cup and tray to hold the teapot and sugar bowl. Very British! Just missing the sliver spoon lol

Coffee, yes! Had I known about the pistachios, I would've picked them 😊 The floor is parquet in a herringbone pattern 😉 and the ceramic pots might be a double boiler? Gravy boat is the technical name in the USA.
Jackie I went to Target today and I saw mini brands has a new product. I think it is a copy of mini verse. It’s called mini brands create. Might be worth checking out.
You did get your value out of the $54 box. Dollhouse wallpaper retails for between $3 &$5 per sheet. The Monet painting retails for $12.
I think the cheap mystery box was superior here, because the expensive one was just cheap miniature porcelain and print outs. With the cheap one, you can always customize the plastic boxes, if you get doubles.
It looks like the cutout cake boxes were literally just printed on the card. So you'd have to cut the round window, too?
I love both of these. Littles would love setting up a store for their barbies with the cheaper boxes. The more expensive box would be great for doll houses. I have priced doll house products and you would pay much more for individual items. I also appreciated soooo much less packaging to go to the landfill.

Squash is what we call cordial. You add water to drink. The double strength stuff is made so you use a fraction of the concentrated cordial to water. It makes the bottle last longer, but also means you hopefully drink more water and use less of the squash.

I know it may not be your cup of tea, but from my view point with the kind of wall paper and items in the expensive set would look amazing in an 1850 ranch house on the prairie. They used what they had and did their best to keep sets, but so much breaks... Hugs from Esquimalt

I just bought the Walmart brand mini shopping cart and a shopping basket. I absolutely love the shopping cart. It's pretty big and came with coffee cup and cup holder and reusable shopping bags. Love these videos.

Squash is a concentrated juice mix. You had a couple to a few tablespoons per cup depending on how strong you like it and then dilute with water. Never had double strength type when I was in the UK but it probably means you need less to get a stronger flavour.

Squash (sometimes called cordial) is a fruit based drink, a blend of fruit juices and flavours, different brands have differing quanities of actual fruit juices to flavourings. Instead of buying a fruit drink pre-diluted you buy the squash and dilute it at home. So you would use some of the squash and add usually it is about 1 part squash to 4 parts water. The double strenth just means that is more concentrated so less squash is needed. It is a good way that companies save on packaging and transport costs of transporting the pre made drinks where you are essentially tranpsorting unecessary water when we all have access to water at home.

I love that they are the legit labels/packaging for those Asda products that are just shrunk down, that is exactly how they look in the shop. Very cool :D So nice to see some familiar/UK type mini stuff (even if they were pretty crappy by comparison to other Minis that Jackie has reviewed), I feel all included and part of the salt shaker family with this one ^^ 💜✨🌈
That first luxury Etsy kit was not value for money imo. Some of the things were cute but overall, no, hard pass 🤨 The ceramic box seemed a lot better quality but I absolutely agree the randomness of it was frustrating!
