I’m currently reading Misery and I really wanna read Dolores Claiborne after. I just learned that Stephen King wrote Dolores Claiborne with Kathy Bates in mind because of how good she was at Annie Wilkes, which is so cool to me.

Really cool January Read list! Definitely interesting. My best recommendation for sleep that has helped me (besides all the given and normal advice) is to listen/do even a 5 minute “before bed” or “sleep” meditation. Soo helpful and easy to replicate mentally when you need to if you wake up in the middle of the night. I know a wedding planner in California, if you’re interested. I can’t imagine the stress of looking for a house and planning a wedding at the same time! But we are here for you and I’m glad your booktube bubble can be your escape! Can’t wait to see your next twitch stress either ☺️💙

I bought a house in March 2020 and it was by far the most stressful experience of my life. My biggest tip is to write a cover letter! For the offer we got accepted for I wrote a letter telling our story and why we wanted their house and attached a photo of my boyfriend and our dog. They said they loved it and none of the other offers did that! For weddings - look into in all-inclusive resort destination wedding! I am getting married next year in the Dominican Republic. If you feel like it wouldn't be too big of a burden on your friends and family, the wedding itself is actually so cheap. It's complimentary with our stay for 30 guests. Any more guests it's like $10 an extra person. Then you can upgrade for things you care about like the reception and decor. Even the drinks and food is a part of the all incisive package you get with your stay.

If I ever get married it will be so simple. A nighttime wedding in a backyard. Simple white dress, string lights (white), simple white flowers. The rest I'd splurge on food and drinks for my guests. I think that would be so lovely.

I got married right at the beginning of the pandemic, so we ended up doing a super simple event that we planned in just a few days and only had like a dozen people in attendance.

So excited for your wedding. I had a lovely backyard wedding 2 years ago. Our friends planned everything for us and it was super sweet. It was potluck style so every guest brought a dish to share and we had plenty food to go around.

One recommendation i have for wedding decorations! I bought some old books in bad shape for cheap from the goodwill and used the pages to make paper roses and they looked so cool! That may be a way to make bouquets affordable! 😁❤

Good luck with the house hunt and congrats on your engagement!!! Our area’s market is a revolving door with too high offers. We just closed on a house Monday after a 2 year hunt. You don’t want to go too high if you’re getting a mortgage because the house will need to appraise or it could be a delay.

Good luck looking for a home! It will be worth it. I bought a new home at the end of 2020. I looked for over a year and I was so tired of looking at listings.
    Congrats on the engagement!

We've been wanting to get a house the past year as well and its been so discouraging! We get so excited about a home, only to find out we were outbid. Good luck to you though! I hope you get this house you most recently put an offer in on.
I'm wanting to up my Stephen King this year and am currently halfway through 11/22/63 and have Dolores Claiborne planned for later!

I highly recommend Smoke Gets In Your Eyes on audiobook. It’s narrated by Caitlin and is such an easy and enjoyable listen!

I do warn you that if you decide to pick up more of Sayaka Murata's work, her next most popular book Earthlings has some VERY hard trigger warnings related to child abuse, sexual assault, and uh....cannibalism that go places. I do like her work in general but she definitely takes a tonal shift there.

I feel you on a house. We have been looking for 2 years. Crazy high prices on places that are terrible. Great month for books! I love that you read a Stephen King every month. I always love his books but don't prioritize them like I should!

Love the way you edit your videos. Good luck with the wedding planning and house shopping! The market where I am (in Utah) has been just insane lately.

Those were awesome January reads. Me, personally, I'm more of a Tolkien/Lewis Carroll type. Anyone a fan of fantasy here?

I love ask a mortician and her books! Have you tried writing a letter to summit with your offers? My friend just bought a house and she wrote a letter (changing small things per house but had a format) on what the house would mean to her and starting her family. Good luck!

My husband and I got married last year in our living room. My sister got ordained and married us. It was small and perfect (family attended virtually). If you wanted to have more people attend in person, maybe check out a park and do a wedding there?

House hunting is tough. Having the right realtor is key. Someone smart who will advocate for you. 🏡
Magnesium before bed helped my entire family. Megafood is the only brand we trust for magnesium. (2-3pills) Calm (mag drink) is another form to take mag. My mom likes to chew raw honeycomb before bedtime.🍯

Just when I think I know all about Stephen King books, you name one that I've never heard of. I'm adding Dolores Clairborne to my list of SK books to read one day now.
