What a powerful true testimony! I’m a 77 year old widow and never had an abortion or ever even considered having one when I was younger but my daughter had two and I’ve seen the anguish she has suffered from doing that. I’m a born again Christian as is my daughter and I’m so thankful for. The testimony of this woman! We are not Catholic but we serve the same wonderful God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. As a fully grown man, I wept like a baby. I have never felt manlier for doing so, for there is not man worth his salt that would not move heaven and earth to protect someone in such need.

Hi, I had an abortion when I was 19 and I am now 62. I think Patricia's testimony has helped me to want to do the Rachel's Vineyard Retreat, even though I feel that I have had healing at various points throughout my life. I think I could still benefit from more healing. I also pray the Rosary of the Unborn and have done so for over ten years already, which has also helped in my healing. I used to support & justify abortion too, now I do not. It is not for religious reasons, but logic and consistent ethical & legal principles.
My legal position is more nuanced (but still the same as other legal killing, no special exception), but I personally never act to justify or support killing of another human, and I think it is her rare that a fully aware person would, without being strongly pressured too by outside co-ercive force or using the avoidance of fear to justify anything.

I probably differ from you, in that I consider Responsibility to be more important than Rights in all areas of politics and life.
And I consider Women and Men to be equal in responsibility.
Like in all killing (esp legal), there are often emotionally understandable reasons why people do it. Jus like with all the things I have ever done wrong. That doesn't mean I am a victim without responsibility, if I am an adult.
There is also no bad outcome from keeping or giving away the baby compared to killing it.
Ex Abortionists actually acknowledge that as false - aborting him/her usually is a worse outcome.
This is also the same issue for any ethical issue: people will still kill or harm themselves or others, even if it is illegal.
The issue is "when should killing be legal? Where do you draw the line? What is your answer?

I have dear friends who have Aborted their baby before birth, supported their partner doing it and also almost done it.
Like anything else issue, I can be honest & ethical about it even though I can't relate to the person committing the offense, and still have compassion for why someone would do it.
Though I feel I can relate & understand most destructive acts that humans do to some degree, even if I don't have the exact same problem.
We humans tend to do bad things when we are terrified or overwhelmed and would do anything to avoid it. That is universal.

I dont think this relates to abortion but will research further to better understand the context surrounding this.

We need to educate young people about the risk of unsafe sex, the high health risk of STDs and unwanted pregnancy. Safe sex is needed to be learned to prevent unwanted pregnancies and contracting STDs.

PRAY, this is what I did while working for an agency for single mom's and we were not allowed to speak to anyone re abortions, either for or against it. One of my clients wanted me to go with her to a Clinic to have an abortion, I started praying from the moment she asked me to go.
I was sick to my stomach the while there, as it was, the place was crowded and they told us it was going to be a little while longer so we went for coffee and I could see she was terrified and not so sure of going through with this.
The whole time there I PRAYED she wouldn't go through with it...she ended up walking back into the clinic and as soon as he walked in, yelled I can't do this and we left.
This was a very shy and meek person, who God gave the strength to do the right thing. After she had her beautiful baby girl and I was able to tell her how I prayed she thanked me over and over again, even years later.
Can't help but feel I was born to save this dear little one's life and her mother from making a terrible decision that she would regret for the rest of her life. So PRAY, PRAY, PRAY.

This is one of the worst things I have ever listened to and watched. This sounds like it came straight out of hell. This is so sad, I am a 62-year-old man and always known that abortion was a violation of a mans right to be a father. So I always knew that it's also a mans issue as well. The saddest part of this is all the little babies who were slaughtered. God have mercy on our Nation.

Thank you for sharing your story and being the voice of the unborn. I have a part of my heart that is reserved for these innocent little beings and I also speak up amongst family and friends whenever I can to whomever wants to hear the truth. I also try to help women who want to keep their babies but can't afford everything for their child. I feel called to search around within my community and find the items the mom may need and or buy them some of the things that I can afford. @ on this day and age a good men won't marry even if he finds a good woman because the marriage law is written purposely to screw him over.
Take this anecdote for example. If they had been married,
Patricia's friends would still have talked her into having an abortion using the same arguments (being young, talented and career oriented).
Patricia would still have had 3 abortions and lied about it.
She would still flee the city and not tell anyone. Not only the husband would be left without any legal option to seek her. If he ever reported her missing he would instantly become the prime suspect.
Patricia would still dissappear and get into drugs for 3 years and have a drug boyfriend. The only difference is that by now the husband would be in jail waiting for trial over the possible murder of Patricia.
Marriage used to mean protection for both, now it only means legal obligations for the men.

He wanted to be baptized 2 yrs ago, and we did it. He wants to be a pastor now, and I tell him he can spread the word of God as Christ is with him.
