If by “Save” they really meant “Remove Ourselves From” then yeah they totally saved rock and roll.

Save Rock And Roll: I’m the worst Fall Out Boy album.
Mania: Hold my beer.
American Beauty/ American Psycho: Am I a joke to you?
@@maxrock2939 As someone who just finished listening to FOB's full discography, AB/AP is easily the best post-hiatus FOB album. It's not as good as their pre-hiatus work, but it's not *boring* like Save Rock and Roll and MANIA. It actually managed to get me to pay attention.
All of these are really good albums, what's wrong with you
Young And Menace's chorus is more painful alone than seeing Genesis go down in quality after Duke.
@@filmishit agreed
"Girl, I heard you're 70% water, and I'm thirsty."
SO THAT'S WHERE THAT SLANG CAME FROM!
Yep, if you’re gonna go with that line, you’re definitely thirsty lol!
Yum she sounds tasty lol
My best pick up line:
Get in the van.
Oh.
i guess if it gets results its not a fluke
You forgot bitch at the end.
Bit
"Hey girl, are you Nine Inch Nails, cause I want to be closer to you"
+OneWingedDash OWD Nice.
Hey girl, are you like NIN? Cause I wanna break down your door
MY NAMA CHEF Hey girl are you like NIN because there is no you, there is only me
LMAO! Good one!
I love this
"Save Rock and Roll"
Talk about false advertising.
Seriously, Linkin Park was more "Rock and Roll" than this.
Actually Linkin Park do consider themselves as rock nowadays.
but even then they were metal. nu metal to be exact and tbh they were very good at it for their time.
+Matthew Cool
Eh, Linkin Park still sounds like rock, even if some of their more recent works weren't all that great (Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns, for example), plus they're more nu metal if anything.
Aiko Yumi not anymore....
Fall Out Boy's fanbase is legitimately terrifying.
I mean, I was part of it for two years, but still.
They literally dox you if you criticize the band lmao
"Save rock and roll."
It feels like it's a lot less rock and more roll in the money they received from sales.
Sales doesnt determine genre my guy
My best pick up line is
Hey girl,
I've got a gun
So get in the van
Luke, I think you misunderstood the title of the album. They're telling YOU, the listener, to "Save Rock and Roll". FOB had no intention of doing it themselves.
I've been trying with this channel for years!
In retrospect, after suffering thru Mania, SRAR is basically a masterpiece for reformed FoB.
Lol yeah
Regretting The Past: Green Day's Uno, Dos, Tre Trilogy?
I could see this happening...
To be fair, Uno, Dos, Tre is 3 meh albums. But they if you take the 12 between all the songs, you get one really good album.
That would be a pretty long video.
to be honest, after all these years, Green Day has earned a spot for me on a regretting the past. One of the first albums I truly regret growing up was American Idiot. The other thing I regret? Writing off A Perfect Circle's The Thirteenth Step. Man, I was dumb and immature back in the day.
coltsfan354 I love American Idiot
It my favorite album the guitar work is beautiful and same goes for the drums and base.
The song writing and story telling is superb.
But whatever to each his own
"We Love To Use Long Titles For Songs Because It Makes It Seems To Be Deep (When It's As Deep As A Kiddie Pool)"- Fall Out Boy, probably
This + Pete Wentz' appearance + overpromotion from greedy record labels = why Sell Out Boy is even famous
Are you a urologist? Because on a scale of 1-8...

Hey girl, Im not good at small talk but you can sit on my lap and we can see what comes up.
Girl, do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?
"Too bad there aren't other bands who leave rock and go to pop."
My God, how times have changed since then.
12:33 - "Is your last name 'Wi-Fi?' Because I feel like we have a strong connection"
My friend LOVES fall out boy, and he thinks METALLICA(one of my fav bands) is utter garbage......................................like i dont even know what to say at this point
some people just want to see the world burn
Anthony longoria I honestly like both bands, but I've never been picky about music, I like it all
imo they both suck, so to each his own i guess. And I am a pretty big fan of rock and metal.
I love FOB and Metallica for different reasons. Sue me.
Eh, I thought Metallica was okay. I like Rock, but I'm not really a big fan of heavy stuff.
I think Fall Out Boy wouldn't be as hated if their lyrics were actually cohesive and not Pete Wentz's free-verse "That sounds bitchy and edgy" journal writings.
Have you ever listened to Soul Punk by Patrick Stump? He's a pretty good lyricist. It'd be interesting to hear a FOB song written by him only if there isn't one already.
