I'm trying to understand if my stock 3rd brake light works with bulbs or leds. It's an MK2 Leon 2011 with the thicker stock mirrors and thicker L/R rear stop lights so i assume that mine is a facelift (correct me if I'm wrong). To your knowledge, what should my stock 3rd stop light work with? bulbs or LEDs?
It's difficult to explain why I can't find that answer for myself, but suffice to say that removing it will destroy it (a lot of melted plastic there) and I can't destroy it until i get a replacement since this one is still lighting up partially (the left half of the bulbs/leds are out). So your input would be appreciated as it would help me select the correct aftermarket 3rd lamp or perhaps try to salvage the one that i have (salvageable only if it works with bulbs, obviously).

Also, and the real reason I'm in a rush to fix this problem, it's giving me a burnt bulb warning light on dash and since i only have one warning light for all the bulbs on the vehicle, I couldn't know if another, more important light goes out too
