I'm the dev, I can't believe you actually got the good ending, after watching a few people play it I thought no one would ever try. I'm already working on something much better, trying to learn from what people have been saying, like making the level design less confussing, music that could fit sonic better than this rough dnb and in general just polishing it more. Thanks for playing it! Also sorry for the bugs, I thought I had fixed one that kills you when falling at the end of the first part of the act 1 but apparently it is still there, Sorry!
@@ypupiaradasilva I don't think I'll touch this hack again, at least in a long time. Right now Im working on my own on something new that I hope I'll have the time to polish more than this, but I barely spend time on it.

Polish the DnB if you dare. From what I've gathered so far, I don't think many have even tried DnB on a Genesis. If you're someone new to the sound chip and this is what you can get out of it, I can only imagine what you can do with it in just a few years of time.
Actually kinda neat seeing a more arcade style approach to a Sonic hack with the small stage pool, momentum-heavy levels and emphasized scoring system at the endings, definitely a hack with a lot of personality and distinctive choices. Gotta say the music sounds rough here, almost like some MIDIs didn't translate over well to the Genesis or something, and there's some inconsistent sprite quality for sure; but it's always really interesting to see such a big departure in style and the gameplay changes/level-design actually seem pretty solid here. A little odd for sure, but very cool
@Jates-xx9bx you should work on Parappa In Sonic 2 cuz both the north American release dates of Sonic 2 and Parappa The Rapper For the PS1 were Both released in the same month which is November in North America.

A Sonic game taking place in Spain (the Eastern archipelago shown in the intro cutscene is the map of the Balearic Islands, an island that belongs to Spain). Arriba España.
So. This hack is a fucking trip, alright. Its choice of making Sonic smaller to emphasize how large the world around him is creative.... Until you start thinking about environmental items like the flowers, the totems, the stop signs... Why would they be so big???? Is this fucking Mario??? I mean, considering how crazy Sonic's world is, it's not precisely impossible, but, still... It has a lot of unique mechanics like the strange flame shield, the fact Sonic is small, the heavy score focus and the momentum based level design... which is neat! It has a lot of personality. The music can't be defended, though. That shit's either absolutely awful or downright unsettling at times. Combine that with the bad ending's jarring ending text (in which, mind you, it's stated that the world straight up ENDS) which is fucking accompanied by HAPPY MUSIC (which comes from the original game, meaning it's actually well composed, making it stand out from the rest of the game), the unintentionally funny fake final boss which is literally just Eggman with a fucking GUN (and of course the music and insanely rapid movement it has makes it even worse) Then they're on the moon in the true final boss???? It really feels like I'm high watching this. It's like some sort of demented fever dream.
This music kind of reminds me of how Sonic Sad Hill’s music was like in terms of vibes. I feel like that’s what they were trying to go for . The music in that hack was like “vaguely familiar but something’s off”. It worked pretty well aside from some pretty grating tracks like the final boss.
@@EpicKMetalSonic the execution was didn’t hit the mark but it had a lot of good ideas. I think people stopped taking it seriously towards the end with use of Green Hill. Which made end for the story it was trying to tell but became annoying for gameplay
The true final boss looks so out of place and weird to me, i dont even know what to feel about it, it kind of reminds me of chinelin's SONIC video in a way i dont know how to explain
Probably gonna sound biased here, but I hate how many new fangames implement the drop dash. It's reached a point where, aside from in the original media, it goes overused and just feels kind of boring at this point. I'm hoping that more fangames are released without the dropdash, bringing in aspects like the insta-shield instead.
I do personally believe you're biased, yes. It's the best move SEGA has come up with in years. Are you gonna ask people to remove the spindash next? I do believe the Instashield should be used more though. I am a firm believer that both moves should be allowed to coexist with each other, alongside the Spindash and the Peelout.
@@EpicKMetalSonic The spindash is different. That's been in the games since Sonic 2 and used ever since, and being one of his most iconic moves it makes sense. But the drop dash, while yes it was introduced in a Sonic 3 prototype, wasn't fully implemented until Sonic Mania, and because of that it feels overused. Every fangame I've seen, even ones I love like Isle of Magnetic Artifacts, has it and it's gotten kind of old. I'd like to see another game with just the Sonic 3 loadout + super peelout (which in my opinion is underused) rather than putting the drop dash into everything. And I agree, if they could make it so you tap A in midair for the insta-shield and hold it for the drop dash that would be really cool.
Sega is overusing the drop dash as much as fans are, so meh, makes sense for fans to do so as well. Sega doesn't seem to care if the drop dash really suits Modern Sonic anyway, so I don't think it matters at the end of the day.
I think I agree with you. It's on the same level as people using Mania sprites in their projects. It just feels like incorporating modern day Sonic stuff for the sake of putting it in there and it takes me out of it. If I'm supposed to believe this takes place after Sonic 1, why is the drop dash there? It's like when people put modern Sonic characters into classic styled games. It just doesn't fit with me. And I know that's weird because the drop dash is a classic Sonic thing but idk it feels like fans are looking at the drop dash and Mania sprites and whatever and adding it in for the sake of "le kino sonic mechanic" rather than because they actually care about it. Half of the drop dash usage in fangames don't fit imo, the levels are never designed with it in mind.
@Jates-xx9bx Oh! Youre the one who made this rom hack! Thank you for it, I really like it :DD And i, personally, like most of the songs in it! Thank you!