DH Or Whatever I think Pete holds this band down more than he should.
DH Or Whatever
Your probably right to some degree
There's much more cohesion on their first two records, mainly because Stump and Wentz were co-writing most of the lyrics at the time. But as they progressed Wentz ended up writing the majority of the lyrics and it's really exposed on Save Rock and Roll because he doesn't have heavier instrumentals to hide behind. I really hope at some point Stump will step in again and be like, "Ok Pete, nobody's said anything, but you need help" or they're just gonna keep rolling downhill.
Phillip Morgan you can almost tell which parts were written by who. I feel like Dead On Arrival probably had a lot of Stump input. Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy Tonight feels more like a Wentz song.
at least is better than the cover of the GhostBusters theme...
Best pickup line ever: Baby I'm no weather man, but you can expect a few inches tonight.
Saw that on a meme.
not many
Can't stop laughing 😂

The Tri-Force of shitty metalcore:
3.) Emmure
2.) Attila
1.) Asking Alexandria
+darkrage6 That's okay, I don't mind if you like them. I just no longer have interest in them. Though they've kinda gotten better after kicking Danny out.
BEST DECISION EVER!!! :P
add attack attack to that list
No more like:
Black Veil Brides
Bring Me the Horizon
Asking Alexandria
Demon Rantz BMTH is alright
I have no idea Emmure even existed.
There's that one line on "Miss Missing You" I just love personally. "The person that you take a bullet for is behind the trigger". It's just really pleasing to hear for me.
If you look in the dictionary, the word "ironic" has a picture of this album cover next to it
3:34 “This is still talked about as the Worst Fall Out Boy Album.”
Mania: “Allow Me to introduce myself.”
Is that Linkara singing in those live concerts? Man, what a twist.
'Save Rock and Roll' featuring Elton John is a beautiful song, great end to the album :) Can't believe they actually got Elton John to work with them, what a legend, his voice and piano sound amazing
There's a vocal sample in there that kinda sounds like Frieza from Dragonball Z, I'm pretty sure it repeats three times over the course of the song
....Fall Out Boy sound like Maroon 5 now, I've just realized.
But I still
Come to think of it... Maroon 5 would probably be a better fit than FOB for that 3rd spot of the Triforce of Whining.
Their first couple albums sounded a bit more like something a rock band would put out. Not saying they're great, but they at least sound kinda like rock. Pussified rock for sure, but you can hear actual instruments and everything.
Maroon 5 count as a band?
Least you can still tell Patrick and Pete are still close to their band mates while Maroon 5 just because the Adam Levine Show featuring 4 other dudes.
Sawbones Quad infinity on High isn’t that bad
As a pop and a rock fan I can enjoy a few songs as pop, but when I heard save rock and roll I was expecting something heavier. Probably why I like panic at the disco better. They don't lie about who they are
Neither did Fall Out Boy. The album was listed in the "Alternative" category, same as their other ones. You think because the title was "Save Rock and Roll" that they were advertising it as such, which is a poor mindset to have. Why is Knight Rider called Knight Rider. The car's name was KITT. Nobody rode Michael Knight. (Not on screen anyway. 😆) Point is, you can't judge something based on its title.
Regretting the Past: "Scars and Souvenirs" by Theory of a Deadman aka Nickelback Jr
TheDreReichDude Bad Girlflriend Is My Biggest Guilty Pleasure
you got your wish how does it feel
The self-titled debut is decent with a few songs I like but they've pretty much moved into becoming watered down Nickelback ever since Gasoline
Favorite pick up line:
"Girl if we were in a furniture store, I would brake all the furniture so you'd sit on my face."
That's how Courtney love sounds? She's so horrible that the guitar was crying for help.
I think that Guitar was way past the point of being able to get help. I can play guitar better....and I can't even play it. I'm still in the trying phase but I can't get my fingers to do chords....AT ALL.
"I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday" is almost a direct quote from "Me and Bobby McGee", written back in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
“Hey girl, will you be the Alice to my chains?”
“Hey girl, can I be the guns to your roses?”
There’s my rock band pickup lines.
"Hey girl, can I be the sound in your garden?"
Young Volcanoes: Fall Out Boys attempt at a car commercial song
Ben Brinton hahah 😂
In the music video for "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark" it shows people burning Fall Out Boy's early records. I guess that symbolizes how they completely detached themselves from rock, going into pop.
