*“That boy isn’t yours.”* - Rio basically confirming that Teen isn’t Nicholas Scratch, her son. *“Don’t.”* - That was SOOOOO LAYERED, the way Agatha said that to Rio. That “Don’t” meant “Don’t do this to me again, please.” Also basically confirming Rio = Lady Death. Ex girlfriends with a century’s long history. My Theory: Nicholas died from a plague like sickness. Agatha tried to save him, but it was Rio’s job to take him; causing the rift. So, to try and bring him back Agatha got her hands on The Darkhold.
I saw some people thinking the line "That boy isn't yours" could allude to it being more like his soul belongs to something else, like Mephisto, and it being a warning to not go there and re-traumatize herself. (I think the Mephisto truthers from Wandavision just want a round 2 lol) Not saying I agree with the theory, I'm taking what Rio said at face value for now.
My theory: Agatha made a deal with the devil (i.e. Mephisto in Marvel lore) to get the Darkhold, messing up the payment terms (the old "the first thing that greets me when I come home" story). Rio is one of Mephisto's demons whose job was to collect the payment. Them being in a relationship gave Agatha access to bargain for the Darkhold in the first place. Note that Rio implied she may have come up to the road, not down.
what absolutely killed me was every time you looked at Ms. Patti Lapone during the Lorna's ballad sequence, she had a different instrument. She had the zills, she had a triangle, she had the maracas, she had a tambourine! 😂😂
I’m glad Agatha has grown a real strong attachment bond with Teen to the point where she actually shows her true emotions that she’s hiding in the inside trying to claw it’s way out to the surface, whether or not it’s her son or not he seems to be bringing out the good inside of her 🥺
- I think that Fleetwood Mac was on the wall because Agatha's look seems to be inspired by Stevie Nicks. - Alice felt lighter because the curse was no longer perched on her.
Sasheer channeling Donna Summer, Ali rocking the classic Yoko & John look, and Joe showing off his inner David Cassidy. (I fear it's impossible not to in those pants) The real mystery for me though is... where the heck was Patti finding all those damned instruments?
There are SO MANY CLUES about two main characters in this episode and the reveals that are coming for them! I can't wait to see how it all plays out. The show is just getting better and better every episode!
You guys give me so much joy. I have watched some films and TV shows I would never touch just because you have reacted to them. Watching your reaction videos makes me laugh and makes me feel like I am in a virtual community of decent people who love film and TV. Agatha All Along can get anyone in the cast. How crazy is it see the great Patti LuPone featuring? And Kathryn Hahn is perfect in this role. She's such a smart-aleck. And a psycho. Love her. Please, please do Misery some day. I know you have a long list of films to react to. It's a classic, an Oscar-winner, and it's (I think) the horror film with the most sympathetic villain. Doesn't everyone root for Annie Wilkes?
I think this episode is hinting that Rio (Aubrey Plaza) could be Lady Death in the comics. Who’s the personification of Death and is a cosmic entity like Eternity from Thor Love and Thunder and The Living Tribunal who’s been referenced a few times in the MCU. In the comics, Thanos’s motivation for gathering the Infinity Stones and erasing half of all life in existence is so he could impress her since he fell in love with her. Yes, he wiped out trillions of people in the universe because he was a simp for the living embodiment of Death, who’s a skeleton chick. Another fun fact, while Death may not have a thing for the Mad Titan, she does have a thing for the merc with the mouth himself, Deadpool. And he also has a thing for her too. But the two can’t be together since he’s almost impossible to kill. Just thought I’d let you two know this for some reason.
Agatha was never shown as evil in Wandavision. She only looked that way because our point of view was Wanda. At best, she's chaotic neutral, maybe even lawful neutral. Sure, she's to a hero what a bounty hunter is to a cop, and she's morally wrong by intentionally getting into situations where she can invoke self-defence, but that's all. In ep1, in her banter with Rio, both acknowledged that they are not allowed to kill each other...i.e. Agatha's emotional unwillingness doesn't even come into play, as she would respect whatever law forbids it. Her cop personality puts it nicely. She was suspended for punching a suspect and complains the suspect was later convicted. That's exactly what happened in Wandavision. She attacked Wanda, got punished for it, and then Wanda was convicted (Multiverse of Madness) for exactly the crime Agatha accused her of.
Marvel Comics context for "The Daughters of Liberty": Agatha led a covert (secret) group of various magic users/supernatural beings of different strengths, (Alchemists, Sorcerors, Witches, Werewolves, Vampires, Rio by her Comics name, etc.) in leveraging the magical world against the British magic users during the Revolutionary War.
I love the concept that a sigil is destroyed when it is no longer needed. They can do a lot with that. I personally think that if Teen is in fact Wanda's son, the sigil will be destroyed when Agatha cares about him so much that she won't want to harm him even if she knows who he really is. I mean, we have seen her care about him, but she probably thought that Teen could be her own son. So, after what Rio said (something that could honestly be taken many different ways as well, but let's consider we're taking what she said at face value), Agatha's care for the Teen might be shaken a bit. But I do find interesting what was said in the beginning of the episode. Teen says that people can't be replaced and Agatha responds with "Can't they?". So maybe, even if Teen is not Nicholas, Agatha will end up caring about him so much, kinda like a "replacement", that it won't matter he is not hers. Thus breaking the sigil.
"Is this the cast of HAIR?" It certainly isn't the cast of Let My People Come (1974 musical revue.) Have you boys ever checked out the lyrics to The Pussycat Song by Bob & Tom?
I feel weird, I have a theory and this is kinda a stretch, so what if Agatha's prize for making it through the road the first time was the darkhold? And that would be why she sacrificed her son... That's not it, I feel like they're trying too hard to make Teen seem like Agatha's son but he could also be Billy, now this is the stretch, WHAT IF... Sacrificing her son... Turned him into Agatha's bunny?... and she didn't know? The bunny is also named Senior Scratchy... The way they made Teen pick Senior Scratchy in episode 2 was a little suspicious...
And when The Ballad of Witches Road sweeps at the 2025 Grammys????
But...which version? Theme, True Crime, Sacred, Cover (Agatha), or Cover (Lorna Wu)?
I can't really decide which one is my favourite...

