Camels.
Yes, seriously. Mamelukes don't actually have an anti-camel bonus, just anti-cav, but since camels don't actually have that armor class... And camels DO have a specific anti-mameluke bonus.

​@@victoriencharnot555true, however, you need good gold. I spammed an ungodly amount of camels against a dude with over 200 mamlukes but it didn't matter since he had plenty of troops to counter the camels besides that.

Generically, it would be mangonel and yeah arbalesters. If you want specific hard counter it would be boyars or gurjara's camels.

Well, in theory arbalests would be considered one of the typical counters to mamelukes, due to their range and the fact that mamelukes don't have great armor. They'll still get shredded in equal numbers once the mamelukes can close the distance, but if you've got a halb meat shield in front it can be pretty effective. Then this video is a subversion on that theory by just splatting them using onagers. :P
