I would like to see that Amazon radio if you could upload it on your UA-cam , maybe I’ll be shock as you if it’s somewhat similar to my radio👌🏽 please keep us updated when you upload it
@@JessyWorld I commented before watching the entire video. Some of it is similar. My Amazon radio also uses ZLink for wireless CarPlay but your has more options and features.
@@dmsndy looks like a pretty good radio 👌🏽it might not be similar to Linkswell but sure has it similarities , keep us updated on how responsive and reliable your device is since I’ll be making an update video on the Linkswell radio
@@JessyWorld I’m not expecting much for $150😂. I came to your video because I’m looking to upgrading the one in my 14 Silverado. I just don’t want to spend that much😬
Your video is the reason I just ordered this gen 5 unit from the same place you did, clean and took Chevy out of the equation for the stereo stuff, my original just recently went blacked out! Thanks for uploading
Jessy awesome video, you almost have me convinced to buy one! Lol Can you do a video focused on audio adjustability (if features are available)like eq, high pass filters, subwoofer controls, and touch on sound quality with the radio vs factory? Thanks brotha. Saludos from Texas!
I have the Gen4+ from linkswell on F150. So far there are pros and cons. i had mine in for almost a year. I had issue with bluetooth and then used a custom firmware. It worked for a while, but now the same issue. Overall from coming from the stock 4in dash to the android tablet it still good. If you know how to add headrest screen with a good video please make a video. Mine has hdmi output, but havent seen any support hdmi with a good screen. Also trying to hook up a xbox or get videos on usb to play on trip with the family. Good video let me know if you want more info on the firmware. I did my install myself.
I think I hooked it up the same way. Between this video and the instructions manual on linkswell. I have no camera signal though. Hooked the RCA up to the face camera input. I see lines that move with the steering wheel but not the camera view. Also what usb do I use to plug my phone in to support Apple CarPlay? The spare one under the dash? I’m in menifee thanks bro
I had a "professional" install mine but I had to reinstall it afterward. It's really not that difficult. Fortunately, the "professional" did hook up the steering wheel controls and the GPS sensor properly - not so much with the mic. Just a few fixes on my end but, dang, this can be done in a day, properly, with a bit of patience. When I saw you getting under the glove box, I figured you guys are way ahead of my installer, as I had to correct that on my own. Still, once installed properly, it's awesome!
@@JessyWorld Mine are already hooked up, one of the things my installer got correct. I was thinking of yours. Did you get the steering wheel controls hooked up yet?
@@MikeBMW it all function properly 👍🏽 the gen 5 had an easy connection to wire the steering wheel , if you look at the video it’ll show you the location where to plug , hope the video helps you out
good afternoon, connect one almost the same but it continues to connect to the original interface of my silverado and no sound is heard that could be connected wrong
couple questions, can you use the car play usb cables from the center console or did you have to connect with a usb cable hanging from your dash? Can you use the factory back up camera hookup so you can still see when you turn the wheel the lines move with you or do you have no choice but to use the yellow RCA cable for your backup camera? How well does the HVAC controls work? And can you turn off the military time and change it to 12 hour time like most people use. Last question, does all your audio stuff still display on the cluster still? I thought I read that it doesn't.
Unfortunately you have to use the usb to connect directly to CarPlay , when I connect to my console the radio sends a message to connect to their connection for CarPlay , the back up camera function the same just the lines guide is thru their program (personally I didn’t like how they looked so I just disabled them ) yes you can change military to 12 hour time , plus if you phone has that set then it’ll automatically put 12 hour time thru CarPlay , the audio music won’t display on the cluster since you’re removing the computer that powers the oem radio (that’s the o my downfall I have with the unit ) but overall worth every penny
Can you put a video of the a/c i have dual a/c and would like to see how that works before ordering. Also i can just use my phone as a hotspot for netflix and everything?
reading the reviews and manufacturer's FAQ's. says the Chevy version does not support Sirius/XM radio. thought I heard you say that you were looking to retain satellite radio. does your satellite radio work?
Have you installed this type radio in a Silverado with the Bose system? I have and the rear speakers aren’t working. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue
@@Stop_the_cap311 definitely the Gen 5 Linkswell promotes that they have the updated cables to easily connect to the Bose system, I don’t have much info about the Gen 4 Linkswell but heard a lot of complaints on that model
Question: If you have the Bose system, when you upgrade to this, you have to use their “Bose Bypass Kit.” Does this make the factory subwoofer stop working?
When I bought it from ADC mobile website , it’ll tell you on the page that the gen 5 should have all the connections ready for you and also it gave me options to put add-ons in case I had more stuff to function well with the radio
Planning to get that stereo, but my truck doesn’t have the seat warmer where can I get those at because the stereo comes with those little holes left and right
Awesome install, Henry knows his shit and does clean installs. I do have a question if you know. I have the Bose system, I know Henry showed the wires for the Bose but can you confirm the Bose system will work or if I need to buy something extra to make it work. Thanks
No need to buy extras , the radio came with all the cables if I had the Bose system , like I mentioned before once everything is done with wiring , don’t forget to go to the settings to let the system know you have dual climate control and Bose system so it could identify everything in your truck 🛻