Agatha All Along just might be the best project disney has put out? Help why am i casting spells and making potions? 🤭

@@CyclopsToppingWolverine Yea, I don't think Teen is Nicholas but I think Rio's statement is meant to be ambiguous to whether he is or not.
They accidentally leaked who the teen is. 😮

You can see Alice's powers showing towards the end when she's really going to town on the piano. It's like an orange glow

Who teen is accidentally leaked.
The way they're playing with teen's identity as a foil to Agatha's past with her son is SO genius. I was tearing up a bit this episode.
right
15:54 I think the man that tricked her was the man that was drowning her in the sink during her delusional stage in the 3rd episode.
18:30 ''They were roomate" said historian.
Lilia’s random sentences are future predictions since she is a divination witch theyre moment from the future
The idea that someone, somewhere in the world is playing Lorna's Ballad as a protection for Alice is genius and totally mindblowing!
witches and 70s rock and roll? my two favorite things in one episode
right😍

It's officially Joe Locke Season! Co-starring in Agatha All Along and Heartstopper at the same time! 💙❤️🛑🏳️🌈
14:36 "pull it out before he's dead!"
that will, in fact, kill him faster 😭
The song keeps on giving, this version is so f*cking awesome, I've been playing it on loop on Spotify 🥰
18:30 Okay, Agatha moans. That is a good start. 😂
Sasheer channeling Donna Summer, Ali rocking the classic Yoko & John look, and Joe showing off his inner David Cassidy. (I fear it's impossible not to in those pants)
The real mystery for me though is... where the heck was Patti finding all those damned instruments?
She's a witch, and she's mother. She just can do it.
Also, it may have been the Road hijinks.
yesss donna summer😍
I love how much you guys love this show because it's literally my favorite lately and definitely my favorite Marvel one
