A super league is asinine, it destroys everything that CFP is about. That's why the NCAA tournament is so big, is because of the chance of a Cinderella story and the drama of it. How is it good for college sports to see the same top teams over and over again? It would get stale. You need the teams like a TCU that knocked off a blue blood team in Michigan to keep the best aspects of the sport alive and keep it interesting.
Everyone loves an underdog story, why completely remove it? Even with a super league when all the top brands have all the money, they are still going to want more money even when they have it all. So whats the point?
What Rich is alluding to with licensing the university logo and trademark already exists. The university hospital model is the blue print for athletics. Just replicate that model which is simply we run the business and license your university logo. We run it independently so you don’t have to. The university system understands the hospital business/licensing model so that familiarity should make it an easy sell to schools and easy to execute etc.
Wonder how they do a salary cap with 60 teams with 100 players on a roster. There's gonna be tiers or something.
I see the B10 and SEC merging and adding who they want from everyone else. Let the teams schedule who they want and set up rules to qualify for the playoffs. Conferences are irrelevant.
