- Let's see how to solve a very popular question from JEE Mains 2021 exam ie. Find the value of cot 7 1/2 degree.
This question is asked many times in exams and such types of questions also have the probability of repeating in future exams.
This question of finding the value of cot 7 1/2 degrees can be easily solved using properties and formulas of trigonometry.
You must know formulas like cot thetha = (1 + cos (2 thetha))/(sin (2 thetha)) and value of cos 15 degrees and sin 15 degrees.
Then using this formula you can easily arrive at the answer.

sir I used cot2x=(cot^2x-1)/2cotx and find the value of cot7.5=2+√3+2√(2+√3) which interestingly equal to √2+√3+√4+√6.

sir I have a doubt in solving this q. I solved it by first finding tan7.5 degree by the formula tan2x=2tanx upon 1-tan^2 x. I took tan x as alpha and solved by equating it with 2- root 3 and the answer so root 3 where was I wrong?
