- In this video, I show how to build an Automatic Wool Farm in Minecraft 1.21! (Tutorial)
This Wool Farm is very easy to build and super efficient. It will give you lots of wool per hour!
The list of materials required to build this farm is easy to obtain and is shown at the beginning of the video.
This Farm works on Java edition in version 1.21 and below. I did not test it on the Bedrock edition.

This is how all minecraft tutorials should be, no long and loud obnoxious intros, no talking bla bla for 5 minutes... just straight to the point, nice and easy! Thank you and do more!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate your feedback 🙌
subbed purely for that. nice job :)
Same!
Awesome that this vid is short and no yapping or anything just straight to the point Ima build this farm rn
We just put a new wool farm on our world, got an abundance of every color. Love how the run themselves. We made a ton of sheets.
Awesome Vid. Thank you for sharing 🤗👍😁❤✌🤗
Eheh nice, a farm like this one or a different design? I would like to know if it works in bedrock.
Thank you so much!! 🙂
@@TrilomsMC hey it actually works on bedrock!!!
I have 5 of these set up and in an hour I got 210 wool (bedrock 1.20)
Good tutorial! Im gonna build more. Im gonna have 5 white wool farms and then atleast 1 of every other colour
Short and simple thanks
so i builted 3 and yesterday i builted 3 today and it so OVERPOWERD MY FIRST AND SENCOND ONE HAVE OVER A STACK IN TWO DAYS! i love this tutorial!
How do make it faster
@@Anderson3t9 The only way to make it faster is to add more or increase random tick speed sadly, i think.
Theese are tthe types of minecraft tutorials we need!! Short intro where you only say necesary things, andgetting straight to the point
Gained a new subscriber bro😊

THX bro you are life saver🔥🔥you earned new sub🗿
Thanks broski 🙌
Thanks!
Welcome!
I play one the 360, and it's hilarious to me that I ALWAYS forget about observers. Still new to me, maily because of how the creative menu works
We love your content keep it up
Thanks a lot!! I appreciate it 😀
Hi, is this possible underground with a grass attached to the 1 block square the sheep is designated to be in? It has worked twice I think but it takes time for the grass to grow back. Does this work best under the sun or is the minecraft scripting technically identifying that dirt block as connected to the whole grass so "all good and sunny"?
Perfect design!
Glad you like it!
Obrigado pelo tutorial, isso vai me ajudar a encontrar netherites!
you earned a subscriber
Thank you 🙂
Very simple but very good!
Glad you like it!
How often would you meed to replace the shears?
Edit: 9 Shears is plenty enough and some to fill a double chest.
just add a hopper with a barrel and fill it up
Now this is what you call a tutorial, you just gained a new subscriber for not yappin around!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Wow nice design.
Thank you so much
How long does it take for the sheep to eat the grass? been sitting for like 2-4 minutes and barely eats
I try building one for each color and I AM GOING CRAZY trying to bring the sheep into the slots
Dude are you fr? 56 second tutorial. you are THE BEST ❤❤❤❤
Thanks buddy ❤️
Hey my wool farms is really slow i make like 1 wool of the sheep every two minecraft days can u help?
very efiicient and decorative
😃🙌
amazing
If it's not working you might have mob griefing off. Turn it on and it should work
What is mob griefing??
Thanks bro I really need this for netherite
How does this help for netherite?
@@arcondpvp I mean I need it to get netherite in nether
@@aidiljr2553 oh with beds I see
@@arcondpvp wow fast reply
Спасибо огромное!
Still works to today for Bedrock 1.21 (June 24, 2024)
It always throws me off when nice easy beginner-ish farms like this need an observer, which needs nether quartz. The one outlier
Can i put two sheeps?
You should do a turtle egg farm
Thanks for the suggestion! I will add it in my list 😋

