Hi again Troels & CO! I have to admit that I've developed a serious addiction to the Soundpaint videos, and as soon as there's another one out there I just can't resist watching. Each and every new video blow my mind. I never could've imagined that I should be so flabbergasted and amazed by a demo of an 808 library. I mean what more could there possibly be to discover?! How surprised I was to realize that the longer into this video I came I actually started to feel things - to have emotions about this instrument. I was as amazed as you, and I'm sure many others, by just listening to the hand-clap, the snare drum and toms being repeated again and again and again. For the first time in the history of my music making career the 808 sounded alive and truly interesting. It struck me that from now on a loop will never again just be a loop, it will change and develop infinitely, forever. How much more enjoyable and interesting for the brain when no single note, sample or tone will ever be repeated in an entire song...when each song will continue to have its own uniqe sounds, even though the same set of instruments are used. It's hard to fathom exactly what this will mean. Making and listening to digital music will never be the same again, and I think that we will be able to enjoy the whole process in ways that we never did before. Is there a way to describe this game changing piece of new musical universe? I don't know...Nothing sounds like Soundpaint - Not even Soundpaint. (if that makes sense). / Daniel My goodness...Soundpaint just went live and the Own it all bundle is only $300!!! The expression "no brainer" just got a new meaning. :)
Thank you Daniel! I think it is special too. It also took many months to make, but I think its worth it. This unit is finally preserved and updated in a way that brings it into the sonic spotlight it always deserved (Troels). 909 next!
@@Soundpaintmusic I totally agree Troels. And to be able to isolate the goodies from this masterpiece and make entierly new instruments from it is a music creator's dream. I really look forward to the 909 as well as the other upcoming libries. Today's mission will be to go get the All in bundle and download all the libraries. A great day to all of you! / Daniel
One of the first 808s ever made went to Yellow Magic Orchestra who were friends with Roland folks, their album Technodelic features it prominently, and this was one of the first albums to have this sound… and also one of the first albums that used samples (a fully custom sampler made custom, not any of the samplers people eventually used). It’s also one of my top albums of all time. 😉
If you could implement an arpeggiator PER PART, it would be the ultimate sequencing dream! You could have a beat on the 808, and separate bass, synth, and guitar patterns going at once!! Would that be too difficult to implement? Thanks for your great work, Troels!!
Thank you so much for this beautiful 808 or should I say 808’s at such a great price but also the GUI you give away free is a real piece of art THANK YOU, Native Instruments should be looking over their shoulder
I am more into acoustic instruments and orchestral. So I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with more acoustic instruments in the future. But what’s been shown so far has been inspiring, so maybe I’ll be looking outside my comfort zone. Also, I'm a pianist, so I'm excited to try the Free 1928, but am also interested in having more piano options available. The level of control with velocities really is interesting to me.
Two different things. This is UDS (Ultra Deep-Sampling). 16.000 Real-Time Samples + 25 Deep-Sampled variations sampled through a massive chain of analog hardware. The clap alone sampled over 1000 times.
I never tire of saying it, this is going to be glorious, one question, the hybrid cinema slams and booms of the palindrome video, ¿are they part of hybrid emotions or palindrome, or are they from a different future expansion? Thanks
It feels like we are hanging out with you through those sounds, I could watch those videos for hours!
Thank you Nicolas! You know I feel the same about you! (Troels)
@@Soundpaintmusic i don't see the interface or virtual control panel for the device
or if you showed it it doesn't look like an 808
You're a treasure, Troels. Can't wait for SP tomorrow.

@@swedishvoice Humbling. Thank you once again for appreciating the depth and entirety of this crazy project!

Just wow. Really im looking forward. This one have really massive sound. Wow
Right?! One could write a soundtrack with this unit alone. It is that diverse!
I CANNOT wait for the Juno!!!!
Can't wait to share it with you. It purrs so sweetly.
Just bloody awesome. The sound is really something else, and hats off on the marketing too. Great promotional art and such casual, human demo videos.
Thank you!

What a piano...! I like the 1928 already.
You are having way too much fun recording these demos. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
What would you like next Chris?

@@lifeismusic9411 We have 10 pianos more or less complete and many more in production. Grands, Uprights, Felts, Antiques, Prepared, you name it.
Absolutely incredible!! I'm so looking forward to playing with this and creating some music!
Soundpaint: the future of nostalgia! In a good way!
The Future of Nostalgia. Love it! Can we borrow that?!
@@Soundpaintmusic Take it, it's a gift!
@@BF-up5xw Thank you!
Must buy for me. But please tell me you're gonna do some other drum machines as well: 909, LinnDrum etc.
I've got the D16 nepheton, Roland's soundcloud emulation, the audiorealism , and yet I am still interested in having this library! :P
Two different things. This is UDS (Ultra Deep-Sampling). 16.000 Real-Time Samples + 25 Deep-Sampled variations sampled through a massive chain of analog hardware. The clap alone sampled over 1000 times.
When you put that natural variant at 32th notes. Damn.... that is smooth
Exactly. It negates the single sample machine gun effect. Brain subtly detecting repetition. Just feels and sounds better in the music this way.
Will you sample LinnDrum with those great '80s toms? :)
Your Ending Part with the Shimmer on the Kick, clearly shows that Soundpaint will bring a complete new Level of sonic complexity 😎😋
I watched Simeon Amburgey's playthrough of the Rhodes, now I'm thinking I need this 808 pack and the Commodore pack. This is wild
This is not an 808 .This is GREAT :p
You are GREAT-OH-EIGHT TOO!
@@Soundpaintmusic Next week I'll start dealing with this because if I do now I'll never finish the current project :P
Fantastic!!
So good !!!
I never tire of saying it, this is going to be glorious, one question, the hybrid cinema slams and booms of the palindrome video, ¿are they part of hybrid emotions or palindrome, or are they from a different future expansion? Thanks
The slams are coming (very) soon. They are an individual library - appropriately called: "SLAM!"
"What the hell?" --- Says everything right there :)
I might have missed something. Can you play more than one drum sound at a time with the arp? Like bass and hi-hat? Thanks!
Absolutely! Most of the grooves in the arp are using more then one. The arp takes chords and single notes.
Is it possible to automate all parameters without assigning Midi controllers?
You can automate your DAW (using lanes) and/or by right clicking and assigning (ex. LFOs). But midi controller recommended.
