I do see the point of it being “lazy” packaging for the price but I would rather that over more waste and packaging to end up in landfills. I actually think more kits can learn from them.

They complain if there’s too much packaging and complain if there’s too little.
These kits can learn from other kits to not be as expensive as they are.

They can fix the packaging by using paper instead of plastic so it’s more organized but also better than plastic :D
Fun fact: in the wilds of America, all sewing related supplies (fabric, thread and floss, elastic) are all measured in yards. As in, “I’ll take three yards from that bolt of fabric.” So no surprise then they used yards to describe string in a kit from the US.
Lol I think it’s the same in the UK too. If you go in to a haberdashery shop they display the cost per length in yards and meters. I’ll often buy three yards of elastic but a meter of fabric. 😄
It’s also measured in yards in Mexico 🇲🇽☺️ My mom is a seamstress and my whole life I had always known measurements for sewing related materials as such.

Pretty sure fabric is still measured in yards here in Canada too, but I could be wrong. Haven't purchased it in years.
Sika was right about the iron, when fusing items with an iron never move it back and forth (you risk something shifting) only press and hold and lift, repeat for entire surface.
That's not true, I've never used yards in my life.... we only measure things in football fields 👀😅

A yard is a freedom unit that measures just about a meter, lol. Further proof we should just go metric like the rest of the world.

We Americans use yards to round out the measurements of textiles. When we have an amount of fabric cut at the store. For example you would ask the worker to cut off a yard of fabric.

I've noticed that too!😲 I did manage to find sticky gems after going to like 3 dollar stores, but yeah... Canada does seem to have better stores overall,😥 lets just be glad we don't have to pay Canadian pricing. 🤑🥶