They did that because the didn't want people to compare their past to their future, hence the lyric in Immortals. As a musician you have to believe that what you're creating tops anything you've done prior, because if not, you might as well retire from making music and become a nostalgia act (cough cough Beach Boys)
As a Fall Out Boy fan, this was a really pleasant review actually. The Real Rock Fans™ can be really condescending and dickish about FOB (and especially towards their often young audience) and I think that's a major reason why the fans of the band get so defensive. However, you were very fair (as you generally seem to be) and I thank you for that.
I think "Save Rock and Roll" is an awesome album title. Especially from a polarizing band. It's clearly tongue-in-cheek and hyperbolic but it's so over the top and I love it.
Also I think the worst FOB album is AB/AP and even that is just like, fine and serviceable but kinda meh.
i'm also a fan of FOB and agree when it comes to AB/AP. i feel like half that album's song's all sound the same.
@@carleeelizabeth I wrote my original comment before Mania was released which is to say that I have a new least favourite FOB album these days lmao, AB/AP is still a pretty boring album tho lol
I always found rock fans to be toxic tbh
@@carleeelizabeth They same could be said about From Under the Cork Tree. American Beauty might have similar sounding songs, but at least they sound enjoyable. Cork Tree just gives me a headache.
12:02 "I'd trade all my tomorrows for one yesterday" is actually a rip-off of a line from the song "Me and Bobby McGee" written by Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster and made popular by Janis Joplin. Yup.
Thanks for that. I came here to see if anyone had already pointed it out. 👍
Glad someone already said it
I totally agree. They're not bad. But they're definitely overrated.
Is the nonsensical lines entirely new, though? If I recall correctly, most of their lyrics were a tad nonsensical, lacking cohesion and overwhelming. . . This is just pushing that.
12:34 My best pick-up line:
"You are the Sun to my Moon; let's eclipse each other."
The word of the day is legs!
Let's go outside and spread the word.
Speaking of Fall Out Boy's lyrics...when I first heard Uma Thurman I swore up and down it was an intentional parody of how ridiculous and overwritten their lyrics could get. They had to know....they HAD to know.
regretting the past: Fall Out Boy's discography
My brain can't handle that request.
+Rocked In that case, take a look at some the Mega or Protomen's work. You know, something fun?
Alexander Sullivan from 2003-2008 there wouldn't be much to rip apart
not much but weak soulless commercial rock
Alexander Sullivan listen to cork tree or infinity on high
I only like the old Fall Out Boy. You know, "Dead on Arrival", "Thanks for the Memories", "This Ain't a Scene, it's an Arms Race", stuff like that.
This video was fun. I am a huge Fall Out Boy fan, and this video is a good reality check and I appreciate it. I agree that this isn't their best work, and I agree with everything that you said. I would like to know your thoughts on American Beauty/American Psycho though. Thanks for the video! Glad I subscribed months ago!
Personally I thought ABAP was a good album. Don't know why it's hated so much
Wait a minute
Alone Together? THAT'S A SONG BY THE STROKES
I'd pick Walk The Moon over Fall Out Boy any day!
& in an odd way, Paramore's self titled album is kinda the Save Rock And Roll in reverse. It has a few pop moments, but there's more color & variety to it. & there's some nice structure & catchy hooks in the guitars. & the drumming is pretty good too. Rhythm is what Paramore is best at. & that album came out the same year!!!
paramore tried the same thing, they just did it a lot better imo. they are pop rock in a truer sense imo
It still blows my mind how Paramore has gone from Misery Business, one of the most rage-inducing songs of the past decade, to their last album, which was pretty awesome. How does that even happen?
I fucking adore Walk The Moon. I don't dislike FOB (a few of their songs are good but i haven't listened to a ton), but I'd pick WTM any day. To me they've got the perfect blend of rock and 80's inspired pop without being cheesy. Their guitarist is very underrated. As for Paramore I agree. I heard a lot of fans trash Self-Titled but to me it's their strongest album.
Paramore's S/T brings a lot of poppy elements but it also brings in a lot of unique things like the weird mathy elements in "Pt II" or the cool little ukelele interlude tracks and frankly Hate To See Your Heart Break is a song i've had a good cry to. FOB's two pop "rock" albums are soulless
I like Misery Business, but it is a very catty song. I can see how it could inspire rage if you have a low tolerance for that sort of thing.
Our school choir sang "Light em up" last year at a recital. Easily the worst thing I had to sing that year.
