Right on fellas, i took my 97 thundercat just about as far up you can go on ole Mackenzie. Thing pulled like rented mule. And Dawson word of advice, chain drive. Try and break that S.O.B
The whole poo, doo, cat thing, is like convincing someone about blondes, brunette, or read heads. Ride em, wreck em, and enjoy em (the sleds 🙄🤥). Stay safe everyone.
I had the work for the Ski Doo chain case service bulletin done when I brought my sled in for the fuel line recall. The chain case service is required for ‘23 Turbo Rs only. It replaces the chain and both gears.
The problem with the 23s chaincase in my opinion is not the driveshaft , its the bottom gear wobbling and being super sloppy on the coupler. And the wrong chains being installed at the factory. Ill see when they do my recall but im guess they didn’t address the wobble. I see tighter tolerances on tractor implements.
The reason why there's so much play in that gear is because of that shitty 2 piece drive shaft. There's a video that Mountain Sledder Garage did addressing the whole thing. ua-cam.com/video/tkPDnybkxBs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MountainSledderGarage
@@208SledHeadthe drive shaft has no affect on how loose the bottom gear is. The reason is because the bearing and retainer are bolted through the tunnel. iv watched their video and the tki video and the two piece drive being sloppy is a separate issue then the gear being sloppy because that driveshaft bearing is solid as a rock and the coupler is pressed into the bearing, so unless the bearing is falling apart the coupler will not move. I have the tki fix for the wobbly driveshaft and I made my own fix for the wobbly gear.
@@208SledHead The driveshaft without the tki retainer would likely grind out the splines on the driveshaft side of the coupler due to being so sloppy. Tki retains will likely fix that problem but only time will tell. The tki retainer will not fix the gear and chain issue. I got the recalled chain and gears replaced the other day at the dealer and they told me that the bottom gear has a tighter tolerance then the previous set, I haven’t torn into it to confirm that yet.
This is great! You guys really know your stuff just enough for it not to be to comlicated for me as a listener. Remember to put episode numbers on the title of the video so that we can keep track of the episodes!
I love you guys so much I have leaned and watched every single video for 4 years. from all your channels and instas. i got into riding from my dad as well i am a williams lake cariboo boy been riding in the rockies and big mountians up north forever. My 22 Arctic cat got stolen this summer and i was planning on a revy trip. so i am gonna rent a sled from full speed rentals mid january and try to come ride with you boys
Run boostane, its about 50 bucks/bottle only takes a couple ounces per tank to bring it to 94 or higher octane. I run it in my 21 850 turbo with silber tune. And ran it in a mcxpress 270 kit on a nytro. Running 25psi. Easier to handle than mixing race gas.
Snows bad everywhere.sadly. Back in either 2016 or 2017 I was up I revy oct 28 and 29. Had to jump the gate ride up the trail in mud but once we got up it was amazing snow. We r just in our cycle for snow probably a bad year.
Throughout your guys first ride I kept trying to get the three names and kept coming up short on one name. lol, keep up the great work! Dillan, Dawson, And Dallas
Good one boys! Nice to get to know the faces under the helmet.

I didn't realize Dawson was that young! I am looking forward to more of these!

The double standard gets so fucking old though. They'll talk shit on Polaris 8 days out the week while completely disregarding their own garbage.
The overnight cabin episode is defiantly one of my favorite missions. You added something to new my bucket list.

I think the beer can opening at the start is great! "Call of the wild!"
Come on over to Alaska, the alder trees are laying down and we just got 4' of fresh.
Come to the west coast in Newfoundland
Come down to mont valin in quebec

Gaht damn. So will the drive shaft be eating the bearing in time or does the TKI eliminate the potential??@@joelsalmond1788

There is also a recall on the fuel line rubbing.