The problem I’m having is once the sheep eat the grass it won’t grow back. I have 3 next to each other. I also made another one further to see if that was the problem but it’s still not working
I’m also having this problem did u figure it out?
Make sure there is enough light. Especially if you made this underground like I did, you need as much light as possible and grass in all the adjacent blocks. Hope this helps~ @@spadej6453
perfect tutorial
Thank you!!
Works amazing i let it sit for like 7 hours i got 2 and a half stacks of wool
Bruh that's so long I need 2 and a half stacks rn. A regular sheep farm with fences is better than this afk farm. And more effective
@@danielstriegel660 I only built one thats why.
Does it work on Playstation and without the grass block? I mean, using the earth block. I'm on survival and I'm suffering from this, lmao
The hopper minecrart is not picking up the wool
I'm having the same issue
Make sure minerail is placed properly
Try breaking the rail under the hopper Minecart he didn’t show this but most farms don’t work unless you break the rail
You have to do it EXACTLY like him, block by block. I tried to pre-dig the holes and then set it up and it wouldn’t work. -bedrock-
Is that works on 1.20.4?
How does wool get to the chest if theres dirt? It dosent go thru block
Thanks! I need this to make beds for ancient debris :p
Glad I could help!
This is gonna make finding netherite so much easier🙏
one suggestion i would ask if if we can do this without observers :)
Quando te ouvi a falar, vi logo que eras português hahahahahaha +1 subscriber
Ahah fui apanhado 😆
Obrigadão!!
It works on Bedrock, PS5, Java, and it's really slow on pocket ed but it works
I dodnt do anything wrong but it is not automatically cutting the wool?
put shears in the dispeaner
Try naming the sheeps
You have to shear them the first time then it does it itself
i built it but is this auto it does do it by it self?
im gonna do a 16 sheep farm with a rail system running underneath each sheep to pickup drops (to save on resources) and then have that do a water elevator/dropper clock into a chest on the upper floor of my barn
the problem is the grass
I set up 10 of these to fund my Netherite mining expedition in the nether, works incredibly well, ended up with 12+ stacks while passively running at my base. My only critique/suggestion is to add something like glowstone or torches around the cages, since the grass won't spread if it gets dark, meaning it won't run at night.
A quick question, my sheep eat their grass, any thoughts on why it wont regrow. Because if it does not regrow the sheep wont regrow wool. Any solutions?
@@awkitten9086 Make sure you have a light source, and make sure any blocks between the grass blocks are transparent, like glass. I surrounded the sheep in pure glass, put a glowstone above each sheep cell, and mine ran 24/7.
do I really need a minecart with Hopper? wouldn't that give major lag issues?@@Connor_Tyler
minecart with hopper keeps disappearing, any help?
If you want less lag. Put hoppers and chest instead of minecarts. I'm on a really old server and I do everything to minimize lag.
Im sorry, but what do you mean??
@oelewapperigeaardappeltjes7438
I'm pretty sure he means to use a hopper instead of mineart hopper.
Even when not visually moving. The game's code expects it to move, so it's always running in the background. Thus causing lag.
i thought only hopper minecarts could pick up items through blocks
@toasty00000
Thankfully No.
Hoppers can pick up items through mud, any slab, water, and snow blocks. However, I have had issues with using snow blocks.
But for this, you will need to use minecart hoppers as you need the grass blocks for the sheep to eat.
@@sespideris this farm for bedrock only? Cuz the hopper and minecart with hopper is not collecting any items that I drop to the dirt
The redstone doesn’t seem to be working for me 😢
It doesnt cut the sheep can someone help me
Edit : guys it work just set torch so the grass grow back and it will work (you need for the first time to cut the sheep and it will work)
Can u help me?? My cuts when I put the torch, but only once, I left the torch there, and for it to cut again I need to take the torch out and put in again, do u have any idea what the problem is??
Guys does this work on Bedrock Edition? I've been trying it but It hasn't produced wool in an hour. I know the Descripting says "I did not test it in the Bedrock Edition" but I need some answers please. Am I doing something wrong? and also the sheep just refuses to eat the grass.
Yes I play on Xbox and it works for me.
@@solarjudgement4575 yep I figured it out. the observer was facing the wrong way!
@@Weirdmouseguywhich way it gotta face
@@zayga1939 any way, I fixed my thing
It just won’t sheer the sheep?
are you using a dropper
make sure the observer is facing the correct way
Not sure why but the wool isn’t going through the hopper for me:(
for some reason when i build the farm the grass at the bottom for the sheep gets eaten and never grows back, so it doesnt gain its coat. idk how to fix this
It has to have adjacent grass for the grass to spread back to the underneath the sheep. This also means you need the appropriate light levels for grass to grow and spread, as well as non solid blocks surrounding the sheep like glass per the tutorial this creator provided.
For the people who's hopper minecart is not collecting the wool, do not break the rail under the minecart
+1 subscriber
It works but it wont go in the chest 😢 when i break the hopper its inside 😢
does it have to be above ground? i have mine underground and it doesn’t work
It should also work underground if you have grass there.
built the farm as in the video, but the dispenser fails, any explanations as to why?
Is the observer where it’s supposed to?
can you make this underground??
Not working in 1.20.1
When i do this sheep wont get cut idk why in creative it works but in sirvival it wont
Same problem
i did 10 of these in one line and they seem to produce little to no wool (each sheep ~32 wool per hour). does someone know why?
are you keeping the farm in render distance? Also make sure the grass the sheep are eating is surrounded by more grass blocks so it grows back quicker
have a problem where the when the sheep eats the grass doesn't become dirt so its not working
Turn mob griefing off
Maybe not 100% related, but I wondering how to fix the problem of wool in marshroom inland?
The grass wont grow back once it was eaten by a sheep 😢
grass doesnt grow back in mushroom island
@@Royal23458 oh I know how to fix it now, grass will grow back when it is surrounded by grass block, though it's slower 🥲
Does this work Bedrock 1.21?
it works omg tsm
You are welcome! 😉
I did this and it only dispenses sheers when it eats the grass, is there a reason?
Use dispencer not dropper
It’s not working for me
For your info, this works on bedrock too.
my wool stays on the ground???
I think this farm is only for bedrock. Because when I tried too in java the cart with hopper didn't collect the items I drop. I tested it.
@@Its_JoshZzz it worked for me on java , was the hopper not faceing the chest
@shitytra9139 it doesnt work for me
Soooo why dosent my rail face that way
mine was working now it just stopped working im so sad 😭
When my sheep eats the grass it doesn’t cut it, any reason why?
Mob griefing i guess
Just built it all got all 16 colors and realized I used droppers 😂 think I'm done for the night
😅😅
It won’t let me place the railroad track
Crouch to place it
Hi guys i have a problem i did how it shows in video bit it only trows and don't cut wool , how to solve this problem? Can you help me?
Same here
just make a string farm and convert it in wool and the string farm is more efficient
would two sheep per slot be any faster?
no
So when the sheep eats the grass, ot puts my sheers in the Hopper instead of shearing the sheep??
Are you using a dispenser or a dropper? Cause you need a dispenser
For me the shears keep getting put in the chest with no wool. Anything i’m doing wrong?
You have to put the hopper minecart under the grass block, not the dispenser.
Make sure you are using dispenser and not the dropper
Do we only need one shear
according to another tutorial you can use only one but adding more will make it last longer. will work with one but you’ll need to replace it when the shear breaks i assume
anyone know if it works on bedrock?
