    I know it is unusual for my age, but researching food has been the best decision i can think of, thank you covering a part of it!

      You're right, but it shouldn't be unusual. I believe people try and ignore compounding problems for decades until they're older and they can no longer ignore the impact of food and lifestyle on how they look and feel. Given how powerful food and digestion are, it should be a normal thing to learn and to pay attention to. I think it's wise to figure this stuff out when you're younger. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    This is one of the best videos I have ever watched in my entire fucking life. You have successfully confirmed all of my theories about vitamin D and testosterone and ive personally had H pylori previously and everyhting you’ve said with sources and studies shown!!, makes SO MUCH SENSE !!!

    I went from 334 to 960 in around 3 months all natural no TRT. Eating foods that promote testosterone will not solve the problem if you have imbalances elsewhere in your body. This book should be essential reading for all men. Written by a 50s guy with natural T levels higher than most 20s guys

      That's awesome to hear. What would you say is the biggest thing that you switched that you attribute those results to? I just looked up the book and can't find any summaries or big ideas about his approach.
      I agree that food can't solve the problem alone, but it can help, and good nutrition is required to be optimally healthy and high T. I have a video prior to this one that goes deeper into the causes. It seems to me that low T is caused by sludgy blood causing testicular atrophy which is caused by a declining immune system. Food plays a role, for sure, but there are huge lifestyle and environmental factors impacting immunity.

      @@polowick The summary is that for balanced hormones you need a body that is balanced in all ways. Testosterone is just one hormone of more than 50 hormones the body makes. Many guys tend to just focus on only testosterone when the root cause could lie elsewhere. Nutrition is important but what is good nutrition for you personally varies and is individual specific. As in your video there are some foods which are beneficial to everyone. For me my root cause was mass gain and chasing an aesthetic physique. I was obsessed with having permanent 6 pack abs and wide shoulders. Switching to a leaner more athletic physique and upping my bodyfat just a bit made a difference. Not many realise but mass gain or constant bulking and cutting crashes testosterone levels long term. And places the body under constant stress. With all this social media content telling us what the ideal body should be is certainly a huge problem. But again what exactly your own optimum body is, is also individual specific. The book aims for not only optimum T levels but also the permanent maintenance of optimal testosterone levels. And you are indeed on to something with your sludgy blood theory because optimum blood flow is vital so improving cardiovascular fitness and function works well. Consider that many men now dont do enough cardio work because it reduces body mass and it is believed that muscle gains are lost with higher levels of cardio. Actually for testosterone higher levels of cardio help preserve testosterone levels especially for older men. Yes environmental pollutants are a big factor and with many men now using many chemical based products for grooming this is not helping. Another big pointer is that the majority of social media content is now crashing mens confidence and self belief and this certainly increases stress factors and results in poor mental health for many

    I had no idea fish was associated with higher testosterone. Pretty cool.
    I also like the fish roe idea. I'm going to see if I can find some around here.
    Mind you, I suppose, I probably don't need to worry about vitamin D too much.

      Fish is amazing, and it's a shame that so few people include it in their diet. Salmon fish roe is red from the high levels of vitamin A complexes, which is a good antidote to direct sun exposure. I wonder what kind of roe you'll have access to down South! Even with lots of sun, vitamin D generation can be impacted based on a variety of factors such as having low vitamin A, disrupted digestion, thinner/aging skin, or too many burdens on the body. Even things that are considered healthy, like fibre, can cause a need for more vitamin D. "High fiber intake was suspected the reason for the reduced bioavailability of vitamin D for higher prevalence of rickets and osteomalacia in Asian immigrant’s population" PMID: 29085118

    agreed, I would also add a few things:
    1) destillation is better and cheaper than reverse osmosis devices. I have been drinking destilled tap water for years now and am using it for everything that goes into my mouth. unlike the popular believe, its not dangerous, and the minerals lost are only a very insignificant amount compared to minerals from diet.
    2) you want to not use any plastic bottles. use glass or porcellain, or steel.
    3) when it comes to chronic inflammation, the most important part is not eating sugars and additives, but also carbs in general should be avoided. there is no natural food source for humans that contains a significant amount of carbs, that is abundant and accessible all over the year, the only exception being milk as an infant, but this is also lactose. sources like honey or even fruits are natural, but very rare. royal jelly is much better than honey because it is much more like milk, it has a surprising amount of fats and protein, and much less sugar. if you avoid processed foods and only focus on animal based foods, thats practically no carbs. people might say they feel terrible on low carbs, but thats because the body is inefficient at using fats, and it needs time to adjust. your body is meat to operate purely on protein and fat, as it can produce all the carbs it needs out of them, and in nature, there are almost no carb sources.
    4) avoid all plant oils especially seed oils at all cost, especially heated. use butter or other animal fat. I would also avoid plant based shampoos and cosmetics.
    5) beef contains L carnitine, which raises androgen sensitivity. this is beneficial as you are getting more out of your testosterone.