Maybe you could do a RTP episode on Green Day's Uno, Dos, and Tres? Please?
darkrage6 many people consider that a masterpiece, so I doubt there's enough traction for an RTP
the trilogy may not be at par as their previous efforts, but its not as bad as these albums
Just check out The Rock Critic (Crash) video of Green Day, he absolutely trashes it, can't find anything remarkable or good about those 3 albums
YES
Them: Save Rock and Roll is fall out boy at their worst
MANIA: Hold my beer
Judging how he hates Courtney, somebody has to make Luke listen to a Hole record for RTP.
Coming back 4 years later: The first three Hole albums are great albums. IDK what to say about the Nobody’s Daughter album or Courtney’s solo album.
I really like Fall Out Boy, but I agree that Save Rock and Roll isn't all that great. So, I have no bias.
Here's what I think about the album:
1: I really like this song. Sure it's not quite "rock", but it's a pretty catchy song.
2: I liked this even more than "The Phoenix"
3: Eh, it's catchy, but not as good as the first two tracks.
4: It's alright, but the "Na-Na-Na" lyrics can get a bit repetitive at times.
5: This song was okay, even if the so-called "pick-up line" is pretty creepy. Not so much as Buckcherry, but still pretty creepy.
6: I didn't really like this song, all that much.
7: It's a pretty good song, and it's better than the last three.
8: Yeah, I agree. This song isn't that good.
9: Uh, this was, ummm....yeah, I have nothing to say.
10: It's alright, I guess? Even if Courtney Love kinda kills the vibe.
11: Well, it's a great song. Definitely one of the better songs on the album.
Overall, I kinda liked this album. Sure, it's not great, but I still enjoyed some of these songs. Even if they've done a whole lot better.
+Kosaki Onodera Impressive.
I like From Under The Cork Tree, Take This To Your Grave, Infinity On High & Folie A Deux. I'm not too crazy about their early work but it's not bad, no what's bad is the new crap their putting out.
Save Rock and Roll is just pure garbage, bad writing, terrible guest features & practicality zero instrumentals (I know that some bands can pull off some synth work & artificial melodies but for FOB it always feels like more of a cop out. & On here it REALLY shows!)
American Beauty/American Psycho was kind of an improvement but only by 10%. Honestly the only songs I like are The Kids Aren't Alright, Favorite Record & Twin Skeletons & even then it's guilty pleasures at best!
(Wow that rant went on longer than expected, I'm sorry) honestly I don't hate FOB & I don't think they're overrated (believe me, there's many worst bands out there that unfortunately have more exposure!) But I hate seeing them actively phoning in lazy melodies & generic songs.
Fall out boy was saying , hey someone save rock n roll because it won't be us we're switching over to pop music , the expectations for a hit song are way less.
Honestly I think it would be hard for FOB to make albums as good as Folie a Deux and Infinity on High again. Their current musical direction is just so out there and weird now, they sound a lot like Maroon 5, unfortunately. Patrick does way too much falsetto and adds strange vocal backing. And he is a fantastic vocalist who doesn't need that shit. I actually really like Save Rock and Roll, to me it has aged better than American Beauty/American Psycho. As a long-time fan it's much easier to listen to over and over again.
And yes, the title of this album isn't meant to be taken seriously. The song came first and Elton John suggested they give the album the same name because it would "annoy people." I think that's hilarious, because it did.
OH, they are nowhere near as bad as Maroon 5.
"Hey girl, are you a radio station? Because you're giving my antenna a strong signal"
I have some regretting the past suggestions
Crossfade - Crossfade
Puddle of Mudd - Life On Display
Saving Abel - Saving Abel
Tokio Hotel - Scream
Daugherty - Daughtry
Nickelback - All The Right Reasons
Animated Stories hey now, Crossfade was awesome!
Animated Stories He did All The Right Reasons already.
BlinkPS2 I like Crossfade and Colors from the album but i wouldn't really consider it amazing beyond that lol
MJNation i couldn't remember if he did that one or not. i knew he did a Nickelback album, but i couldn't remember which one.
darkrage6 I guess this shows just how much we regret Nickelback lol
This Pickup Line is Better than the One in the Song, I forgot it's name, Since they all Sound the Same.
"Did you fall from Heaven? Because you look like an Angel."
This album was decent, but certainly not their best work. The first half was really good, but the second half was a bit lackluster, but I love the closing track.
