- The definitive guide to tanking as a rogue in Season of Discovery classic wow! We will cover Rogue tanking runes, rogue tanking rotation, rogue tanking talents and more! (Sheesh that was keyword heavy)
what an utter wealth of knowledge you're imparting without use of a single word
Should note the attack speed and threat gen from the gloves is on a 10 min cd.
Personally I run saber slash as the 10% parry seems irrelevant atm, and it's more dps with a dot that helps keep threat.
Good video overall.
I think the same, have a dot in a target is great for threat gen. Otherwise, BFD has much more casters than parryable bosses
Are you still running the same? I don't want to do all the work if that 10% parry at this level isn't worth. Thanks!
@@Squeebop yep, most fights are dps check. Saber slash is way better than 10% parry
@@Squeebop So depending on your healers/group you can literally go full DPS build as a rogue now and just pop on Blade/Flesh/Saber runes and you're set. I'm currently built for daggers PVP with 2 points in improved sprint (for snare removal), and I can tank no problem in BFD with how easy it is now. Can do the same as assassin build now too. In terms of Main Gauche we don't need it, never really did - not for current content.
I go for precision in the talent tree. I hit mobs more and better and i got the feeling i hold the threat better with it
Definitely like your elvui setup, would like to see a guide for it, and maybe a "how to fine tune" guide in general, elv ui these days is so confusing with all the features.
Heya! I have an add on video that walks you through my setup for elvui and all other addons I use :)
A trick I used in classic was bombs and immolation pots. Small AoE dmg but puts you on threat table until you get control of a pack and not nearly as frantic tagging.
Just discovered rogue tank spec owns warriors and paladins in duels and triggers them pretty hard lol
I think you’re better off to only use 1CP with BD. You just don’t get much benefit beyond it, and stacking points for SnD will help out more in the long run.
saber slash is better double dip on threat bonus with the bleed
Since you seem to barely have enough combo point for slice&dice, would dual dagger (rapid weapons) streamline aggro on mob packs?
I think saber slash might be preferable to main gaughe
how come
it is for sure!
way more damage
Also being able to tab to a 2md target and put a bleed on them means ur still generating threat when u tab off.
Yeah I tanked BFD using primarily saber slash, but swapped to main gauche for Akumai. Also keeping slice and dice up as much as possible is really important. That's something I don't think he even mentions. 1 point blade dance and then 2 point slice and dice is my preferred opener. With saber slash you're at 3 stacks at that point too. He's also running in, tagging mobs and then not using the combo points. Should be starting blade dance and slice and dice on those tags.
Where to get the addon?