      Awesome. Thanks for posting this comment-we share a lot of common ground!
      1. I don't use RO, and you could be right about distilling. I personally get spring water from a protected area delivered to me, but I know that is a large hassle, too large for many people, and that RO can be a simple solution that is pretty powerful. But if I had to pick between RO and distilled, I'd go for distilled as well.
      2. My favourite is glass, porcelain, or enamel. Stainless steel can still expose you to high levels of nickel and chromium (PMID: 1514841). Plastic is a problem as well. But our body can be pretty great at detoxing as long as we ease the burden as much as possible, get time outdoors, and eat nutritious foods.
      3. I believe a lot of people have problems with grains and starches, for sure. But many people also, unknowingly IMO, have a problem with pasteurized dairy. Raw/natural dairy is like a completely different food. I don't think it's a carb problem so much as an immunity problem leading to bacterial overgrowth in the gut. So, you can see great results by omitting those foods, but it might be more enjoyable and sustainable to scale back problematic foods while rebuilding your immune system to regain carb tolerance and food freedom.
      4. I mostly agree here. I avoid industrial seed oils. But I and many of my clients found a lot of symptom resolvement by avoiding pasteurized dairy, including pasteurized butter. Grass-fed tallow doesn't have any of the issues of pasteurized dairy and is still an animal-based source.
      5. Beef, particularly grass-fed beef, is amazing :) So many reasons, and yeah, carnitine is a great one.

    I didn't get a point about coffee. It belongs to the category of food that increase vitamin d, but on the other hand it states that coffee can burn out vitamin d

      Ah, sorry. I could have explained my thoughts better. For whatever reason, both smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee can raise testosterone. In the video I made earlier on testosterone, I postulated that this could be due to vitamin B3 / nicotinic acid found in both tobacco and coffee. But maybe it's the caffeine itself (PMID: 18458357) giving a temporary boost, and that's why we love caffeine. The only problem is that too much caffeine, long-term, tends to be linked to low vitamin D. So coffee could be a double-edged sword, and I'd wager it's best combined with plenty of time outdoors and/or UV therapy if you love it as much as I do. But something like eating pancreas or fish roe just tends to be all upside (aside from the cost and time prepping.)

      Nice. Did you see results with fasting?
      I believe fasting can help as a temporary tactic because you stop eating something that's currently causing you digestive distress. It can give your body time to catch up. So it can have it's place as a tool, it might be better to figure out what that food is that's causing the problem and/or rebuilding your immune system to tolerate those harder-to-digest foods better.

      @polowick yes it works because the body basically heals everything thing during fasting. From the gut to the brain. It should and always was a part of the human living back in the healthier times.
      But fasting must be learned. It means no no food, no water (fluids) and no mental stress too. It's optimal to get outside in nature and be light physical active. And remember fasting is not starving.
      You will feel the effects right away. Mental clarity, immune health, more energy without stimulants like caffeine. More vitality!

      @@polowick i think fasting is great if used like a detox tool, for example you had a cheating meal day this Holiday so you gonna fast tomorrow as a body reset. I always do this and works wonders

      ​ @Leonidas-eu9bb Nice. I've done 24-hour fasts a couple of times and practiced 16:8 IF for a while. It's a great tool, and we've got a lot of common ground there. I felt better eating food that just wasn't inflammatory / triggering for my own immune system. For example, instead of intermittent fasting, at first I switched to having lots of raw honey mixed into warm water. IMO you'd get the healing effects of fasting because you're not eating something inflammatory, and then some additional benefits that come from its anti-bacterial properties and anti-diabetic energy. But that's just my experience, and I'm glad you've found a tool to help you feel great. Vitality is what we're all after!
