The Finns and the Swiss have mastered the legacy Hornet. The 2019 Finn display was still the best Hornet demo I've ever seen. This routine is still brilliant, though, and together with that lunatic Belgium Viper driver it's a hell of a 4th gen lineup 👏
Oi oi!!! I was there Saturday but as I knew you were live streaming I wasn't going to bother you guys!!! Ohhhh yeahhhhhh - the Finnish F18 NEVER disappoints, what a display of power and it's always one of the highlights of the show!!! Shame about the weather.....!!!!!

WoW! His style is different from others ive seen, he showed a lot of control over the plane and not letting it to over roll or give the idea the plane was loose even when hitting the after burners and stop or carefully glide along while on full power was amazing @6:16. Also i love the way he turn the engines down as he approach and lighting them up again to make his move here move here 4:43 which he hid from the clouds never knowing where he will punch out of the clouds is one of the high light for me.
@6:16 is a 30 High Alpha , all Hornets from the first A model perform this at airshows as I did many times too. The Finnish Hornets incorporated some software that they made and created that most Hornets don't have which allows higher angles of attack, but any Hornet can over ride the AoA limiter and G limiter and do this stuff. Its just hard on the air frame.
Had another helping of 0:29 F18 Hornet wizardry from Finland. Don't mind if I do get fat on this! Woh! They do look evil. But great. 4:00 Looks like it just floats in the air. 4:56 defying the laws of physics. 6:37 MA just great. 8:32 oh my word, in what text book does that move come from? Coolest of cool, he stole it, he flew it, he brought it back. Big hand ✋️ 👌 👏👏
Absolutely love the hornet, what a capable aircraft in the right hands, also glad to see that RIAT wasn't a complete washout this year. That tail is some might fine artwork too. Great Video, keep up the great work as always !
Ahh my favorite fighter aircraft when I was a kid and my current favorite 4th gen. The low speed maneuverability and nose authority/AOA is just so impressive with Hornets
Ooh yeaaaah! You know there's one thing learning the choreography for the display team and planning your shots to make great videos, then there's what we just watched. Absolute quality coverage. Unbelievably difficult to follow, focus, zoom on a jet being thrown around by an ace pilot. Nikos, I for one salute you Sir. Jolly good show old bean! 🫡