However, Under the Cork Tree and Infinity On High are amazing albums, easily masterpieces of the 2000s. I think Fall Out Boy is easily one of the best 2000s bands, even if their quality slipped a bit in recent years. It seems like people's biggest compliant regard their lyrics, which can be pretty messy. I guess lyrics aren't as important to me as the melodies, chorueses, flow, intrumentation, ext. Maybe more people would like fall out boy if they didn't let the "emo" nature ruin it for them, maybe...
As far as I'm concerned, people who care more about the lyrics than the music aren't music fans.
Death Valley, The Phoenix and Light Em Up are my favorite song in these album. I love how this album really feels like watching the thriller movie since every song in the whole album get a single music video, in an episodic way.
This is one sequinned platform shoe away from being disco!!!
Pick up line “is that a ladder in your stockings or a stairway to heaven?”
The 'just one yesterday' line is from Me and Bobby Mcgee. Not trying to be a dick, I just don't want a line from one the greatest songs of all time credited to Fall Out Boy.
it's not credited to them though you donut hole lmao. They received approval from bobby mcgee just like they did from uma thurman and nikki sixx
the album should have been called "the phoenix"
I can't honestly say I agree with most of what you said.. But I also might be heavily biased, as SRAR was my introduction to FOB, and your "worst song of the album", Death Valley, is actually my absolute favourite.
I personally would say FOB doesn't take itself seriously, the title "Save rock and roll" was not meant to be taken seriously. Most of the songs do have a rock feel to them, but they are also more pop-oriented. And I think that's fine, I love this album, its definitely one of my absolute favourites. but that's just, like, my opinion, man.
"It's Courtney BITCH!"
and this, the album falls.
I think infinity on high is their best album
AcePlays me too
what about folie?
Dead Children Playing of course someone had to ask that
Cyrus Harrison is that a bad thing
I Love MTN DEW It’s matter of opinion, but I think Folie is very very overrated.
As a guy who's pretty 50-50 split on this series, I gotta say I 100% agree this time. I liked Fall Out Boy in their earlier days, but now I think they've sold out HARD, and this is definitely my least favorite album of theirs. I will say the following album American Beauty/American Psycho is at least better than this one.
Red Vince my thoughts exactly
Unfortunately I don't have the money for Patreon (but I *metaphorically* support you! Small comforts), but I would love to see you do a Regretting the Past on the worst album of a band you really, really like: perhaps NIN, maybe even Radiohead, though I wouldn't dare to suggest which album would be the worst (partly because I don't want to start a flame war, and partly because Pretty Hate Machine is a guilty-ish pleasure).
Jacob Smith I haven't come across a terrible NIN release, unless you wanna put _Hesitation Marks_ was one due to it coming off as a HTDA b sides without Mariqueen singing.
AtrocityEquine Hard-core NiN fans hate with_teeth for being "too commercial" but I agree.
Pablo honey is just average and i actually like the king of limbs
@@xamp_exclammark King of Limbs is honestly one of my top three Radiohead albums.
Honestly, as much as people hate this album, this is honestly my favorite album covered on RTP. Maybe it’s because I’ve listened to this album when I was younger, but I can listen to all of the songs on here and have a fun time...yes, even Death Valley, Rat a tat, and The Mighty Fall (can’t believe I got past the simple plan interpolation). Yes, I’m aware that it’s NOT a rock album and it would be MUCH better if they used real instruments as sad as it is, and some lyrics are nonsensical (a cross walks and cross hearts and hope to die silver clouds with grey linings?!) but I still love the album regardless. I love the melodies, some of the lyrics are pretty badass, and despite some auto tune and production issues, Patrick stump is a powerhouse vocalist. Same thing goes for AB/AP...to a lesser extent (i will not defend the title track for the life of me). Still, we can all agree on one thing: they’re miles better than mania.
Hey!! I just wanna say I appreciate this video, I’m a massive FOB fan and I just love that you actually were pretty respectful instead of just bashing the album, you talked about the good and bad stuff you liked about it and your point is very clear. I very much enjoyed hearing your opinion!
I'm really surprised that this album made Regretting the Past. Really your only complaint is that it's not rock. I like this album but it doesn't really bother me that it's a "pop rock" album.
pop album
God bless you man thank u for paying
darkrage6 lol i actually love American Idiot, but I will ask for Load or Reload if i had the money
Sykdude
Exactly, even if it's a misleading album title, it's far from bad. Perhaps he's running out of bad albums or something...
