Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash played percussion on this track. Yes, the Bee Gees were, by a lot of people, credited with jump starting the disco era. It would be far more accurate to say they rejuvenated it as it was actually starting to die out a little at the time.
John Travolta prepared for the Saturday Night Fever movie by practicing his dance moves to this song. When he was told by the producers that "Night Fever" would be used for the sequence for which he was practicing, Travolta insisted that "You Should Be Dancing" be used instead. The dance sequence from the movie was choreographed by Deney Terrio, host of the TV show Dance Fever.

What makes the Bee Gees disco tunes the best disco tunes are the DRUMS by real drummer who is really good. Many disco tunes used a drum machine and they were dead rhythmically.
Nice reaction, Lee. Could you please go down the Doobie Brothers rabbit hole? I think it should take the place of Steely Sundays after you are through reviewing all of their music.
As far as Disco goes this was pretty good. In my medium size city Disco took over everything for a couple of years. As far as music goes it sucked. However, I'm a half glass empty guy. A) It brought more women out to the bar. B) They dressed up and smelled nice. In the age off bell bottomed jeans and dashikis everything was pretty au natural. Nothing wrong with that but it was refreshing to see girls in nice clothes, nice hair, and a little makeup again.
I used to wear the shirt proudly disco sucks but now that I am older I'm enjoying this journey through the Bee Gees I had no idea they did r&b and the Disco stuff is kind of good I enjoy it actually❤🔥🎶

@L33Reacts - "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart." That is before this era of Bee Gees, but a really good song.
Absolutely ❤
The brothers four..
Disco music is easier to listen to, IMO, when it's not the only thing on the radio : )
So very psyched to see how Lee Reacts to this!🎉❤💯🎶🔥
Thanks Scott! That was fun! Even L33 couldn't keep from dancing to this irresistible groove! ☮❤🎶
@@robotronrichardI got a few more in que from the Saturday Night Fever movie that are monster Hits one has 650 million views I can't wait to see him do that actually❤
@@robotronrichardI also admire that he's got the balls to still react to the videos to hell with the naysayers as I'm a die-hard rock and roller and I can still enjoy these classics!!❤💯🔥🎶
Tragedy and the mining accident are really good to me
I think Lee if I remember correctly your favorite is nights on Broadway❤
🇨🇦 Americans think that 'Disco' started in America in the late 1970's, but I worked in a Disco in London England from 1969 to 1971 ! 🇨🇦
Wow cool as I didn't know that
Yes, the Bee Gees were, by a lot of people, credited with jump starting the disco era. It would be far more accurate to say they rejuvenated it as it was actually starting to die out a little at the time.
@@p-dru2205So Barry's falsetto is credited with re-jumping the disco era!😁

Wow!! Getting close to 35K subs!!!
I think my prediction of 50K by New Year's Day is very doable!!!❤
John Travolta prepared for the Saturday Night Fever movie by practicing his dance moves to this song. When he was told by the producers that "Night Fever" would be used for the sequence for which he was practicing, Travolta insisted that "You Should Be Dancing" be used instead.
The dance sequence from the movie was choreographed by Deney Terrio, host of the TV show Dance Fever.
🇨🇦 You will have to watch the movie to catch John Travolta on the dance floor ! And you missed Andy Gibb on vocals and hand clapping LOL ! 🇨🇦
Break out your platform shoes, Lee! 🕺💃
😅 lolol❤
He was kinda rocking out in his seat during the reaction but I couldn't tell if Lee had shoes or sneakers...😅❤
Hey Lee!! Two of the three in que are from the "black list" album/soundtrack that you were mentioning in the video. These are gonna be very interesting for us to see how you react as these were Monster Hits!!! Also one is Robin doing entire lead and its goosebump on your arms material sooo.... #psyched❤🎉💯💪😎🎶

Good one bro!! Did you notice little brother Andy Gibb along with the older BeeGees?
Yes❤
MOVIE "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼MADE JOHN TRAVOLTA (DANCER) FAMOUS AND THE SOUNDTRACK BY BEE GEES WAS A MULTI-MILLION DOLLARS ALBUM!!! BEE GEES GAINED TREMENDOUS FAME. 🎤🎤🎤🎤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely ❤ I have the uncut version on DVD still...lol
👌👌🤜
🎶🔥❤️
During this time, as a LZ, Pink Floyd, Bowie fan, I hated disco.
(But I secretly bought this album, but hid it from everyone. )
❤😂
That's so awesome LOL like I said in other posts I used to have my disco suck shirt and wear it proudly but I got to admit now these songs actually Rock as I'm in a different place than I was back then❤
Did you actually listen to it??
@@scottyhotty1003 only in my car, by myself. 😜
@Linda-y9h lmaooo😂😅🤣❤️
Here I am.....
Please react to baby brother Andy Gibb’s #1 hit I JUST WANT TO BE YOUR EVERYTHING with another surprise big name playing on it.
Who?
Joe Walsh
Did you notice youngest brother ANDY singing next to Maurice? LEE, I hope sometime you will do some ABBA, they are fantastic too, tons of great songs.
Please react to Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing I Just Wanna Be Your Everything.
Such a great performance!
Check out the title track of their last album This Is Where I Came In from 2001. A little different than much of their other material.
How about shadow dancing by Andy gibb younger brother
Also my everything is really good by Andy Gibb too ❤
@scottyhotty1003 that too or don't throw it all away is great one
Andy Gibb had several hits on his own. Could they be checked out? "I just want to be your everything," like you said, "Shadow Dancing," and others.
This included the younger Bro Andy Gibb
I believe the Bee Gees are the only famous band ever to come from the Isle of Man (off the north-west coast of England).
I thought they were Australian lol
@@scottyhotty1003 The family did move to Australia later.
Good fun song. Check out the live cover video by Big Apple Band ( early Chic )
Not for nothing the monkeys and the Bee Gees are good music and I'm so grateful that you don't try to alienate subscribers who want to mix it up as variety is the spice of life and like we said the other week listening to Pink Floyd money for the 1 million time ain't going to cut it❤
What makes the Bee Gees disco tunes the best disco tunes are the DRUMS by real drummer who is really good. Many disco tunes used a drum machine and they were dead rhythmically.
Wow cool
@L33Reacts
Hey! It’s 11/6/24! Where’s the “Bee Gees Wednesdays Reaction”? Scott….what happened? Did I miss it this week?
I was wondering too!😁
Are you saying you’ve never watched Saturday Night Fever? 😳
Lip synched - cool to see youngest brother Andy
Yeah it was wild to see Andy for sure❤
Not the whole video, the parts with Andy are live, Barry gave Andy his mic for a solo vocal performance, check out the video/song from the whole concert tour!
@ well the performance was real not the audio
Personally I prefer Travolta's dance moves in Pulp Fiction at Jack Rabbit Slims to Chuck Berry's, “You Never Can Tell".
Seriously?
@@scottyhotty1003 Absolutely, never was a disco fan.
@@NickPangio-pi1sw I wasn't either growing up used to wear the Disco sucks shirt but as I got older I like a lot of it now actually