+darkrage6 You requested this album to get validation of your hate for a band?
That's pathetic.
And I don't think it's why he made this series.
Alright guys, I think I've got it.
Triforce of Suckage
- Nickelback
- Limp Bizkit
- Creed
Triforce of Whining
- Simple Plan
- Good Charlotte
- Either All Time Low or Panic! at the Disco
Triforce of Drunk Moms
- Buckcherry
- Hinder
- Either Seether or Theory of a Deadman (unless there's an even worse butt rock band I'm forgetting)
Puddle of Mudd. A combination of all three.
Triforce of Wannabee Rockers
- Fall Out Boy
- 21 pilots
- Maroon 5
LoonieLKS Lmao that is a shitty pop trio, there's a lot of good pop out there
Phillip Morgan If there is good pop rock then Limp Bizkit belongs in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
Seether isn't that kind of band, swap for Saving Abel
Mania makes this album sound like a masterpiece
As I wear a Fall Out Boy shirt (I swear to God) I like this album but I definitely understand why people don't like it. They ditched their old formula of long song titles and rock music for a more poppy, mainstream song, and nothing shows this more than the singles that they had after their hiatus and the multiple singles that have hit the radio.
They didn't save Rock and Roll for shit, especially in this pop filled album, but I still like it. I have absolutely no reason to like it, but I do.
Rat A Tat is actually kinda hilarious especially with the "It's Courney, bitch!" bit
Idk, you can kill me if you want, but I kinda like Courtney Love.
L-zarus I think her music is very good, but her attitude and personality is awful.
Do an RTP on Maroon 5's "Overexposed" or "V"!!!
I didn't know Linkara was the lead singer for Fall Out Boy...
ExplodinGrandmas glad i'm not the only one who thought that
“Ayyy girl, words can’t describe your beauty...
... but numbers can. 3/10”
Where did I hear this again??
Hey Luke. Love the channel man! Keep up the great work. Love ya.
"Worst Fall Out Boy album" How is Save Rock and Roll their wor--
*sees release date* Oh, this came before Mania. Whoo, I thought I was going to turn into one of those fans for a second.
I enjoy this album. It's not a rock album by any means, but I like it for what it is.
whoops.
Fall Out Boy isn't emo. Fall Out Boy wasn't emo
darkrage6 isthisbandemo.com/?band=Fall+out+boy
darkrage6 Listen to Rites of Spring and get back to me
they were emo on their 1st 2 albums
darkrage6 rites of spring?
+Sean Crawford
They aren't Emo, per se. It's just people interpret their lyrics the wrong way.
This album is like The Dark Side Of The Moon compared to Mania.
Alternate Title: Save Rock and (T)Roll
To be honest I like all of their pre-hiatus music.
13:24 I knew you were going to make a Simple Plan joke and I'm so glad that you did. XD
"Take this to your grave" and some of "Under the Cork Tree" is the only Fall Out Boy album(s) I can stand and screm the lyrics in my car.
Goofy or not my favorite lyric as a teen that follows me till now
"So wear me like a Locket around your throat ill weigh you down and watch you choke, you look so good in blue. You look so good in blueeeee"
Stupid freaking SIMPLE PLA- (cuts to Tech. Diffs. screen) 13:26
I love the album but totally agree with what you say! I think they changed the style to suit the new generation of teenagers. I don't know if it worked, but nevertheless, I enjoy it despite being a major difference to their previous albums.
I always felt this album and the followup were a vicious response to the lackluster fan response to the high concept "Folie A Deux" where they really put their all in. Great review as usual sir!
From Under The Cork Tree, Infinity On High were amazing. Folie A Deux had some OK tracks, and even this did, too.
However, this album and AB/AP were both terrible for the most part and Mania was an all out DISASTER. From 2003-2011 they were Fall Out Boy, but now they're just Sell Out Boy.
Not their worst album in my opinion, had some catchy choruses and Stump was great, as per usual. Although, yeah.... could've used a more fitting title.
Most “Emo” Bands aren’t even Emo or called Emo from the Bands themselves just being Pop Punk or Goth at the time of the early 2000’s.
you are right. I love fall out boy and miss their old sound
I think The Phoenix is the heaviest pop song I have ever heard.
3:34 - Ah, a fellow RvB fan!
As for pickup lines... Well, anything from Tucker will do. 'Hey baby, I hear you're a pilot. Think you could pull up on my throttle?'
